live parts (power supply dangerous parts) and parts
that are accessible under normal use. Use only identical
replacement parts for repair.

3EN
This designation of the electrical device means that the
device is provided with an outer cover which partially
protects the internal electrical functional parts and
components from dust and foreign objects with a diameter
greater than 2.5 mm. Protection against splashing water
at 60° at 10 l / min. at a pressure of 50-150 kN/m2 for 5
minutes.
Warning!
The degree of protection of the device is tested under
specific technical conditions and does not imply that
the equipment is intended for use under conditions of
permanent dust and water exposure.

- water at the main control unit (outdoor unit, outdoor
temperature sensor has IP33 protection, is waterproof -
outdoor rain)
- aggressive environmental influences.
• The operating environment of the device must always be in
accordance with the established essential characteristics.
Operating environment characteristics
• The outdoor temperature sensor (IP33) is waterproof (do not
immerse it in water, is only resistant to rain).
IP 33

4EN
• Main unit - control unit - basic protection class IPX0 (when the
device is not protected by its cover against the effects of water)
is not marked on the product and in the technical parameters
specified in the operating instructions.

• Unpack the equipment and accessories before putting them
into service and remove any parts of the packaging materials,
etiquettes and labels. Store packaging materials in a safe place,
especially out of the reach of children and incapacitated persons,
or dispose of them safely.
• If the device has been stored at low temperatures (eg winter) or
excessive humidity, allow it to “acclimate” at room temperature
for about 1 hour to remove any moisture in the electronic
components resulting from ambient temperature changes.

5EN
• Do not expose the device to indoor use to water or moisture. Do
not place any containers of water or other liquids on the device.
• Do not install the device near heat sources or other devices that
generates excessive heat.
• Do not place any objects on top of the device that may cause a
hazardous situation (eg burning candles, etc.).
• To avoid the risk of electric shock (in the case of equipment
that operates with hazardous AC power), do not disassemble
the device or attempt to service it yourself. Leave any electrical
equipment repairs to qualified service personnel.
Operation/Use
Caution!
• In places where the use of mobile phones is
not permitted, or where the device may cause
interference or danger, for example in hospitals
and near high-sensitivity electronic medical
devices, fuels, chemical substances, or places
where blasting operations are carried out, switch
off mobile devices with caution.
• Follow all safety instructions and warnings in
these locations.
• A digital weather station that operates in the
433 MHz band may interfere with other wireless
devices or networks.
• If this device is placed too close to other 433MHz
devices, it may not work properly and may cause
problems due to radio wave interference.
Warning!
• The manufacturer and the supplier are not
responsible for improper operation at the location
where interference occurs.
• If there is any difference in weather forecast
between the local weather station and this
device, the weather forecast in the local weather
station is preferred. The manufacturer is not
responsible for the incorrect weather forecast
provided by this device.

6EN
• This product may not be used to inform the
public. Only consider the weather forecast for this
weather station as a guide. The manufacturer
is not responsible for any improper display of
weather forecasts on the display of this weather
station and the consequences thereof.
• The AC adapter must remain easily accessible
during use. The device must not be exposed to
dripping or splashing water.
• Do not use the product in locations where the
use of electronic device is not permitted.
• Do not place the product near fields of
interference, metal frames, computers, TV, and
so on. Electronic devices and window frames can
adversely affect product performance.
Technology
Frequency band
• This device uses the 433 MHz unlicensed radio frequency band.
Certifications
• This device complies with frequency limits and has been certified
to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements for
frequency bands. Therefore, no wireless authorization is required.
• The interventions listed below are illegal:
- remove parameter labels
Determination of use
• This system is designed for general-purpose home use.
• Wireless transmission from an external sensor may adversely
affect the functionality of electronic medical devices.
• Do not use this system near equipment or in a high-frequency
environment such as:
places with the presence of flammable gas,
places near automatic door systems, alarm devices like:
- airports,
- Hospital
- laboratories
- petrol stations, etc.
because broadcast interference can cause an accident.

7EN
Use range
• Use the outdoor wireless sensor at a distance of up to 10 m (no
obstacles).
• Different types and environments, obstacles or interference may
reduce the transmission range (e.g. metal barriers, walls, people ...).
Interference with other devices
• If this weather station is located too close to other 433MHz
bandwidth-enabled devices, it may not work properly and
problems may occur in the form of erroneous transmitted data or
radio wave interference.
Other
• If you experience discomfort when using the wireless transmitter
from the outside sensor, stop using the device immediately.
• If any problem persists, contact your nearest ORAVA dealer.
Power Supplies
Battery power
The indoor (main) device can be powered by 3 1.5V AAA batteries.
Insert batteries into the device:
1 Open the back cover of the battery compartment and open the battery
compartment.
2 Insert 3 AAA 1.5V batteries into the battery compartment. Observe the
correct polarity + and - marked inside the compartment.
3 Close the battery compartment by inserting the cover.
Remark
When powering the device (main) from the batteries, the display turns off
after approx. 10 seconds. Press any button to turn the display back on.
Power from AC adapter
The indoor (main) device can also be powered from a 5V, 1.2A AC
adapter.

8EN
Supplying an external temperature sensor from batteries
The sensor is powered by 2 1.5V AAA batteries and has the following
features:
• waterproof (do not immerse it in water, resistant to rain only)
• a bright surface to avoid sun-warming
• wireless communication.
Insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor within three minutes of
activating the internal device. When the batteries are inserted, the
sensor starts to transmit a signal and the outside temperature will be
displayed on the internal device.
If this does not occur within 15 minutes, remove the batteries from the
external device and disconnect the internal device from the power
supply. Then first activate the indoor and then within 3 minutes the
outdoor device.
1 Open the outside temperature sensor cover and open the battery
compartment.
2 Insert 2 1.5V AAA batteries into the battery compartment of the outdoor
temperature sensor. Observe the correct polarity + and - marked inside
the compartment.
3 Close the battery compartment by inserting the cover.
4 Attach the outdoor temperature sensor to the selected location.
Place the sensor in an outdoor area with adequate ventilation, away
from sunlight (you can mount it on the wall with the eyelet on the back).
The operating range is 30 m from the unit (no obstacles only). We
recommend placing it as close as possible to the main device.
Notes
• Do not insert any other objects into the battery compartment.
• If you will not be using the unit for a long period of time, remove the
batteries to prevent battery leakage and corrosion.
• Observe the correct polarity + and -. If batteries are stored in the wrong
polarity, the batteries and the device itself may be damaged.
• Replace the batteries whenever the external display is no longer present
temperature.
