3.Safety
3.1Authorizeduse
Thismachineisdesignedforsawingwood,woodderived
materialsaswellassimilartobemachinedhardplasticsonly.
Machiningofothermaterialsisnotpermittedandmaybe
carriedoutinspecificcasesonlyafterconsultingwiththe
manufacturer.
Nometalworkpiecesmaybemachined.
Theworkpiecemustallowtosafelybeloaded,supportedand
guided.
Theproperusealsoincludescompliancewiththeoperating
andmaintenanceinstructionsgiveninthismanual.
Themachinemustbeoperatedonlybypersonsfamiliarwith
itsoperationandmaintenanceandwhoarefamiliarwithits
hazards.
Therequiredminimumagemustbeobserved
Themachinemustonlybeusedinatechnicallyperfect
condition
Whenworkingonthemachine,allsafetymechanismsand
coversmustbemounted.
Inadditiontothesafetyrequirementscontainedinthese
operatinginstructionsandyourcountry’sapplicable

3.2Generalsafetynotes
Woodworkingmachinescanbedangerousifnotused
properly.Thereforetheappropriategeneraltechnicalrulesas
wellasthefollowingnotesmustbeobserved.
Readandunderstandtheentireinstructionmanualbefore
attemptingassemblyoroperation.
Keepthisoperatinginstructionclosebythemachine,
protectedfromdirtandhumidity,andpassitovertothenew
ownerifyoupartwiththetool.
Nochangestothemachinemaybemade.
Dailyinspectthefunctionandexistenceofthesafety
appliancesbeforeyoustartthemachine.
Donotattemptoperationinthiscase,protectthemachineby
unpluggingthemainscord.
Removealllooseclothingandconfinelonghair.
Beforeoperatingthemachine,removetie,rings,watches,
otherjewellery,androllupsleevesabovetheelbows.

7.1Changingthesawblade
Thesawbladehastomeetthetechnicalspecification.
Chooseasuitablesawblade,accordingtothecuttingoperation
andaccordingtothematerialtobecut.
Forhighripcuts:
‐useawidesawblade(e.g.10mm),coarseteethed.
Fornarrowcurvedcuts:
‐useanarrowsawblade(e.g.3mm).
Checksawbladeforflaws(cracks,brokenteeth,bending)
beforeinstallation.Donotusefaultysawblades.
Thesawbladeteethmustpointincuttingdirection(down)
Alwayswearsuitablegloveswhenhandlingsawblades.
Thesawbladesmayonlybechangedwhenthemainsplugis
pulled!
Toremovetheblade:
Openthewheelcovers.
Removethetableslotbolt(J,Fig13).
Releasethebladetension(AandI).

‐Disconnectbandsawfrompowersource.
‐Tocheckthebladetracking,rotatedrivewheelbyhandin
clockwisedirection.Viewbladethroughtrackingwindow.
‐Thesawblademustrunonthecentreoftherubbertyres(Fig
15).

Quickbladetensionlever:
Tooperatethemachine,thequickbladetensionlever(I,Fig
13)mustbeinthe“tensioned”upposition.
Note:
Whenthebandsawisnotinuseforalongerperiodoftime,
placethequickbladetensionlevertotheloweredposition;
releasingthebladetensionwillprolongtheblade’slife.
7.5Bladeguideadjustment
Bladeguideadjustmentshallneverbeperformedwhenthe
machineisrunning.
Openthewheelcovers.

‐Upperbladeguidesemployguidepinsforsidesupportanda
ballbearingforrearsupport.
‐Loosenscrews(Y,Fig16)andadjustguidepins(X)tosidesof
theblade.
Checkthatguidepinsareapproximately0.05mmawayfrom
blade(G).
Aquickwaytoachievethespacingneeded(~0,05mm)is
placingapapernotebetweenbladeandguidepins.
‐Lockadjustmentbytighteningscrews.
