MMP-1: INSTALLATION & OPERATION MANUAL
PAGE 2
The MMP-1 is a universal remote wall panel featuring three input
modes: BT, Line input and USB audio le playback. It can used
as a remote input to distributed audio systems, or on its own
connected directly to mixers, ampliers or speaker systems. Users
have the choice to connect the MMP-1 locally in an installed
space or connect to devices remotely via inexpensive CAT6A
twisted pair cabling.
The MMP-1 is the right choice for users who wish to install
multiple streaming receivers within close vicinity to one another.
With a few simple steps users are able to rename the BT ID to
differentiate installed MMP-1’s throughout buildings such as
schools, universities, ofce spaces and other training facilities.

BT OPERATION
The MMP-1 is capable of audio streaming from compatible BT devices. The BT transmission range between
the MMP-1 and streaming device should be within 20 metres of the MMP-1. Only one streaming device can
be connected to the MMP-1 at a time.
BT Paring
To pair your streaming device to the MMP-1 use the mode button to cycle through the different modes until
you see the blue LED light. In default the MMP-1 is unpaired and the blue LED will ash slowly.
Press and hold the play/pause button for 8-10 seconds until the blue LED ashes rapidly. Go to the BT
settings on your streaming device and pair with the MMP-1. The default BT id is “inDESIGN MMP-1”.

2 3

MMP-1: INSTALLATION & OPERATION MANUAL PAGE 7
Once paired with the MMP-1 the blue LED light will illuminate without ashing. Use any application on the
connected device from this point to stream audio to the MMP-1. There is no pairing password.
*Note: Ensure you have the volume on the streaming device turn up. The MMP-1’s volume control is
separate to the volume of the streaming device.
BT Unpairing
There are 2 different ways to unpair a BT connected device to the MMP-1.
1. When in BT mode hold down the play/pause button for approx. 8-10 seconds.
The blue LED will now ash slowly indicating the MMP-1 is unpaired from the streaming device.
2. Go to the BT menu of the device and choose forget or disconnect from MMP-1 and the streaming
device will disconnect from the MMP-1.
The blue LED on the MMP-1 will begin to ash slowly when disconnected.
BT Custom Naming
In situations where a user has multiple MMP-1 products in close vicinity of each other or the user wishes to
change the BT ID of an MMP-1, this can be easily achieved by following the below instructions.
1. Acquire a USB stick. Make sure there are no other les on the stick and it is formatted as a FAT32 partition.
2. In MS EXCEL create a new le.
3. In CELL A1 – Type text: BtName(Max 16)
4. In CELL A2 – Type your custom BT ID name (Max of 16 characters) example: AUDIO RULES!
5. Save the new le as: _BtName in CSV format.
6. Copy the le to the root directory of your USB drive.
7. With the MMP-1 powered on, insert the USB drive into the USB port.
On successful le read, the MMP-1 will ash together 2 x pink and 1 x Green LED 3 times.
8. Once this process has completed remove the USB drive.
The BT ID name change has now taken place and you may pair your BT streaming device with the MMP-1.
*Please see BT paring section on page 6 of this manual for pairing instructions.
*Note: Ensure the le is removed from the USB drive if you plan to use the same USB drive for audio playback
in the future.

MMP-1: INSTALLATION & OPERATION MANUAL
PAGE 8
The MMP-1 can be connected in different ways to various audio devices.
Please note the MMP-1 is designed to work using only one output connection at a time. Please see page 9.
*Note: Connecting multiple inputs and outputs and the same time could cause damage to the MMP-1, or
other connected equipment.
Cable Type
As power and audio travel along the same cable from the MMP1 - through the PoE power supply to other
devices, the category network cable connected between the MMP-1 and all devices must be of a high
quality.
A shielded category network cable with shielded RJ45 terminations must be used.
*Note: The minimum network category cable type requirement is CAT6A. The Length of cable must not
exceed 100 metres between the MMP-1 and PoE power supply. Cables must be terminated with shielded
RJ45 connectors in T-568B standard.
