3.2 Functions
1 = Temp. reach indication: At the beginning of heating the smile face ashes. When the temp. reaches to the
set rate, the smile face will be on permanently.
2 = Heating progress: Shows the heating process. When the bar is full, the set temperature has been reached.
3 = Roller running direction indication: Shows the roller running forward or reversely.
4 = Speed indication: Shows the set speed, the speed can be adjusted between 0 and 9.
5 = Status indication: Shows the working status of the machine:
RUN = Forward REV = Reverse
COLD = cold mounting STAY = ready mode
6 = Mode selection: 8 sets of xed laminating modes can be selected, according to the lm thickness:
(075, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 250 or cold laminating).
Remember: Thin lm: low temperature or high speed or both. Thick lm: high temperature or slow speed or
both
7 = Measure temperature button: Press this button to show temp. of the hot rollers.
8 = Start/stop button: Starts and stops the machine.
9 = Reverse: Press and hold. Rollers will run reversely and the lm will return back.
10 = Fan: Starts and stops the fans.
11 = Temperature set: There are two options:
a) ne adjustment: Press the temp. control button repeatedly
b) rapid adjustment: Press and hold the temp. control button.
12 = Speed selection: 9 grades of speed. Choose the suitable speed according to the lm thickness.
13 = Mode indication: shows the lm thickness according the selected lamination mode, and another one ac-
cording the cold mounting mode.
14 = Temperature indication: Show the set/measured temperature. Temp. can be set between 0 ° and 160 °C.
4 Operation Guide
1. Plug the mains power supply cable into the 220V / 50/60Hz socket and turn on the on/o switch located at
the back of the machine. The digital temperature display will show the current temperature of the rollers.
2. The rollers will start to pre-heat to the pre-set temperature setting of 100°C. Use the arrow buttons (11) on the
instrument panel to adjust the temperature according to the thickness of the laminating pouch to be used.
3. Let the PL-340 pre-heat until the “READY” indicator light comes on (approximately 4 to 5 minutes).
4. Press the RUN button (8), the machine starts to operate, the LCD shows the motor running, the progress bar
of the heating increases one by one.
5. After heating 4-5 minutes, when temp. reaches to the set number, the bar will be full (2) and the smiling face
(1) stops ashing. Now you can start the laminating work.
6. Insert your document into the laminating pouch and feed the pouch lm into the laminator, with the sealed
edge rst. The pouch will pass between the heated rollers, which will simultaneously melt the adhesive and
apply pressure, to create a seal.
7. When the pouch comes out the back of the machine, place it on a at surface to cool. This will help to prevent
wrinkles or bubbles forming in the pouch.
8. Feed any additional pouches through the machine. If the “READY” light (5) switches o, let the machine heat
up again until the light comes back on before inserting another pouch, to ensure proper lamination.
9. During the laminating process, if you nd the item is not placed in good position, press and hold the REVERSE
button (9). The motor will run reversely and return back the lm, you can position the item again.
