First time use of your Toucan
Before use
The Toucan Solar MP4 player can be charged with the intregrated solarpanel.Putthe Toucan with the
solar panel above in sunlight or artificial light and the built-in rechargeable Lithium battery will be charged.
The green indication LED will be on during charging.
The battery can also be charged with the included 220V AC charger.
With the included USB-cable you can download music, video and photofiles in the supported formats1
from your computer.Turn on the Toucan and connect the Toucan with the included USB-cable with your
computer. The computer recognizesthe Toucan as an external diskand through the navigating function
you can copyfilesto and from yourMP4 player. When you are using Windows98 as operting system it
could be possible that after connecting the computer doesnot recognize the Toucan automatically.
You can use driver which isavailable on the CD-ROM which isincluded. Wit the function ‘New Hardware’
from your Windows98 operating system you can search for new hardware (the by USB connected
Toucan). You can then select the driver on the CD-ROM to install.
After you have downloaded supported fileson yourToucan, you can watch orlisten these files on your
MP4 player.
Using the Toucan
1. Switch the on/off switch at the top of the Toucan to the ‘on’ position.
Push the ‘play’ button for about 3 secondsand the display will turn on. After the short start up display
the following display will apear.

Thisisthe main menu of yourMP4-player. With the left and right button you can skip through the 9
functionsyou can choose. With the enter button you can select the function.
