Speaker Stands!
The Pro Series products have been designed with enthusiasts in mind. So
whether you are an audiophile, DJ, into gaming, media production, or just
enjoy listing to good music we feel confident that you are about to get
more from your near field listening experience.
To enjoy more precise audio imaging, unhindered sound stage and
improved audio clarity in a near field listening set-up, correct placement
and positioning of your speakers is crucial. Achieving an optimum set-up
with the Pro Series Desktop Speaker Stands is easily achievable. Take a
look at our Audio Set-up Guide on page 10 of this manual to see how.

Key Features
Height Adjustable With Level Indicators
Height adjustable to allow you to set the mid-axis of each speaker
in your near field listening set-up to your seated ear level.
Tilt Adjustable Top Plate
A 20° forward through to 20° backward tilt range allows you to set
the optimum speaker face angle for each speaker in your set-up.

Specially designed 60 durometer hardness silicone feet isolate

Assembly Instructions
From the underside of the base plate use the M6 fasteners to
fasten the stand neck assembly to the base plate.
Loosen the central M8 fastener in the neck assembly, extend
the aluminium riser upward and temporarily re-tighten the M8
fastener.
Seat the top plate spacer onto the top of the aluminium riser
and using the remaining M6 fasteners fasten the top plate to the
riser & top plate spacer as shown.
Fit the silicone top mat onto the top plate. Make sure that the
locating nubs on the underside of the top mat slot into the holes
on the top plate so that the top mat sits flat.
When you have completed the set-up of your stands (see the
Audio Set-up Guide on page 10) and placed your speakers on the
stands, slot the speaker cord loop onto the guides at the rear of
the neck assembly as shown.

Safety Instructions & Tips
The Pro Series Desktop Speaker Stands have been designed for mid-sized
speakers used for desk and near field listening setups. Do not overload
each stand beyond the recommended 10kg per stand speaker weight
load capacity or place oversized speakers on the stands.
To fit the speaker cable loop, start by bunching
your speaker cables up to the rear of the neck
assembly. Then slide the cable loop down over
the cables onto the two guides at the rear of the
neck assembly until you feel the cable loop ‘snap’
into place.
To remove the speaker cable loop grip the cable
loop with your thumb on top and while rotating
the cable loop back away from the neck assembly
apply an upward force to lift the cable loop off
the guides.

!PLEASE ENSURE ALL
FASTENERS ARE TIGHTENED
FIRMLY BEFORE USING THE
STANDS.
WARNING
This applies particularly to the central
M8 pivot fastener. For each stand:
please make sure this fastener is FULLY
TIGHTENED after adjusting the height
and tilt of the stand top plate BEFORE
placing your speaker on the stand.

The bass response (and to some degree audio
image clarity) of a speaker can be tweaked to a
listener’s preference by changing the interface
material used to couple (or decouple) the speaker
with its base contact surface.
For this reason we have designed the silicone
vibration damping top mat component of the Pro
Series Desktop Speaker Stands to be removable
to allow you to sit your speakers directly on each
stand’s top plate surface, or to allow you to use
alternative speaker-to-stand coupling interface
options such as foam isolation pads, spikes or
other custom designed solutions.
While we think the silicone vibration damping
top mat works beautifully, we recommend that
you experiment and find the speaker-to-stand
coupling interface option that for your specific
speaker configuration and listening needs works
best for you.

Setting the Correct Height
STEP ONE
To enjoy more precise audio imaging, an unhindered sound stage and
improved audio clarity in a near field listening set-up, correct placement
and positioning of your speakers is crucial.
Achieving an optimum near field listening set-up using the Ion Forge Pro
Series Desktop Speaker Stands is easily achievable.
Adjust the height settings of your desktop
speaker stands so that when you place your
speakers on top of the stands the mid-axis
between each speaker’s tweeter and woofer is
set at your seated ear level.
Lifting your speakers up off your desk to your ear
level allows sound waves originating from each
speaker to travel directly to your ears and means
you avoid experiencing the detrimental acoustic
affects (degraded tonal balance, reduced audio
clarity and distorted audio image) caused by
sound waves bouncing off your desk surface
before reaching your ears.
You will immediately notice the difference to your
listening experience by simply making this one
improvement.

!It is recommended that you place your speakers ‘right side up’ or
vertically versus on their sides. Placing your speakers on their sides can
degrade stereo audio image.
