÷ Keep the XJ-3000C at least 3 feet away from computers, televisions, and sensitive
electrical equipment.
÷ If the unit it used in a bedroom, don't place it on a nightstand, near your head as you would
not want your head in the pathway of dirty air being drawn into the purifier.

AntioBacteria preofilter
The first stage (the blue filter) of the three-stage cartridge. Captures the largest particles,
increasing the efficiency and longevity of the Carbon and HEPA filters.
Activated Carbon FiJter
Specializes in capturing chemicals, gases, odors and pollutants such as tobacco smoke,
which the HEPA filter cannot capture.
HEPA Filter
Removes 99.97% of particles (.3 microns in size) that pass through the filter, preventing them
from becoming recirculated into the air. Largely considered the most effective type of small
particle air filter. It captures a high volume of floating dust and other particles, including many
of the ionized particles that would otherwise just stick to your walls if a typical ionizer were
used. Unlike metal collection plates, they don't require complicated weekly cleaning rituals.
Germicidal UV Light
The UV (ultraviolet) bulb is located safely behind the filters, where it kills germs trapped in
the HEPA filter and in the air flowing through the unit. UV light destroys a large variety of
microbial contaminates, such as viruses, germs, bacteria and fungi (including mold). UV
light has been used for years by the medical field (including hospitals) to sanitize rooms and
equipment, in order to prevent the spread of disease. Recommended by the Centers for
Disease Control for its ability to destroy biological pollutants.
Air Ionizer
Negative ionization electostatically charges molecules which transfers their charge to other
particles on contact. Charged particles clump with oppositely charged particles making them
large and heavy enough to either be trapped in a filter or too heavy to remain suspended
in the air. This is due to the fact that ions can circulate throughout a room. Negative ion
circulation is enhanced as a result of the fan.
Programmable Ozone Generator ($anitizer Option}
The ozone generator compliments the activated carbon filter in removing odors. It also has
sanitizing properties. In the XJ-3000C, the ozone can be completely disabled if it is not
needed or wanted ,while still allowing the ionizer and filters to run at full power. Most other air
purifiers that produce ozone produce it anytime the purifier is on.
÷ Under most circumstances you can leave the ozone generator in the off position. (Ozone's
ability to break down organic compounds makes it nature's cleaning agent. You can
actually see the effect ozone has on organic material. A common example: rubber bands
exposed to the ozone that occurs in nature turn brittle over time. Like any strong cleaner,
ozone should be used in moderation.)
