Installation Best Practices
In order to ensure long lasting operation of the product, ensure the
following best practices during installation.
1Install the product in a place without any direct sunlight, UV light, dust,
or soot.
2Install the product in a well-ventilated and cool place away from direct
sunlight to prevent overheating when installing it outside.
3When installing multiple products in the same area, maintain the
minimum distance between products. Keep 30 cms distance between
devices to avoid RF interference. When using Invixium's digital card, keep
1 meter distance between devices to avoid BLE interference.
4Even though the product is IP67 rated, it is recommended to use an
enclosure or an overhang when the product is installed outside.
Reset and Tamper
The device can be reset to factory default settings via the
VERTU configuration app or the reset button at the back of
the device. To reset using the physical button, follow the
steps below:
1Power on the Device.
2After boot-up, press the reset button three times quickly.
3When the green LED is blinking, wait for device to reboot.
Tamper is activated when the device is removed from the
mounting plate. Reset button Tamper Switch
1Remove the Mounting Plate, screws and all
accessories from the box.
2Install the Mounting Plate at the desired location using the
2 Wall Mounting screws.
3Make the necessary connections to the wires on the
back of the device (refer Get Wired Page).
4Hang your device on the Mounting Plate and secure it
on the bottom with the security screw.
5Power the device using a safety tested, FCC/IC/CE
certified, IEC/EN 62368-1 approved power adaptor
providing up to 12 VDC @ 300 mA or directly from the
access control panel.

For RS-485 networks, ensure that
IXM
devices are wired in a daisy chain
configuration using AWG24 twisted pair
cable
.

With a RS-485 daisy chain, connect
the termination resistor (120 Ω) to
both ends of the daisy chain
connection.

At a baud rate of 9600 bps, ensure
that the
maximum cable length is not
longer than 1200 m (4000 ft).

The location of the card reader on Invixium devices
depends on the product model.
For VERTU, the card reader is located at the centre
of the device, below the LED.
