2.1. Identification of the machine

2.2. Normal use of the furnace
The propane furnace H1, H2 and H4 has been designed to heat up all kind of material . The
temperature the ignition chamber reaches is 1300º C.
It is sold completely assembled and tested in order to avoid any manufacturing default, that is why the
frontal cover is a bit blackened when delivered.
If an accident occursdue to a negligent use on the worker’s side for not following the safety
instructions stated in this book, PRADA NARGESA S.L will not accept any reponsibility.
2.3. Contra-indications for its usage and other hazards.
- All uses not intended for heating of material deformation.
- Do not use gases other than propane.
- Do not substitute any of the regulators the oven is equipped with.
- Check the thermocouple weekly.
- Take precautions to avoid burns in the hands while lighting up the furnace or taking hot bars.
- Regularly check the connections if there is any gas leak.
- Check the hose expiration date annually (replace in this case).
- Never place the gas container under the oven without good isolation (heat hazard).
2.4. Noise caused by the furnace
In case of this furnace the noise caused is due to the propane ignition which is its normal noise.

2.5. Vibrations
Furnaces H2 and H4cannot produce any kind of vibration.
2.6. Operative’s natural working place.
The operative must be located as far as possible from the ignition point.
2.7. Description of the machine
It is a small furnace for the forge of metal bars, it has got a metal cover which is as well covered by
refractory material that is composed by a ceramic component with high heat resistant properties, this
will prevent from heating up the outer surfaces in the three sides that are not used for the entrance of
material.
2.8 . Installation and operative description.
The furnace must be located in a well ventilated room to avoid from a gas cummulation in case of a fault
in the safety valve. If it is possible a fume extraction hood should be installed in the room.
Do not place neither any kind of flammable product, nor easy flammabe stuff like wood, plastic etc. near
the furnace.
The furnace should be connected directly to the propane container, making sure the joint proves to be
perfectly tight. Do not cancel any of the furnace components, anti-return valve and gas path regulator.
This furnace heats up thanks to the burners located in the upper part of it by means of a Venturi system.
These burners can work independently by closing the gas path that each burners has.
Burners are connected to two cupper pipes that give out propane gas by the jets, it flow is regulated by
two crosscurrent valves in the burners.
The jets must be always clean since that must be a cause of malfunction.
The connection accessories are suitable for this use and they are according to the standard UNI
regulations for the afore mentioned materials. Any replacement must be done using elements of the
same technical features.

The cupper pipes in the outer part of the furnace are connected by T joints and “elbows” followed by a
special hose for gas that is connected to the gas container. The plastic hose is equipped with a control
valve to avoid the flame return.
The burners can be used independently: In case of using only one of them it is advisable to use the one
on the left.
3. Safe use of the furnace.
The furnace is equipped with several safety devices:
- Pressure reducer device in the point of connection between the gas container and the supply
line.
- Control valve to prevent the flame return by the supply line.
- One valve connected to the Thermo couple to close tha gas supply in case of accidental
opening of the valves or in case the burners has stopped due to any ignition problem.
The frontal part of the furnace has been made of a metal sheet that works as a protection
screen. The entrance of the furnace must be closed while it is not being used.
In order to use the furnace, the users must compulsorily wear a personal protection kit
including:
- Safety shoes.
- Prtotection gloves.
- Safety wear.
- Saftey googles.
4. How to start up and use the furnace.
- Once the supply hose is connected, open the gas container regulator “click-on.”
- Turn one of the path keys of one of the burners.
- Keep the blue button of the safety key pressed for the gas to come out by the burner.
- Either insert a match in the inner ceramic chamber of the furnace, being careful with the
starting ignition because it causes an instant deflagration due to the gas cummulation in the
inner part of the furnace or then keep on pressing the blue button of the safety valve for half a
minute until it the burner keeps lit when you release it.
- If the burner stops when you release it, it is because the thermo couple at the middle of the
furnace chamber has not reached the proper temperature to keep the gas path and it
automatically closes the burner by activating its safetu function. If it occurs you should insert
the tip of the thermo couple a bit more inside the chamber without getting to have direct contact
with the flame avoiding it from having an excess of temperature and get damaged.
- Once we have one of the burners performing , we could open the path keys of the other
burners in order to inflame them in case we need it.
- With the blue regulator we can graduate the power of thr burners.
- In order to stop the burner, just close the path key of it and then close the “click-on” of the
propane gas container.
- Afterwards remove the gas container regulator as a precaution.
The blue regulator that the furnace has must not be removed because it will cause the
malfunctioning of it.
