mandatorybutsuggested.Gooverallthestepsatleastoncebeforestartingthebuild.
2.1 - Arm & Motor Mount Sub-Assembly
ThefollowingistheprocedurefortheassemblyofoneMotorMountbut,notethatthissameassemblyshouldbe
donefourtimesforthefourdifferentarmsontheHQuad500.Consideringthattheclampsareasymmetric,youmust
takecaretopositionthemcorrectly.

1. Mounttheclampsonthebottommotormountusingfour440x¼”Hexscrews.Youmustusethetwo
threadedholesoftheclamptodoso.Repeatthesamestepforthetopmotormountaswell.

2. TheinstallationofyourBrushlessMotoriseasyatthisstage.Placethemotoronthetopmotormount
assemblyandalignthewiressothattheygoonthesideoftheclampleavingspaceforthetube.Insertthe
M3x5mmscrewstosecurethemotortothemount.(Thesescrewsareprovidedformostbrandmotorsbut
wesuggesttodoublecheckyourmotorspecificationspriortousingtheprovidedM3screws)

3. Withthebottommountassemblyflatonthetable,placethecarbonfibertubeontheclampsandalignthe
endofthetubeflushtotheclamp.

4. Addthetopmotormountassemblyoverthetubeandinserttwo440x¾”Hexscrewstoholdthetwo
halvestogether.Thenfliptheassemblyandinserttheothertwo440x¾”Hexscrewsandtightenthem.

5. Makesurethespacingbetweenthetwoclamphalvesremainsaboutthesameandthetubesitsflushtothe
outsideoftheclamp.

2.2 - Landing Gear Step-1
Thelandinggearispartiallyassembledheretohavethemotorwiringruninsidethelandingplate.Itwillnotbebolted
totheclampsyettohelpwiththearmassemblyonaflatsurface.
MaterialNeeded:
● 4xHQuad500TipLandingORWireCap
● 4xRubberGrommet
1. InserttherubbergrommetintheholelandingORcap.

GearStep2”.Wedonotsuggesttomountthemontheframeatthissteptobeabletoassembletheframe

Theclampsareasymmetricandtheyneedtobeinstalledcorrectlyonthetop&bottomplates.Mostlytobesurethe
top&bottomwillworktogetherbutalsohelpwiththeCameraPlatemountingupfront.Tohelpwiththisprocesswe
namedthesidesoftheclampsAandB.

Hexscrews.ThosetwoviewsarefromtheInsideoftheframeandwheretheclampsshouldsit.Thisisalso
importantasthemountingpatternfortheQuadrinoNanofeaturesacutouttoallowadvancedwiringand
needstomatch.

2.4 - Electronics
Atthisstageitisthebesttimetomounttheelectronicsbeforeclosingthetwoframehalvesandaddthearms.Since
theESC(electronicspeedcontroller)willbemountedinsidetheframewealsorecommendtotestmotorrotationfor
eacharmlocationbasedonyourflightcontrollerrecommendations.
WeprovideESCmountingplatesthatactasaframestiffeneraswell.TheESC’sareheldontheplatewith3”Cable
ties.
