1. DESCRIPTION / PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Le boîtier optique Blackbox d’épissurage et d’extraction a été conçu pour assurer la protection des
épissuresdecâblesoptiquesenterrés,souterrainsetaériens.Leboîtierexisteenversionpressurisable.
Unjointtoriqueplacéentrelecoffretetlecapotassurel’étanchéitéduboîtier.
Doté de 4 entrées de câble opérateur et 4 sorties de câble abonné, d’une double cassette
d’épissurage et d’une cassette de lovage pour les fibres client, le boitier a été conçu pour recevoir
jusqu’à72épissures.
The Blackboxsplicingandextractionunithasbeendesignedtoprotectburied,underground,
andoverhead cable splices. The unit can bepressurizable.
A seal fitted between the cover and the closure ensures the tightness of the unit.
The unit includes 2 splice trays, 1 coiling tray for customer fibres and can contain up to 72
splices. Four cable entries for operator cables and 4 outputs for subscriber cables are
available.

A coiling tray for unconnected subscriber cable fibres.
Rep.4- 4grenouillères de fermeture du couvercle. /4 draw latches for cover locking.
Rep.5- 4 sortiesde câbles abonné avec écrouetjoint d’étanchéité.

6.3 Préparation du câble / Cable preparation
PIQUAGE EN ÉPI / BUTT MIDSPAN
1. Dénuderle câble sur 1600mm./ Unstrip 1600mm of cable.
2. Couper les mèches aramides si présentes./ Cut the aramid yarns if necessary.
3. Couperleporteursurunelongueurd’environ80mmetdénudersur25mmpourlepassagesousl’étrier.
Cut the strength member on a length of approx. 80mm and unstrip on approx. 25mm for
lockingundertheclamp.
PIQUAGE DROIT / STRAIGHT MIDSPAN
1. Arrimerchaque extrémité decâble sur lecapot à l’aide d’uncollier plastique (1).
Clamp each cable end onto the rear cover using a plastic tie (1).
2. Dénuderla gaine du câble pourréaliserunefenêtre d’environ 80 à 100mm.
Remove the sheath from the cable to leave an opening of approx. 80 to 100mm.
3. Couper les mèches aramides si présentes. /Cut the aramid yarns if necessary.
4. Extrairelesmicro-modulessur 1600mm. / Pull out 1600mm of micro-modules.
