Before you start…
Proper use of the product
The device is designed for crosscuts, mitre
cuts, angled cuts and dual mitre cuts of long
workpieces, e.g. profiles and boards.
Only those materials may be processed that
are permitted by the relevant saw blade.
The device is not designed for commercial
use. The generally recognised accident
prevention regulations and enclosed safety
notes must be observed.
Only carry out tasks described in these
operating instructions. Any other type of use
is inappropriate misuse. The manufacturer is
not liable for any damages incurred.
What are the meanings of the symbols
used?
Notes indicating danger and other notes are
clearly identified in the instruction manual.

General safety information
• The user of the device must have read
and understood these operating
instructions prior to its first use in order to
safely implement this device.
• If you sell or pass on the device, you must
also pass on these operating instructions.
General safety information for power
tools
• Save all warnings and instructions for
future reference. The term power tool
in all of the warnings listed below refers to
both mains operated (corded) power
tools and battery operated (cordless)
power tools.
Work area safety
• Keep work area clean and well lit.
Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in
explosive atmospheres, such as in the
presence of flammable liquids, gasses
or dust. Power tools create sparks,
which may ignite dust or vapours.
• Keep children and bystanders away
while operating a power tool.
Distractions may cause you to lose
control of the unit.
Electrical safety
• Power tool plugs must match the
outlet. Never modify the plug in any
way. Do not use an adapter in
conjunction with protective-earth
power tools. Unmodified plugs and
matching outlets will reduce risk of
electric shock.
• Avoid body contact with earthed or
grounded surfaces such as pipes,
radiators, ranges and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric
shock if your body is earthed or
grounded.

• Do not expose power tools to rain or
wet conditions. Water entering a power
tool will increase the risk of electric
shock.
• Do not misuse the cable by using it to
carry the power tool, to hang it up or to
pull the plug out of the socket. Keep
the cable away from heat, oil, sharp
edges or moving device parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase
the risk of electric shock.
• When operating a power tool
outdoors, use an extension cord
suitable for outdoor use. The use of a
suitable extension cable for outdoor use
will reduce the risk of an electrical shock.
• If it is not possible to avoid using the
power tool in a damp environment, use
a residual current circuit-breaker. Use
of an RCD reduces the risk of electric
shock. NOTE: The term "residual current
device (RCD)" may be replaced by the
term "ground fault circuit interrupter
(GFCI)" or "earth leakage circuit breaker
(ELCB)".
Personal safety
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing
and use common sense when
operating a power tool. Do not use
power tools when you are tired, or
under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or prescription drugs. A moment of
inattention while operating power tools
may result in serious personal injury.
• Use safety equipment. Always wear
goggles. Safety equipment such as dust
mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or
hearing protection, according to the type
of power tool and the purpose, will
reduce personal injuries.
• Avoid switching on accidentally.
Ensure that the power tool is switched
off before you connect it to the power
supply/battery or carry it anywhere.
Carrying power tools with your finger on
the switch or plugging in power tools that
have the switch on invites accidents.
• Remove any adjusting keys or
wrenches before turning the power
tool on. A wrench or a key left attached
to a rotating part of the device may result
in personal injury.
• Avoid unnatural body positions. Keep
proper footing and balance at all
times. This enables better control of the
power tool in unexpected situations.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose
clothing or jewellery. Keep hair,
clothing and gloves well away from
moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery
or long hair may be caught in moving
parts.
• If devices are provided for the
connection of dust extraction and
collection facilities, ensure these are
connected and properly used. Use of
these devices can reduce dust related
hazards.
Power tool use and care
• Do not force the power tool. Use the
appropriate power tool for the task in
hand. The correct power tool will do the
job better and safer at the rate for which
it was designed.
• Do not use the power tool if the switch
does not turn it on and off. Any power
tool that cannot be controlled with the
switch is dangerous and must be
repaired.
• Disconnect the plug from the power
source and/or the battery pack from
the power tool before making any
adjustments, changing accessories, or
storing power tools. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the power tool accidentally.
• Store power tools that are not in use
out of the reach of children. Do not
allow persons to operate the unit who
are not familiar with it, or who have not
read these instructions. Power tools
are dangerous in the hands of untrained
users.
• Maintain power tools. Check to ensure
that moving parts function properly
and do not jam, check for breakage of
parts or damage that may impair the
power tool’s operation. If damaged,
have the power tool repaired before
use. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained power tools.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained cutting tools with
sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam
and are easier to control.
• Use the power tool, accessories and
other tools etc. in accordance with
these instructions. Take account of the
working conditions and the task to be
carried out. Use of the power tool for
purposes for which it was not intended
may result in a hazardous situation.
