This description contains information on the following topics. Cross references in the
description direct you to the relevant actions.
• LUXMATE philosophy
• LUXMATE scenes
• LUXMATE time control
• LUXMATE sequence control
• LUXMATE daylight-dependent control
• LUXMATE addressing
• LUXMATE equipment
2.1 LUXMATE philosophy
> Creating unique environments using light < is LUXMATE’s objective. Light and glare are the
deciding factors of workspace design, as they have a direct effect on people’s well being, their
ability to concentrate and their efficiency. Through the use of innovative approaches, the light
and room management from LUXMATE puts people first. Special emphasis is placed on the
ergonomically and energetically-optimised room function control.
With easy-to-use, intuitive operating elements, the room scenario is adapted easily and
effectively to individual preferences and differing workspace arrangements.
2.2 LUXMATE scenes
Our experiences of the environment in which we live are sensory-based. The warm light of a
sunset effects us differently than the gray sky on a rainy day. Conditions in our environment
effect our personal mood. Our respective personal mood determines the success of our
activities. LUXMATE’s objective is to always create the right scene in a room and thereby a
suitable personal mood.
The scene in a room is set by the natural environmental conditions (weather, time) and the
LUXMATE equipment (Chap. 2.7, Pg. 6). Brightness, light balance and the position of blinds all
effect people in a room as much as opened windows, temperature and air exchange.
The LUXMATE equipment can be optimised for each activity and type of room usage. The
respective composition is then saved as a LUXMATE scene. Each LUXMATE output continually
saves its value for this scene. This scene can now be called up from any LUXMATE touch panel
in the room. Up to 20 scenes can be set (Chap. 6.1, Pg. 25).
You can also deviate from these scenes and adjust the LUXMATE equipment as desired. To
set the LUXMATE equipment, carry out the actions listed in Chap. 5.4, Pg. 22 (Setting units or
groups temporarily).
