FOREWORD
Dear Sir/Madam,
You have chosen a STERILOR Cu/Ag, an automatic water treatment system using copper/silver
ionisation.
We would like to thank you for the confidence that you have placed in us.
Please keep this user guide in a safe place.
It will long be your guide for optimised installation
and operation of all of the equipment for your new device.
Read it carefully before use in order to fully benefit from all of its functions.
By using STERILOR Cu/Ag with a pH that is well regulated around 7.2, your pool's water will be
perfectly disinfected.
You can adjust the pH manually or automatically,
by installing a STERILOR pH.

1. GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
For correct operation of the device:
Read this instruction manual carefully and completely before using your STERILOR Cu/Ag. Do
not open the device, only a skilled technician is authorised to do so.
Check the safety of the device: Make sure that the voltage supplied by your mains power
supply complies with the characteristics repeated in Paragraph 9.
The STERILOR Cu/Ag device must operate at the same time as the filtration system, because
it is essential for the water to flow through the Cu/Ag ionisation cell.
Definition of the synoptics used in these instructions:
Important information
Sensitive point, recommendation to be followed to avoid any equipment
deterioration or operating problem
Electrical risks, any operations relating to connections or tests may only be carried
out by authorised persons.

2. PRESENTATION
2.1 General description
The STERILOR Cu/Ag treats the
water in your pool by maintaining a
concentration of copper and silver by
means of ionisation.
2.1.1 Operation of the Cu/Ag part
The automatic STERILOR Cu/Ag
system operates
based on the
principle of ionisation using a Cu/Ag
alloy electrode.
Thanks to its microprocessor, the
STERILOR Cu/Ag controls the
transmission of a low voltage electric
current towards an ionisation cell
placed between the pump and the
filter.
This cell contains several electrodes
made of a perfect Cu/Ag alloy in
accordance with STERILOR
specifications
.
The ionisation process releases copper
ions (Cu++) and silver ions (Ag+) into
the water. In water, these ions
combine directly to form molecules
with algaecide, flocculant and
disinfectant properties.
The advantages of STERILOR Cu/Ag:
•Automatic water treatment
•Sterilised and sterilising water
•A change of polarity in the production
current which helps to regulate electrode
wear.
•Backlit digital display of the production
current, device operating times and
countdown of the change of polarity time.
2.1.2 Supply
This device is supplied with all equipment
necessary for its installation and use. This
kit includes:
A control box with a pre-wired power
supply cable.
An ionisation cell with its Cu/Ag
electrode and cable equipped with quick
connectors.
+ A Cu/pH colorimetric analysis kit

3. INSTALLATION
The installation of STERILOR Cu/Ag on a swimming pool treated beforehand with PHMB
(polyhexamethylene biguanide) requires the pool to be completely emptied and the filter to be
rinsed thoroughly. It is also advisable to replace the sand.

3.1.2 Fitting
The electronic box must be installed in
the technical room protected from
sunlight, bad weather and close to the
ionisation cell (2.5 m cable).
The controls of the box (switch,
electrode connection and fuse holder)
must remain accessible.
Necessary equipment:
Drill and 6 mm bit suitable for the
support, plugs
Fix the box securely against a wall via
the 4 fixing holes, using the screws
and plugs supplied =.plastic expansion
plugs (to be adapted to the support if
necessary).
Phillips screwdriver.

3.1.3 Electric connections
The system operates in parallel with
the filtration pump.
It is essential for it to operate at the
same time as the filtration system. A
box continuously connected to a
separate socket will annul the
guarantee.
Before carrying out any
electrical work on the box, this
connection to the filtration pump
requires the STERILOR Cu/Ag power
supply to be cut off at the filtration
box.
The connection is therefore
made on the filtration pump
contactors in the existing filtration
box, according to the following
