APPEARANCE
Keyboard consists of 4 keys: «IR», «UV», «WM», «MG» (model D-45CU),
«(20s)AS»(model D-45U). When function of the key work, indicator on the key
is lighting. Several functions can work simultaneously. Information of current
working function is saving in the controller and will not be loosed, when power
will off.
DETECTOR’S FUNCTIONS
1. Ultraviolet detection.
This function helps see glow of bank-paper under ultraviolet light. For turn
on this function please press key «UV». Place the bank note at the screening
zone.
2. Magnetic (MG) detection (only in D-45CU).
This function helps to detect magnetic marks on notes. For turn on this
function please press key «MG». Rub by the magnetic zone of bank note on
the magnetic sensor. If there is MG-mark at that place and bank note is
authentic, then detector will beep.

3. Infrared(IR) detection.
This function helps to detect infrared marks. For turn on this function please
press key «IR». Place the bank note within the screening zone. Screen of
detector will turn on automatically.
Parts of bank note, which drawn with infrared paints will screen only. Other
parts of bank note will screen white.
4. Water marks (WM) detection.
This function needed to detect water marks on notes. For turn on this
function please press key «WM», white light from LEDs will on. Place the
note to the work place and find out water marks.
5. Safe mode. Key «(20s)AS».
If IR, UV or WM function is working, then screen of detector automatically
turn on when you put bank note in to the detector’s work place. Screen of
detector automatically turn off in 5 second after removing bank note. In model
D-45U this period can be set to 20 second by pressing button «(20s)AS».
PREPARE TO WORK
1. Connect adaptor with device.
2. Connect adaptor with socket.
3. Turn on switch on the back panel .
4. Select wished function
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. To avoid a shock hazard, observe the safety rules of electrical work..
2. Always use the power adapter supplied with the detector.
3. If the device is not in use for a long time, the power switch should be set to
the "OFF" position.
4. If the device was exposed to cold for an extended period of time, it is
necessary to maintain it under the room temperature for at least two hours

before starting operating.
5. When removing the power cable, handle it by the cable plug to avoid the
cable damage.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
The device should be stored in the manufacturer's package in heated
storehouses under the temperature from +5 C to +40 C and relative air
humidity not exceeding 80% at +25 C.
The device may be transported in the manufacturer's package (for not more
than 7 days) by truck or railway transport in containers or house cars or by air
transport in the pressured compartments under the temperature from 30 C to
+50 C, relative air humidity not exceeding 98% at +25°C and pressure from 84
to 107 kPa (630
to 800 mm Hg).

TROUBLESHOOTING
The screen is dark when the power is turned on:
Check if you turn on IR function.
Check the proper connection of the adapter to the device and
presence of line voltage.
Make sure to use the adapter supplied by the manufacturer.
