How do I test a battery
Connecttheclamps(Redto+andBlackto-)tothebatteryrsttoletthe
Batterytesterdeterminethechargingstateofthebatteryanddisplayitto
you.Forreliablereading,thebatteryshouldbeatroomtemperature(20
ºC),anditmusthavebeenrestingforatleast4hours(nocharginghas
takenplaceeitherinthevehicleorusingthekeepowerIntelligentBattery
Carecharger).Ifcharginghastakenplacewithinthelast4hours,ahigher
readingwillbetheresult.Testingofthebatterywillalwaystakeplacebefore
charging,enablingthekeepowerIntelligentBatteryCaresystemtogivethe
optimumchargetothebattery.

Full:Thereisnoreasontocharge.Howeverasmalltop-upcharge
cannormallybeadded.
Medium:Thebatterycanbechargedwithinthenormalcharging
mode.
Low: Thebatterycanbechargedwithinthenormalcharging
mode.
Discharged battery:Ifyouneedtousethebatteryfasttheintel-
ligentBoostmodecanbeused.Otherwisesoftchargeisactivated
automaticallywhenchargingstarts(recommended).
Deep Discharged:IfbatterysymbolisashingImmediatecharg-
ingisneeded.ChargingwillstartwithSoftcharge.Intelligent
Boostchargecanbeselectedforfastcharging.UseofSoftcharge
isrecommended.

How do I charge and select different charging
modes
Thedifferentchargingmodesareselectedinthemenu.
Normal chargingisusedonnormalbatteries(Wet,opentype),
maintenance-free,GEL,AGMandsealedbatterywithagaslimit
at14.0Vor14.4VinBulkcharging,and14.4Vor14.8VinAfter-
charge.(batterytypeisselectedfordeterminingthegaslimet).
Inthedisplaythecurrentvoltageonthebatteryisshowed
togetherwiththechargingcurrent
Boost modeisusedwhentryingtorepairdeepdischarged
batteries,andisfurtherdescribedunder"Theintelligentcharging
curve".
Inthedisplaythecurrentvoltageonthebatteryisshowed
togetherwiththechargingcurrent
Supply Modeisusedasapowersupplywhene.g.thecaris
inashowroomandthecarsfacilitiesisusedwithoutthemotor
running.Incaseofoverload,awarningisgivinginthedisplay.If

Abatteryhastobeconnectedforactivationof"Supplymode"
