How to install

commerciallyavailablecleaningclothtowipeoffanydirtor
greasefromthelocationyouaremountingthedevice.
Followtheinstructionsbelowtosecurelymountyour
deviceinavehicle.

2. Adjustthelensangle.Whenadjustingtheangleofmounting,
makesurethatthecameraʼsviewisparallelwiththelevel
groundandtheground/skyratioiscloseto6/4.
3. Connectthecables.Routethecablesthroughthetopceiling
andtheA-pillarsothatitdoesnotinterferewithdriving.
Makesurethatthecableinstallationdoesnotinterferewith
thevehicleʼsairbagsorothersafetyfeatures.

Using a Memory Card
Youmustinsertamemorycardbeforeyoucanstartrecording.
YoushoulduseseparateMicroSDcardsforrecordingandfor
regulardatastorage.
Holdthecard(MicroSD)bytheedgesandgently
insertitintotheslotasshownintheillustration.
Toremoveacard,gentlypushthetopedgeof
thecardinwardstoreleaseitandpullitoutofthe
slot.
Formatting a Card

Note:
DONOTapplypressuretothecentreofthememorycard.
Themanufacturerdoesnotguaranteetheproductʼs
compatibilitywithmemorycardsfromallmanufacturers.
Beforeyoustartrecording,pleaseformatthememorycardto
avoidmalfunctioncausedbyfilesnotcreatedbythedevice.
Turnthedeviceoffbeforeremovingthememorycard.
Turning the Device On
Completetheinstallationaccordingtotheinstructionsinthe
“Usingyourdeviceinavehicle”section.Oncethevehicleengine
isstarted,thedeviceautomaticallyturnson. TheSystem
indicatorglowsingreenwhenthedeviceispowered.
Power Button
PressandholdthePowerbuttonfor2secondstomanuallyturn
thedeviceonandoff.

Shutting down the Device
Occasionally,youmayneedtoperformahardwareresetwhen
thedevice stopsrespondingorifitappears tobe “frozen”or
unresponsive. Toshutdownthedevice,pressandholdthe
Powerbuttonuntilthesystempowersoff.
Ifthesystemdoesnotshutdownbykeeping
thePowerbuttonpressed,youcanforceitto
shutdownbyinsertingasmallrod(suchas
astraightenedpaperclip)intothe
Shutdownbuttononthedevice.

Setting the Date and Time
Tomakesurethatthedateandtimeofyourrecordingsare
correct,checkthesettingsbeforeyoubeginrecording.

Recording in Driving Mode
Continuous Recording
Bydefault,thesystemwillautomaticallybegincontinuous
recordingshortlyafterstart-up.TheSystemindicatorflashes
ingreenandamberalternatelywhiletherecordingisin
progress.
Therecordingmaybedividedintoseveralvideoclips;
recodingwillnotstopbetweenvideoclips.Whenyour
memorycardfillsupwithcontinuousrecordings,itwill
automaticallyrecordovertheoldestexistingfilesinthis
category.
When continuous recording is in progress, you can
manuallystoprecordingbypressing.Press to
returntotherecordingscreen,thesystemwillstart
continuousrecordingautomatically.
Thecontinuousrecordingscanbefoundinthe“Video”
categoryforfileplayback.

Bydefault,ifaneventhappenssuchasasuddenimpact,
highspeeddriving,anaggressiveturnoranaccidental
crashduringcontiniousrecording,theGsensorwillprompt
thedevicetostartrecordingtheevent.

YoucanchangethesensitivityleveloftheGsensorby

Ifyouwanttomanuallystartaneventrecordingwhile
continuousrecordingisinprogress,presstheEvent

Setting up a Wireless Connection
Onyourdevice,select >Wireless LAN>Ontoenablethe
wireless LAN mode. Once enabled, the wireless LAN setting
screendisplaystheSSIDandpasswordofthedevice.
Onyoursmartphone,followthestepstosetupthewireless
connection.
1. EnablethewirelessLANfunctiononthesmartphone.
2. OpentheJVCDVRLinkappandfollowtheon-screen
instructionstosetuptheconnection.
OpenthewirelessLANsettingofthesmartphonetodisplay
thedetecteddevices.Fromthelist,selectthedeviceyou
wanttoconnecttoandthenenterthepassword.
Thenexttimeyouuseyoursmartphonetoconnecttothe
device,youwillnotbepromptedtoenterthepassword
againunlessyouresetyourphonetothefactorydefault
settings.
Note:Theinstructions aboutoperatingthesmartphoneare for
referenceonly.Theactualsettingoptionsandmethodsmayvary
dependingonyourphonetype/modelandtheappversion.

Onceconnected,theeventrecordingswillbeautomatically
transferredtoyoursmartphoneviatheJVCDVRLinkapp.

thattriggerstheeventrecordingduringcontinuous
recording.
