Case Strap/Lan Bag Installation
1. The case is used for storage and safety during
transportation. In order to secure the bag onto the case,
align the side with the NZXT logo with the right side panel
and the locking mechanism on the left side.
2. Slide the two locks from under the case and secure it.
3. The case can be carried using the handle or the strap
provided.
Rear Cage (Cable Management) Installation
1. The Lexa case comes with a rear cage for easy cable
management.
2. Insert the plastic rear cage into the slot at the bottom of the
rear panel.
3. Lock the cage in place by pushing down on the cage and
sliding it into the slot at the top of the rear panel.
4. For more security use four screws to secure the cage in the
back over the two side panels.
Power Supply Installation (If Without Power)
Please refer to the case interior infrastructure and secure the power
supply at the back of the case by using the screws provided.
NOTE: CPU, RAM and any peripheral installation are not
included in this manual. Please refer to your motherboard manual
for related mountin

instructions and troubleshootin

Slide the power supply from under the aluminum bar to match the 4
screws in the rear.
Secure the power supply by securing the four screws.
Side Door Lock
The Lexa provides a key and lock for the side panel for security
usage. In order to open the side panel, insert the key into the lock
and turn counter clock wise to open the lock. Turn the key in a clock-
wise direction to lock.

Pull the handle in towards the right in order to open the side panel.
Motherboard Installation
The Lexa supports the following type of motherboards: ATX, MINI
ATX, and MICRO ATX. The Index for the standoff holes are as
follows. (Imprinted on the motherboard tray)
A1~A9 ATX
F1~F9 FLEX ATX
M1~M9 MINI ATX
U1~U9 MICRO ATX
In order to install your motherboard go through the following steps:
1. Lay your case down sideways and remove the side panel so
you can see the drive cages and the standoff holes on the
motherboard tray.
2. Take your motherboard and match the tray to see where you
will need to install brass standoffs.
3. Remembering which standoff holes your motherboard
needs, continue on to screw the brass standoffs onto the
motherboard tray. ( Note: If you find that some holes are
unused, this is normal, this case is made to support for many
motherboard sizes )
4. Place your motherboard on top of the brass standoffs and
attach it to the tray using screws provided.

5. Connect the 20-pin ATX power connector from your power
supply (and AUX or +12V connectors if appropriate) to your
motherboard.
Power, Reset Switch Installation
Please refer first to your motherboard manual to find where your
power switch and reset connectors are located. The colors following
each instruction are the color of the wires.
1. Connect the Reset switch (labeled RESET SW) by
connecting to your motherboard RESET connector. Make
sure you always attach the white wire to ground.
(Blue/White)
2. Connect the Power Switch pin (labeled P LED +/-) to the
PWR connector on the motherboard. (Green/White)
3. Connect the HDD LED (labeled H.D.D LED) and HDD LED
connectors to the appropriate headers on your motherboard.
(Red/White, +/-). The hard drive activity is displayed by the
front led under the Power LED. When your hard drive is
active, the blue LED should flash.
All White Pin Connectors correspond to ground.
LCD Temperature Display
Installing Temperature Sensors & Powering the Meter
Begin by connecting the 4 pin Molex connector coming from the
meter to the Power supply.
Remove the clear plastic tube surrounding the probe before installing.
Keep the orange protective that is on the sensor attached.
In order to attach the SENSOR wires, use the tape provided to
attach them to the appropriate locations marked on the wires. The
SYS sensor can be attached to your VGA card or an area near the
rear fan. The HDD sensor is used for the hard drive, and the CPU
meter for the CPU. Please following precautions when attaching the

probe to measure the CPU, do not tape the sensor on the micro
chip area.
From Left to Right. CPU, Hard Drive, System Temperature Display
USB, Firewire & Audio Installation
USB Installation
1. The Lexa USB, Audio and Firewire connections are located
at the right side of your front panel.
2. Refer to your motherboard manual and match the labels on
the USB port connectors with your motherboard in order to
install. Each connection is labeled by IEEE 1394 ( Firewire ),
Audio, and USB for simple recognition.
Audio Port Installation
1. Refer to your motherboard manual and match the labels on
the audio port connectors with your motherboard in order to
install.
2. The green input is the speaker input and the pink input is the
microphone input, these inputs are located at the right side
of your front panel.

5.25” External Drive Bay Installation
1. Begin the installation process by opening the front panel. If
you do not yet have the accessory box removed, please also
open the side panel.
2. In the accessory box you will find three types of rails for
5.25” drives ( i.e. CD-ROM, etc ), floppy, and hard drives.
Attach the appropriate rail on both sides of your device. In
the case that the rail does not match your device, manually
secure the rail onto the devices with the extra screws
provided. If you find that the front panel is touching your
device, adjust the location of the steel pins on the rail to
mount the device deeper inside the case.
3. Remove the plastic cover either by pulling on the two
openings or pushing it out using a tool. ( i.e. The plastic
handle of an screw driver, etc )
4. Turn the aluminum plating in a back and forward rotation
until it is loose and remove it.
