VersaPoint Rechargeable Wireless Desktop Suite

Regulatory Compliance
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept
any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
FCC Certication
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a residential installation. This
equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used
in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If
this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be
determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Notice: Any changes or modications not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Extension cables are not
recommended, if used, they must be shielded in order to comply with the emission limits.

Canada technical specications were met.

• USB RF receiver with pass through charging port

• User’s manual
Installing the Keyboard
• Remove the battery cover located at the bottom of the
keyboard.
• Insert the two supplied AAA rechargeable Ni-MH batteries
(included in the package) into the battery compartment.

Make sure the positive (+) and negative (-) ends of the
batteries match the polarity markings inside the battery
compartment.
• Snap the battery cover back into position.

• Remove the battery cover located at the bottom of the
mouse.
• Insert the two supplied AA rechargeable Ni-MH
batteries (included in the package) to the battery slots.
Make sure the positive (+) and negative (-) ends of the
batteries match the polarity markings inside the battery
compartment.
• Snap the battery cover back into position.
Charging the Batteries
• It’s recommended that
you fully charge the
batteries before initial use;
nevertheless it’s ready
for set up (see next step)
anytime during charging.

Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable disposable Alkaline
batteries. The batteries may leak and damage your mouse
or keyboard. Use only the rechargeable Ni-MH batteries
supplied. Shall replacing batteries become necessary use only
rechargeable Ni-MH batteries. Do not mix new and old batteries
or batteries of different brands or capacities in the products.

• Connect the charging cable (included in the box) to the
USB RF receiver’s charging port and the mouse. (Repeat
this step later for the keyboard.)
• Plug the receiver’s USB connector to your computer’s
available USB port.
• The initial charging process may take up to 8 hours.
Subsequent recharge may require less time depending on
the level of residual power in the batteries.
• Repeat these steps to charge the keyboard. Unplug the
charging cable from the mouse and connect it to the
keyboard’s charging port.
• The keyboard and mouse are operational during charging;
you can continue use the products while charging via the
USB charging cable.
• You are now ready to connect the keyboard and mouse to
your computer. (Note: it’s not necessary to wait for the
batteries to be fully charged before connecting to your
system.)

Connecting the Keyboard & Mouse to the
Computer
• Connect the RF receiver to an available USB port on your
computer. This may have been done when batteries are
being charged.
• The radio frequency (RF) codes are factory preset for
your convenience; the keyboard and mouse should be
functional at this point.
• If for any reason the keyboard and/or mouse do not

hibernation mode while the products are being charged. (Go to
Control Panel, Power Options, select “Hibernate” from the tabs
and uncheck the box marked “Enable Hibernation.)

function correctly, i.e. no cursor movements or sluggish
cursor movements, there may be other wireless devices in
the vicinity operating in the same radio frequency channel.
The keyboard and mouse can be easily reset to another
channel.
• To connect the mouse to your system, press the connect
button located at the bottom of the RF receiver (1) while
it’s connected to the computer’s USB port, and press the
connect button located at the bottom of the mouse (2).
This will reset the mouse and the RF receiver to a different
channel to avoid interference.
• To connect the keyboard to your system, press the connect
button located at the bottom of the RF receiver (1) while
it’s connected to the computer’s USB port, and press the
connect button located at the upper right-hand corner of
the keyboard (3). This will reset the keyboard and the RF
receiver to a different channel to avoid interference.
• This step can be repeated when needed.
