POWER SOURCE
Battery Operation
1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Correctly Insert 3 “AA” size batteries.
To prevent possible damage make sure you:
• Insert batteries according to the indicated polarity
• Do not apply heat to the batteries
• Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the radio for a long time
• Remove empty batteries immediately
• Do not use old and new batteries together
To Use AC Adapter
Connect the plug to the radio and the schuko plug to an AC wall outlet. The DC
input is 4.5 V outer + inner –.
Clock Function
1. To set the time press the “POWER” button to go into standby mode.
2. Press “TIME/SET/MEMORY” and use the “HOUR/+” and “MIN/–” to set the
correct time.
3. After you are nished press the “TIME/SET/MEMORY” button again to save
the settings.
4. Press “MODE” to view the time on the display.
Radio Operation
1. Move the lock switch to the UP position.
2. Turn on the radio with the “POWER” button.
3. Adjust the volume with the “VOLUME +/–” button.
4. Select the desired band using the “BAND/WAKE” button.
5. Tune to the desired station using the “HOUR/+” or “MIN/–” buttons. The
frequency is displayed on the display.
6. To improve reception, move the antenna.
7. To switch o the radio use the “POWER” button.
Headphone
If you want to listen via a headphone, lower the volume, connect the
headphone and set the volume to the desired level again.
NOTE: When the received signal is weak, or the batteries are low, the FM ST
indicator may not show up on the display, even though the sound can still be
heard via the headphones.

Automatic Tuning
To automatically tune to the desired station press and hold “HOUR/+” or “MIN/–”
for more than 2 seconds. The radio will then search for the next available
station. For SW press the “METER” button repeatedly to select a station.
Direct Tuning
To directly input the desired frequency, press the “ENTER” button and type in
the frequency of the desired station. Press “ENTER” to conrm.
Presets
This radio is able to store 40 preset stations, with a maximum of 10 on each
band. When you are listening to the station you want to store, follow these
steps:
1. Press “TIME/SET/MEMORY”, MEMO will blink in the display.
2. Press a preset number (0–9).
3. Press the “TIME/SET/MEMORY” button again and the station will be stored.
NOTE: Storing a station needs to be completed in succession without any
pauses.
To select a stored preset station, rst select the desired band and then press the
numerical key which corresponds with the stored station.
ALARM SETTINGS
To Set the Alarm
1. Switch to standby mode.
2. Press the “BAND/WAKE” button repeatedly to select the desired alarm
(OFF, BUZZ, RADIO).
3. Hold the “BAND/WAKE” button until the time starts ashing.
4. Set the desired alarm time using “HOUR/+” or “MIN/–” and press “BAND/
WAKE” to conrm.
Sleep Setting
When you want to fall asleep with the radio on, press the “SLEEP/SNOOZE”
button to activate the timer. Change the duration of the timer by repeatedly
pressing the “SLEEP/SNOOZE” button. After the desired length is displayed do
not touch the radio and it will automatically turn o after the set period of time.
To cancel the function press the “SLEEP/SNOOZE” function.

Turning O The Alarm
When the alarm goes o, press the “SLEEP/SNOOZE” button to go into snooze
mode. After 9 minutes the alarm will go o again. To turn o the alarm press
the “POWER ON” button. To prevent the alarm from going o the next day
press the “BAND/WAKE” button repeatedly until the display shows OFF.
Reset
Press the RESET button with a pen or small object to reset all functions.
Antennas
FM: Pull out the Telescopic Antenna and adjust its length and angle for
optimum reception.
MW: The sensitive ferrite care antenna inside the set will provide excellent MW
reception in most areas. For optimum reception, turn the set in the direction
which gives the best results as the ferrite care antenna is directional.
SW: Extend the telescopic antenna fully and keep it vertical.
NOTE: The EXT.ANT jack is mainly used for short wave.

Safety precautions
Read, heed and follow all instructions.
• Do not use the apparatus in places that are extremely hot, cold, dusty or
humid, do not leave the apparatus where the temperature may increase
suchas under the direct sunlight or near a heater.

• The main plug is used as the disconnect device. The disconnect device
should remain readily accessible.
• Unplug the unit or remove all batteries if the unit is not in use for a long period.

• The marking information is located at the bottom of the apparatus.
• Always ensure adequate space for ventilation.
• Attentions should be drawn to the environmental aspects of batteries disposal.
• Use the apparatus in moderate climates.

STROMVERSORGUNG
Batteriebetrieb
1. Önen Sie das Batteriefach.
2. Legen Sie korrekt 3 Batterien der Größe„AA“ ein.
Um eine mögliche Beschädigung zu vermeiden, sorgen Sie dafür, dass Sie:
• die Batterien gemäß der angezeigten Polarität eingelegt haben
• keine Hitze auf die Batterien anwenden
• die Batterien entfernen, wenn Sie das Radio für eine längere Zeit nicht
verwenden
• leere Batterien sofort entfernen
• neue und alte Batterien nicht zusammen verwenden
Gebrauch Eines Netzadapters
Stecken Sie den kleinen Stecker in das Radio ein und den Schukostecker in eine
Netzsteckdose. Die Eingangsspannung am Radio beträgt 4,5 V (+ Außen/
–Innen).
Uhrfunktion
1. Um die Zeit einzustellen drücken Sie die„POWER“-Taste um in den Standby-
Modus zu gelangen.
2. Drücken Sie „TIME/SET/MEMORY“ und benutzen Sie die „HOUR/+“ und
„MIN/–“ um die richtige Zeit einzustellen.
3. Wenn Sie damit fertig sind, drücken Sie die „TIME/SET/MEMORY“-taste
nochmals um die Einstellungen zu speichern.
4. Drücken Sie „MODE“ um die Zeit auf der Anzeige zu sehen.
Radiobetrieb
1. Stellen Sie den Verriegelungsschalter auf die UP (HOCH)-Position.
2. Schalten Sie das Radio mit der„POWER“ Taste ein.
3. Regulieren Sie die Lautstärke mit der„VOLUME +/–“-Taste.
4. Wählen Sie den gewünschten Frequenzbereich mit der„BAND/WAKE“-
Tasteaus.
5. Stellen Sie den gewünschten Sender mit der„HOUR/+“ oder„MIN/–“-
Tasteein. Die Frequenz wird auf der Anzeige dargestellt.
6. Um den Empfang zu verbessern, bewegen Sie die Antenne.
7. Um das Radio auszuschalten drücken Sie die„POWER“ Taste.

Kopfhörer
Wenn Sie mit einem Kopfhörer zuhören wollen, reduzieren Sie die Lautstärke,
schliessen Sie den Kopfhörer an und stellen Sie die Lautstärke wieder auf den
gewünschten Pegel ein.
ANMERKUNG: Wenn das Empfangssignal schwach ist, oder die Batterien zu
schwach sind, ist es möglich, dass das FM ST (UKW Stereo) Symbol nicht in
der Anzeige angezeigt wird, auch wenn man über den Kopfhörer noch etwas
hörenkann.
Automatische Einstellung
Um automatisch den gewünschten Sender einzustellen, drücken und halten
Sie„HOUR/+“ oder„MIN/–“ für mehr als 2 Sekunden. Das Radio wird dann den
nächsten verfügbaren Sender suchen. Für KW drücken Sie die„METER“-Taste
wiederholt und wählen Sie einen Sender aus.
Direkte Eingabe
Um die gewünschte Frequenz direkt einzugeben, drücken Sie die„ENTER“-
Taste und tippen Sie die Frequenz des gewünschten Senders ein. Drücken Sie
„ENTER“ zur Bestätigung.
Senderspeicher
Dieses Radio kann 40 Sender speichern, aber max. 10 Sender in jedem
Frequenzbereich. Wenn Sie einen Sender hören, den Sie speichern wollen,
folgen Sie diesen Schritten:
1. Drücken Sie„TIME/SET/MEMORY“, MEMO wird in der Anzeige aueuchten.
2. Drücken Sie eine Zierntaste (0–9) für den gewünschten Speicherplatz.
3. Drücken Sie die„TIME/SET/MEMORY“-Taste nochmals und der Sender wird
gespeichert.
ANMERKUNG: Das Speichern eines Senders muss ohne Pausen ausgeführt
werden.
Um einen voreingestellten Sender auszuwählen, müssen Sie erst den
gewünschten Frequenzbereich auswählen und dann die Zierntaste welche
dem gespeicherten Sender entspricht drücken.
WECKEINSTELLUNGEN
Einstellung des Weckers
1. Wechseln Sie zum Standby-Modus.
2. Drücken Sie die„BAND/WAKE“-Taste wiederholt um die Weckfunktion
auszuwählen (OFF, BUZZ, RADIO).
