SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Warning: Read the manual before operang the gasoline ller. Failure to follow the warnings and instrucons may result in re and/or
serious injury. Aer reading the manual, store it in a safe place for future reference.
Training
• Read the instrucons carefully. Familiarize yourself with the controls and the proper use of the equipment.
• Never allow children or persons unfamiliar with these instrucons to use the machine.
• Never operate this machine while people, especially children, or pets are nearby.
• Keep in mind that the operator is responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to other people or their property.
Preparaon
• While working, always wear sturdy footwear and long trousers. Do not operate the equipment when barefoot or wearing open sandals.
• Thoroughly inspect the area where the equipment is to be used and remove all objects which can be thrown up by the machine.
• Replace faulty exhaust muers.
• Before operang the machine, always visually inspect to check whether any part is worn or damaged. Replace worn or damaged parts and bolts in sets.
• Ensure that the safety covers (fan cover, recoil starter cover) are in place.
Operaon
• Do not operate the engine in a conned space where carbon monoxide gas can quickly build up to dangerous levels.
• Operate the machine only in daylight or in sucient arcial light.
• Always be sure of your foong on slopes.
• Walk, never run while operang the machine.
• Exercise extreme cauon when changing direcon on slopes.
• Do not work on excessively steep slopes.
• Use extreme cauon when reversing or pulling the machine towards you.
• Do not change the engine governor sengs or overspeed the engine.
• Start the engine carefully according to the instrucons and with your feet at a safe distance from the moving parts of the tool.
• Do not put hands or feet near or under moving parts.
• Never pick up or carry the machine while the engine is running.
• Stop the engine before leaving the machine and before refuelling.
• Reduce the throle seng during engine shut down and, if the engine is provided with a shut-o valve, turn the fuel o at the conclusion of working.
• Keep a rm grip on the handlebars, they may li during clutch engagement.
• Know how to stop the engine and nes quickly in case of emergency. Understand the funcon of all controls.
• Ensure that the blades and the mud fender are properly placed and securely ghtened before using the machine.
Maintenance and storage
• Keep all nuts, bolts and screws ght to ensure the equipment is in safe working condion.
• Never store the equipment with gasoline in the tank inside a building where ammable gas can reach the unit and ignite.

Warning: Gasoline is highly ammable
• Store fuel in containers specically designed for this purpose.
• Refuel outdoors only and do not smoke while refuelling.
• Add fuel before starng the engine. Never remove the cap of the fuel tank or add petrol
while the engine is running or when the engine is hot.
• If gasoline is spilled, do not aempt to start the engine. Move the machine away from the
area of spillage and avoid creang any source of ignion unl vapours have dissipated.
• Replace all fuel tank and container caps securely.

• Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclosure.
• To reduce the re hazard, keep the engine, exhaust muer, baery compartment and petrol storage area free of vegetave material and excessive grease.
• Replace worn or damaged parts to ensure safety.
•If the fuel tank has to be drained, this must be done outdoors.
• Keep the ller in good operang condion. Operang the ller when it is in poor condion could result in serious injury.
• Ensure that all safety devices are in good working order and that warning labels are in place.
INTENDED USE
• The ller is suitable for the culvaon of sandy and clay soil as well as for culvang paddy elds with the depth of the water surface to the hard layer being
not more than 250mm.
• For weedy and deep plots, remove the weeds before using the ller to culvate the land.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS (SEE APPENDIX, PAGES 69-76)

Assembly steps
Remove all the items from the box, remove the plastic bag and take the following steps to assemble the machine.
Each of the following numbers corresponds to the respective picture found at the appendix (see pages 69-76).
1) Install the wheels.
2) Install the depth adjuster.
3) Adjust the safety element on the depth adjuster.
4) Remove the screws from the belt cover.
5) Remove the belt cover.
6) Remove the screws from the belt guide.
7) Remove the belt guide.
8) Remove the screws from the protecve plate of the belt guide and remove the plate.
9) Remove the screws from the gearbox cover.
10) Remove the safety element from the gear sha.
11) Install the gear lever together with the locker bar.
12) Reinstall the safety element on the gearbox lever.
13) Secure the gear lever in place.
14) Adjust the screws on the gearbox.
15) Unscrew the locker bar screw and install the plate.
16) Adjust the belt guide plate and ghten the screws.
17) Adjust the belt guide.
18) Tighten the screws of the belt guide.
19) Adjust the two fenders with screws and nuts.
20) Tighten the screws and nuts on the fenders securely.
21) +22) Adjust the connecon plate on the fenders.
23) Tighten the screws on the connecon plate.
24) Remove the screws from the belt guide plate.
25) Adjust the protecve cover of the guide.
26) Tighten the screws on the cover.
Cauon! Make sure that the fenders, the connecon plates and the protecve cover are correctly and securely ed before using the machine.

27) Adjust the U-shaped handle onto the tool sha and secure it in place with the corresponding screw.
28) Tighten the screw rmly.
29) Adjust the cover over the sha and U-shaped handle.
30) +31) Tighten the screws of the cover rmly.
32) Remove the safety element from the front wheel.
33) +34) Remove the nut and screws.
35) Install the front wheel with the appropriate screws and nuts.
36) Tighten the screws and install the safety element.
37) +38) Adjust the safety element.
39) Remove the rear wheels.
40) Remove the safety element that adjusts the blades.
41) Adjust the blades correctly.
42) +43) Insert the safety element.
44) Clamp the switch and clutch cables with plasc straps.
45) +46) Adjust the posion of the cables.
PRE-OPERATION CHECK
Engine oil (Fig. 4, 5, 6)
Cauon: Running the engine with low oil level will cause serious engine damage.
• Remove the oil ller cap and wipe the dipsck clean.
• Insert the dipsck into the oil ller neck, but do not screw it in.
• If the oil level is low, ll to the top of the oil ller neck with the recommended oil.
•Use high-detergent, 4-stroke engine oil.
• Cauon: Using non-detergent oil or 2-stroke engine oil could shorten the engine’s service life.
• SAE 10w-30 is recommended for general, all temperature use. Other viscosies shown in the following
gure (Fig. 4) might be used when the average temperature in your area is within the indicated range.

Transmission gear oil (Fig. 7)
• Place the ller on a level surface and remove the oil ller cap.
• The oil should be level with the lower edge of the oil ller hole.
• Add high quality engine oil if the level is low.

Fuel (Fig. 9)
• Never use an oil/gasoline mixture or dirty gasoline. Avoid geng dirt, dust or water in the fuel tank.
• Refuel in a well-venlated area with the engine stopped. Do not smoke and keep the engine at a safe distance from ames and sparks which can ignite the
fuel.
• Do not overll the fuel tank (there should be no fuel in the ller neck). Aer refuelling make sure the tank cap is closed properly and securely.
• Be careful not to spill fuel when refuelling. Spilled fuel or fuel vapour may ignite. If any fuel is spilled, make sure the area is dry before starng the engine.
• Avoid repeated or prolonged contact of fuel with skin or breathing of vapour.
Warning: Gasoline is extremely ammable and is explosive under certain condions.

STARTING THE ENGINE (FIG. 10-15)
Cauon: Ensure that the clutch is disengaged and that the shi lever is in the neutral posion to prevent sudden uncontrolled movement when the engine
starts. The clutch is engaged by pulling in the clutch lever and disengaged by releasing the lever.
1) Turn the fuel valve to the ON posion, check whether it is ghtened. (Fig. 10)
2) Close the choke lever. (Fig. 11)
Note: Do not use the choke if the engine is warm or the air temperature is high.
3) Turn the engine switch to the ON posion. (Fig. 12)
4) Move the throle lever slightly to the le. (Fig. 13)
5) Pull the starter grip lightly unl resistance is felt and then pull it briskly. (Fig. 14)
Cauon: Do not allow the starter grip to snap back against the engine. Return it gently to prevent damage to the starter.
6) As the engine warms up, gradually open the choke. (Fig. 15)

OPERATION
Cauon: Before adjusng the handlebar, place the ller on rm level ground to prevent the handle
from collapsing accidentally.
Handlebar height adjustment (Fig. 16)
• To adjust the handlebar height, loosen the adjuster, select the appropriate place and ghten the
adjuster.

Tilling depth adjustment (Fig. 17)
• Install the hitch aachment in the hitch box with a hitch pin.
• Adjust the lling depth by removing the pin, loosening the bolt securing the drag bar and sliding the
drag bar up or down as necessary.

Cauon: Reduce engine rpm before operang the main clutch.
Clutch operaon (Fig. 18)
• The clutch engages and disengages the power from the engine to the transmission.
• When the clutch lever is squeezed the clutch is engaged and power is transmied. Squeeze the lever,
the tool will be rotated.
• When the lever is released, the clutch is disengaged and power is not transmied, release the clutch
lever, the tool will be stopped.

Gear selecon (Fig. 19)
The machine has 3 gears: F (forward), R (reverse) and N (neutral).
To shi gears:
• Return the throle lever to the extreme right.
• Release the clutch lever to disengage the clutch.
• Move the gear shi lever to the desired gear posion.
Note: If the shi lever will not engage the desired gear, squeeze the clutch lever and move the ller
slightly to reposion the gears.
• Squeeze the clutch lever to engage the clutch.

Front wheel (Fig. 20)
• Use a front wheel to move the ller on the road.
• Li the handlebars up and let the front wheel touch the ground.
• When the ller is used in the eld, move the wheel up by replacing the lock pin.

Normal operang angle (Fig. 21)
• Lower the handle slightly so that the front of the machine is raised about 6-8°.
• To use the ller opmally, try to hold the machine at the angle shown while you are lling the ground.

Tips for proper use
• Adjust the handlebar height to a comfortable posion (waist height for normal lling).
• Should the machine jerk forward while lling, press down the handlebars, if the machine will not move forward, move the handlebars from side to side.
• In order to properly and easily turn the machine during operaon, lower the handlebars to bring the center of gravity towards the rear and then make the
turn.
STOPPING THE ENGINE (FIG. 22-26)
In an emergency (Fig. 22)
1) Turn the engine switch to the OFF posion.
In normal use (Fig. 23-26)
1) Release the clutch lever to the DISENGAGED posion and shi lever to the neutral posion. (Fig. 23)
2) Move the throle lever fully to the right. (Fig. 24)
3) Turn the engine switch to the OFF posion. (Fig. 25)
4) Turn the fuel valve to the OFF posion. (Fig. 26)

In order to keep the unit in good condion, it must be checked and maintained on a regular basis. Follow the table below.

Changing oil (Fig. 27)
Drain the oil while the engine is sll warm to assure rapid and complete draining.
• Remove the oil ller cap and drain the oil.
• Rell with the recommended oil and check the level.
• Wash your hands with soap and water aer handling used oil.

Note: Dispose of used motor oil in an environmentally friendly manner. We suggest you drain used
oil into sealed containers and take them to your local service for reclamaon. Do not throw the
sealed container in the trash or pour used oil on the ground.
Air lter cleaning
• Remove the wing nut and the air cleaner cover. Remove the elements and separate them. Carefully check both elements for holes or tears and replace if
damaged.
•Foam element: Clean in warm soapy water, rinse and allow to dry thoroughly or clean in high ashpoint solvent and allow to dry. Dip the element in clean
engine oil and squeeze out all the excess. The engine will smoke during inial start-up if too much oil is le in the foam.
•Paper element: Tap the element lightly several mes on a hard surface to remove excess dirt or blow compressed air through the lter from the inside out.
Never try to brush the dirt o.
Warning: Never use gasoline or low ash point solvents for cleaning the air cleaner element, otherwise, a re or explosion could result.
Cauon: Never run the engine without the air cleaner. Rapid engine wear will be the result.
Fuel lter (Fig. 28)
• Turn the fuel valve to the OFF posion and remove the fuel lter and the O-ring.
• Wash the removed parts in solvent, dry them thoroughly and reinstall them securely.
• Turn the fuel valve ON and check for leaks.

Spark plug
Recommended spark plug: TORCH F7RTC
To ensure proper engine operaon, the spark plug must be properly gapped and free of deposits.
• Remove the spark plug cap.
• Visually inspect the spark plug. Discard it if the insulator is cracked or chipped.
• Measure the plug gap with a feeler gauge. The gap should be 0.7-0.8mm (0.028-0.031 in), correct as necessary by bending the side electrode.
• Insert the spark plug by hand at rst and then use a wrench to ghten it as much as necessary.
Warning: If the engine has been running the muer will be very hot. Be careful not to touch the muer.
Cauon: The spark plug must be securely ghtened. An improperly ghtened plug can become very hot and possibly damage the engine. Never use a worn
or damaged spark plug.
Clutch cable adjustment (Fig. 29)
Measure the free play at the lever p.
Free play: 3-8mm (0.1 - 0.3 inches)
• If the free play is incorrect, loosen the lock nut and turn the adjusng bolt in or out as required.
• Aer adjustment, ghten the lock nut securely. Then start the engine and check for proper clutch
lever operaon.

Throle cable adjustment (Fig. 30)
Measure the free play at the lever p.
Free play: 5-10mm (0.2 - 0.4 inches)
• If the free play is incorrect, loosen the lock nut and turn the adjusng nut in or out as required.

Belt tension adjustment (Fig. 31, 32)
• Adjust the clutch lever free play.
• The standard belt tension is 60-65mm (2.4-2.6 in) at the tension roller with the clutch engaged
(clutch lever is squeezed).
• To adjust, loosen the four engine mounng bolts and the engine stay ghtening bolt and move
the engine forward or reverse to get proper tension of the belt.
Note: Aer adjusng the tension, make sure that the outside face of the drive pulley is aligned with
the outside face of the driven pulley by using a straight gauge.
