The input/output terminals and the test column may bring
voltage, when you plug/draw the test wire or power outlet, they

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

order to avoid possible danger, this product can only be used within the
prescribed scope.
Only qualified technician can carry out maintenance or repair work.

Use Proper Power Cord
Only use the power wire supplied by the product or meet the
specification of this produce.
Connect and Disconnect Correctly
When the test wire is connected to the live terminal, please do not
connect or disconnect the test wire.
Grounding
The product is grounded through the power wire; besides, the ground
pole of the shell must be grounded. To prevent electric shock, the
grounding conductor must be connected to the ground.

Make sure the product has been grounded correctly before connecting
with the input/output port.
Pay Attention to the Ratings of All Terminals
To prevent the fire hazard or electric shock, please be care of all
ratings and labels/marks of this product. Before connecting, please read
the instruction manual to acquire information about the ratings.
Do Not Operate without Covers
Do not operate this product when covers or panels removed.
Use Proper Fuse
Only use the fuse with type and rating specified for the product.
Avoid Touching Bare Circuit and Charged Metal
Do not touch the bare connection points and parts of energized
equipment.
Do Not Operate with Suspicious Failures
If you encounter operating failure, do not continue. Please contact with
our maintenance staff.
Do Not Operate in Wet/Damp Conditions.

This manual is the users’ guide on HTJL-V High Precision SF6 Gas Leak
Detectorr . Please read it carefully before use.

1.1 Applicable Range
This device is applicable to the fast and accurate qualitative and quantitative
measurement and analysis of the SF6 gas leaks of devices and containers used by
departments of power, railway, electric equipment manufacturing, chemical industry,
fire-fighting equipment and nuclear physics research. It can also serve as a supporting
device of SF6 electrical devices and export products by SF6 high pressure switch
manufacturers.

1.2 Relative Standards
The standards of this device are formed by quoting relative articles of the following
standards, which formulate the technical requirements, regulations of inspection,
method of measurement, applicable range, packing requirement, label, transport and
storage of this device.

equipment DL/T 639-1997;

II Function Overview
Along with the gradual rise of the voltage level of national transformer stations, the
usage of SF6 High voltage circuit breakers has been increasing by about 15% each
year. In the field of high pressure, extra-high pressure and ultra-high pressure switches,
SF6 has become the only insulating and arc extinguishing medium. Yet SF6 high
pressure switches are commonly installed indoor where the air motion is relatively slow,
so once a gas leak of SF6 occurs, it usually causes local oxygen deficit, which
asphyxiates working personnel and puts their lives in great danger. Furthermore, it
greatly reduces the arc extinguishing effects on high pressure control breakers, which
would damage the breakers themselves. So once a SF6 gas leak is discovered, relative
measures must be taken and the leaking point must be found and restored to eliminate
the potential safety hazard to the high pressure control breakers.
HTJL-V High Precision SF6 Gas Leak Detectorr can not only run optical alarms
according to the concentration thresholds set by customers, but it can also accurately
find leaking points of SF6 and apply quantitative detection on the leaking quantity,
annual leaking rate of SF6 control breakers and GIS in a variety ways such as observing
the trend of data change, which brings great convenience in SF6 device maintenance.

III Device Operation
3.0 Panel Operation
确认: Enter 返回:Return 开机:Start
LED: The switch of the LED light. Press it to switch on the LED light and press it
again to switch off the LED light.
Enter: Press ‘Enter’ to confirm the chosen status and set parameters in the menu
and enter the next interface.
←、→: To alter parameter positions in states of importing parameters and correcting
time.
↑、↓: To choose test items in the menu selection interface; to alter data and import
items in the parameter import interface; to alter time in the clock setting interface; to
choose items in the historical record interface.
Return: Press ‘Return’ to return to the testing page of the main menu;
Start: Long press ‘Start’ to turn on the device under the power-off status. Long
press ‘Start’ for a few seconds to shut down the device.
3.1 Touch ‘Start’ on the instrument panel to turn on the device. After two beeps are
heard, the device will be powered on and a welcome interface will be displayed.
Then the device will automatically enter the self-check status and start checking
parameters such as the sensor signals and battery level, etc. See Figure 1
below:
