1. Loosely bolt Lower Frame (1) & 2 Press Arm Braces R&L (7) to Rear Base (2) using bolting shown.

2. Bolt Foot Plate (8) and Leg Extension (11) to Lower Frame using bolting shown.

3. Loosely bolt Main Upright (3) to Lower Frame using 2 Lower Plates R&L (4) and bolting shown.

4. Bolt Press Arm (6) to Main Upright & Press Arm Braces R&L using bolting shown.

5. Tighten all bolts which were previously left loose.

6. Install 2 - 1" x 2" Grips (AN) where shown. Grips slide on easiest when a solution of soapy water is

first applied. This will dry in a short while and causes no damage to the machine. Do NOT use any

other lubricant.

7. Remove 2 - 5/8" Locknuts from the shoulder bolts in the Press Arm, position the 2 - Press Arm

Pulley Brackets R&L (13) over the shoulder bolts as shown and replace the 5/8" Locknuts. Do not

over tighten the Locknuts.

8. Loosely bolt Top Plate Assy (5) to Main Upright using bolting shown.

Install Item 6 with 5/8" x 3-1/4" lg

tubes on the bottom side.

9. Place Weight Stack Supports (26) over holes in Rear Base,

place Rubber Cushions (AI) over holes in Weight Stack

Support and slide the 2 - Guide Rods (9) through them into

Rear Base.NOTE: For improved performance, we recommend

you apply a silicone lubricant to the guide rods prior to their

installation.

10. By pulling the Guide Rods towards you, you can slide the

fourteen Weight Stack Plates (31) on to the Guide Rods as

shown.

11. Slide the Selector Rod (23) onto the Weight Stack Plates.

12. Slide the Shaft Collars (AK) and the Guide Rod Retainers

(AJ) over the Guide Rods as shown. Position the Guide Rods

in the Top Plate Assy. Move the Shaft Collars & Guide Rod

Retainers up the Guide Rods until the flange of the Guide

Rod Retainers rest against the Top Plate Assemble. Tighten

the set screw in the Shaft Collars. Tighten the bolts holding

the Top Plate Assy to the Main Upright.

13. Loosely bolt Weight Stack Shroud (14) & Wt Stack Front

Shroud R&L (25) to Rear Base using bolting shown. Shrouds

(25) must be installed on the outside of Shroud (14).

14. Install Edge Trim (AH) on Weight Stack Shroud & Wt

Stack Front Shrouds. Tighten bolts previously left loose.

15. Install 1-1/2" Plastic Caps (AE) & 2" Plastic Caps (AF) where

shown.

NOTE: Install all Pulleys (AO & AP) with the

shown spacers & bolting.

16. Start installation of the Stack Cable (AU)

by partially threading the hollow bolt into

the Selector Rod. Install the Pulley

above the Selector Rod & loop the Stack

Cable over it. Loosely install the next 3

inline Pulleys & 2 Pulley Cable

Retainers (19) with the Stack Cable

looped over the middle Pulley. Create a

hanging loop by hanging the Stack Cable

over the fixed pulley and loosely install the

last Pulley along with 2 Floating Pulley

Brackets (18). Loosely install Pulley

Bracket (17) & Pulley Bracket Cable

Guide (20) as shown on the end of the

Stack Cable.

17. Thread 2 Pulley Guide Cables (AZ)

through the loops on the Pulley Bracket

Cable Guide (20) & attach to the Top

Plate Assy using shown spacer and

bolting.

18. Installation of the Lat Cable

(AV) is detailed only for one

side & is typical for both

sides. Complete installation

of Lat Cable to one side of

the Main Upright using a

4-1/4" Pulley (AP), Main

Upright Pulley Bracket (16)

& shown bolting. Loop Lat

Cable under the Pulley

Cable Retainer (19), and

over outside pulley. Loop

Lat Cable under the Top

Plate Assy. On the

opposite side, perform the

above instructions in reverse

order. Tighten the bolt

holding the 3 inline

Pulleys.

19. Install a 3-1/2" Pulley & 2

Pulley Brackets (17) at the

bottom of the loop in the Lat

Cable using the shown

bolting. 17

NOTE: Install all Pulleys (AO & AP) with the shown spacers & bolting.

20. Start installation of the Press Arm Cable (AX) by looping it, at its middle, over a Pulley & bolting it to

previously installed pulley brackets on the end of Stack Cable. Installation of Press Arm Cable is

detailed for one side & is typical for both sides. Loosely bolt 2 Pulleys, 2 Pulley Cable Retainers (19)

& a Pulley Spacer 2" (21) to Lower Plates R&L. Loop Press Arm Cable under the Pulley Cable

Retainer and over pulley. Loop Press Arm Cable over a Pulley, along with a Pulley Cable Retainer,

attach to Press Arm. Loop Press Arm Cable over a 4-1/4" Pulley (AP) install it in Press Arm Pulley

Bracket R&L along with a Pulley Spacer 2" (21). On the opposite side, repeat the above instructions.

21. Start installation of Leg Extension Cables (AW) at Leg Extension and continue in order until the last

connection at two previously installed Pulley Brackets on Lat Cable. Install Cable Retainer (32), a

3/8" thk Spacer (AA) & a 1/2" thk Spacer (AB) with the fourth Pulley.

22. Complete installation of Pulley Guard Cables (AZ) by removing a 1/2" Jam Nut from each hollow bolt

on cable end, inserting bolts through hole in lugs on Lower Plates R&L & reinstalling 1/2" Jam Nut.

Remove cables slackness by adjusting the 1/2" Jam Nuts & tightening them against the lugs.

23. Install 2 - 2" Plastic Caps (AF) where shown.

24. Complete installation of

Cables by threading the end of

the Stack Cable (AU) into the

Selector Rod (23) until

slackness in the cables is

removed. Tighten the jam nut

against the Selector Rod.

Periodic cable tightening may be

required.

25. Bolt the Knee Roller Support (12) to the Main Upright (3) using bolting shown.

26. Bolt the Back Pad (28) to the Main Upright using bolting shown.

27. Bolt the Seat Pad (29) to the Seat Support (10) bolting shown. Install 2 - 1" x 2" Plastic Caps (AD).

Insert Seat Support into the Lower Frame where shown. Vertically locate the Seat Support and hold

in position with the Clamping Pin located on the opposite side.

28. Insert the Leg Extension Roller Tube (15) into the Leg Extension where shown and install 2- Foam

Rollers (30) along with 2 - Foam Roller Caps (AG).

29. Install remaining four Foam Rollers and four Foam Roller Caps where shown.

30. Attach four Cable Handle Nylon (22) to the snap hooks on the ends of Press Arm Cable and Lat

Cable.

NOTE: Make certain that all cables have been properly positioned on/around pulleys before use

and that all nuts have been tightened.

Cables are a consumable and must be treated as such. As a minimum, an annual inspection must

be performed on all cable ends and full lengths. A cable must be replaced immediately if broken

exposed wires and/or a break in cable coating are found.

warranty against broken welds and manufacturer defects on all prod-

ucts. Simply return the defective part, insured and prepaid to Northern

Lights and we will replace it at no charge.

assembly, normal wear and tear or other conditions, which are beyond

our control.

Northern Lights with respect to any Northern Lights product or the
