About this Manual
This manual has been written specifically for system integrators so
they can fully configure and test the Pioneer DRM-5004X CD-ROM
Jukebox with their software before shipping to customers.
It also was written with the end-user in mind. If the unit needs to be
moved to another location or set up to be used in another system
configuration, basic questions can be answered by referencing this
User’s Guide.
Here are some of the highlights of this manual:
• Features of the CD-ROM Jukebox (DRM-5004X), the
CD-ROM Drive (DR-D504X) and the CD-ROM Writer
(DR-R504X) are fully described.
• You will find detailed instructions for setting-up and testing
the DRM-5004X with a basic two-reader configuration.
• There are step-by step instructions to custom configure the
unit by installing additional Pioneer CD-ROM Readers
and/or CD-ROM Writers.
• Upgrading Firmware is also described.
The Pioneer DRM-5004X CD-ROM Jukebox is a software dependent,
industrial quality product, designed for a wide range of uses. Many
uses are determined by specific software written for the product.
