Visible Fault Identifier
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The HiLite is a visible red laser source designed
totroubleshootfaultsonfiberopticcables. Attach
a 2.5mm ferrule to the connector interface and
pressthepower button toactivatethe laser. The
HiLite is a registered Class II Laser Product.
Therefore, always avoid directly viewing the
opticaloutput.
CAUTION: The use of controls or
adjustmentsorperformanceof procedures
otherthanthosespecifiedhereinmayresult
in hazardous laser light exposure.
MAINTENANCE
ToreplacetheAAAbatteryfirstremovethescrew
on the back side of the unit. Carefully pull the
unit apart. Place the battery in the unit ensuring that the + and - poles
correspond with the poles that are printed in the compartment. Replace
the cover and tighten screw. Except for battery replacement, there are no
user serviceable parts or adjustments.
All service should be performed at the factory. The optical output should
be cleaned regularly with an optical grade cleaner.
WARRANTY
All Noyes products are warranted against defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of one year from date of delivery. If faulty
conditions occur, please notify Noyes Fiber Systems at once for correct
return authorization and shipping instructions.
