Sicherheitshinweise
Hinweis!
• Dieses Produkt ist nur für den Gebrauch in Gebäuden bestimmt, nicht
aber in Scheunen und in ähnlichen aus brennbaren Materialien beste-
henden Gebäuden. Zur Vermeidung von Brand- und Stromschlaggefahr
darf das Gerät nicht dort eingesetzt werden, wo es Wasser oder direktem
Sonnenlicht ausgesetzt werden kann. Die Geräte sollte nur in Räumen
verwendet werden, in denen keine Möglichkeit zur Bildung explosiver
Gemische besteht.
Warnung!
• Stromschlaggefahr. Gerät nicht öffnen. Das Gerät enthält keine Teile, die
vom Benutzer selbst repariert werden können.
• Anschluss an 220-240 Volt, 50 oder 60 Hz Wechselstrom (beachten Sie
das Typenschild bezüglich der Einzelheiten).
•
Der Benutzer kann die Starter und Röhren austauschen. Alle Reparaturen und
Wartungsarbeiten sind nur durch qualifiziertes Service-Personal auszuführen.
• Bewahren Sie das Gerät in einem geschlossenen Raum und für Kinder
unzugänglich auf, wenn es nicht benutzt wird.
• Trennen Sie zur Sicherheit das Gerät vom Netz, wenn es nicht benutzt
wird sowie vor Wartungs- und Reinigungsarbeiten und dem Austausch
von Röhren usw.
• Vor Zweckentfremdung des Kabels wird gewarnt. Tragen Sie das Ge-
rät nicht am Kabel und ziehen Sie den Stecker nicht am Kabel aus der
Steckdose. Schützen Sie das Kabel gegen Hitze, Öl und scharfen Kanten.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn das Kabel beschädigt wurde. Lassen
Sie das Kabel ggf. durch qualifiziertes Service-Personal austauschen.
• Stecken Sie keine Gegenstände in das Gerät.
•
Das Gerät darf nicht an Orten verwendet werden, wo gefährliche Konzentra-
tionen brennbarer oder explosiver Substanzen in der Luft auftreten können.
• Dauerhafter Schutz gegen Stromschlag kann nur bei Anschluss an eine
Schukosteckdose gewährleistet werden.
• Verwenden Sie keine UV-B- oder UV-C-Lampen. Verwenden Sie nur die
vom Hersteller oder seiner Vertretung gelieferten UV-A-Lampen.
1. Art des Geräts
Der elektrische Fliegenvernichter darf nur in geschlossenen Räumen
verwendet werden. Das Gerät ist mit zwei Ultraviolett-Lampen (UV-A) und
einem unter Strom stehenden Gitter ausgestattet.

2. Auspacken des Geräts
Jedes Gerät wird sorgfältig verpackt, bevor es die Fabrik verlässt, um
sicherzustellen, dass es Sie in einwandfreiem Zustand erreicht. Entfer-
nen Sie sorgfältig alles Packmaterial vom Gerät, bevor Sie es in Betrieb
nehmen.
3. Aufstellort
Die Anziehungskraft des Fliegenvernichters auf Fluginsekten hängt teil-
weise von der Intensität des Tageslichts oder anderer Lichtquellen ab. Die
Wahl des Aufstellortes ist daher sehr wichtig für die Erreichung maxima-
ler Wirksamkeit.
Das Gerät sollte Tag und Nacht in Betrieb sein, wenn Fluginsekten häufig
auftreten. Wo es möglich ist, sollten Sie wie folgt verfahren:
• Montieren Sie das Gerät oberhalb der Kopfhöhe, vorzugsweise oberhalb
des mit den Armen erreichbaren Bereichs.
• Die Gesundheits- und Sicherheitsvorschriften erfordern, dass über Kopf
montierte Geräte durch geeignete Einrichtungen zur Reinigung und War-
tung sicher erreicht werden können.
• Platzieren Sie das Gerät so weit wie möglich entfernt von Fenstern, um
den Einfluss des Sonnenlichts zu verringern.
• Platzieren Sie das Gerät nicht über Lebensmitteln oder Flächen, auf de-
nen Lebensmittel zubereitet oder abgepackt werden.
• Hängen Sie das Gerät nicht über Wärme- oder Dampfquellen auf, da dies
zu Schäden an der Isolation des Kabels führen könnte.
• Platzieren Sie das Gerät außer Reichweite von Kindern.
• MONTIEREN SIE ES NICHT IM FREIEN oder in Ställen oder Scheuen.
• Das Gerät kann auf eine flache Tisch- oder Regaloberfläche gestellt
werden.
• Eine Schukosteckdose muss in der Nähe des vorgesehenen Aufstellortes
vorhanden sein.
4.Montage & Installation
Entscheiden Sie sich für eine der folgenden Arten und befolgen Sie die
Anleitung:
Wandmontage
Wählen Sie einen geeigneten Platz für die Montage Ihres Geräts wie in Ab-
schnitt 3 erwähnt aus. Bohren Sie zwei Löcher, 38 cm (15 Zoll) voneinander
entfernt, geeignet für Dübel Größe 8. Stecken Sie die beiden mitgelieferten
Dübel hinein und schrauben Sie die beiden Schrauben Größe 8 ein, so-
dass Sie 5 mm herausragen. Hängen Sie das Gerät auf die Schrauben und

beachten Sie dabei, dass die Schrauben vollständig im Gerät und nicht nur
auf der Kunststoffabdeckung ruhen.
Hängende Montage
Befestigen Sie die beiden Ösen am Deckel und sichern Sie diese mit den
mitgelieferten Schrauben. Ziehen Sie die Schrauben nicht zu fest und hän-
gen Sie das Gerät an den Ösen auf. Verwenden Sie eine Metallkette oder
ein Stahlkabel, ausreichend um das Fünffache des Gewichts des Geräts zu
tragen (das Gewicht des Geräts steht auf dem Typenschild).
Standmontage
Das Gerät hat Füße, auf denen es stabil stehen kann. Stellen Sie das Gerät
auf ein Regal, einen Tisch, eine Arbeitsplatte oder eine Unterlage.
Hinweis: Das Gerät muss von außen abgeschaltet und vom Netz getrennt
werden, wenn es gereinigt oder gewartet werden soll.
5.Netzanschluss
Bei der Installation ist folgendes zu beachten:
• Prüfen Sie, ob die Netzspannung mit der Angabe auf dem Typenschild
übereinstimmt.
• Schließen Sie das Gerät über das mitgelieferte Kabel an eine Schu-
ko-Steckdose an.
•
Es muss ein Kabel des Typs H05RN-F sein, so wie das mitgelieferte Kabel.
• Beachten Sie bei direktem Anschluss an das Netz den Farbcode:
Phase Erde Null
Schwarz oder braun Grün oder grün/ gelb Weiß oder blau
6.Wartungsroutine
Die einzige Wartung besteht darin, das Gerät wie folgt sauber zu halten:
• Reinigung wöchentlich, oder bei Bedarf.
• Schalten Sie das Gerät vor jeder Wartung ab und trennen Sie es von der
Stromquelle.
• Entfernen Sie tote Insekten aus der Auffangschale.
• Reinigen Sie die Auffangschale und das Gerät mit einem Tuch, das in
warmer Seifenlauge angefeuchtet wurde.
• Wenn nötig reinigen Sie das Gitter mit einem Nylonschwamm. Verwenden
Sie keine Stahlwolle. Vermeiden Sie es, das Gitter zu verbiegen.
Nach dem Anschließen sollte das Kabel mechanisch gesichert werden.
Bei hängender Montage sollte das Kabel an der Aufhängung befestigt werden.
Bei Wandmontage sollte das Kabel mit Kabelschellen an der Wand befestigt
werden.

Safety Instructions
Caution!
•This product has been conceived for use in closed rooms of dwellings, but
not for barns or other inflammable buildings.
The device is not constructed for used outdoors or in wet locations (e.g.
above cookers or in stream rooms).
To avoid risk of fire or electric shock, do not use where it may be exposed
to water or direct sun light including roofed, but open porches. Do not
operate the product in proximity of inflammable gases or materials which
are liable to explode.
Warning!
• Shock hazard. Do not open. No user service able parts inside.
• Primary circuits 220-240V @ 50 or 60 Hz (check serial label for details of
correct powerinput).
• Replacing the starters and tubes may be performed by the user all other
repairs and maintenance must be performed by qualified service person-
nel only.
• Store the unit indoors when not in use, out of reach of children.
• To maximise safety disconnect the product from the powersupply when
not in use, before servicing, when changing tubes, cleaning and the like.
• Do not abuse the cable, never carry the product by cable or pull it from
receptacle. Keep cable from heat, oil and sharp edges. If cable is dama-
ged do not use. Have the cable replaced by qualified service personnel.
• Do not insert foreign objects into this product.
• The unit must not be installed where dangerous concentrations of inflam-
mable or explosive substances are likely to occur in the air.
• To provide continued protection against the risk of electric shock, connect
to properly grounded outlets only.
• Never use UV-B or UV-C tubes in this product. Only use UV-A lamps
supplied by the distributor manufacturer.Schukosteckdose gewährleistet

1. Type of unit
This product has been conceived for use in closed rooms of dwellings.
The unit has two ultra-violet (UV-A) tubes and a live grille.

2. Unpacking the unit
Each unit is carefully packed before leaving the production factory to
ensure it reaches you in perfect working order.
Please be sure to remove all packing from the unit before installation.
3. Locating the unit
The attraction of the insect-o-kill unit to flying insects is partly dependent
on the intensity of competing daylight or artificial light. The correct sigh-
ting of the unit is therefore most important in order to achieve the maxi-
mum of efficiency. The unit should be operated day and night when flying
insects are prevalent. Where possible, follow these guidelines:
• Mount the unit above head-height and preferably, above arm’s reach.
• To comply with current health and safety legislation for working at
heights ensure that safe and appropriate access to the unit for main-
tenance and cleaning is available.
• Place the unit as far as possible from windows to minimize competition
from sunlight.
• Do not place the unit directly over exposed foods, food preparation surfa-
ces or packing lines.
• Do not hang the unit over sources or heat or steam since this may dama-
ge the insulation of the electric cables.
• Place the unit out of reach of children.
• The unit can be mounted on a flat table/shelf surface.
• Ensure a suitable power supply is located close by the intended position.
4.Assembly & Installation
Decide which method of installation and follow the instructions as follows:
Wall-Mounted Mode
Identify a suitable location for mounting your unit, as instructed in section
3. Drill 2 holes 38cm (15 inch) apart suitable for No. 8 plugs. Insert the two
plugs provided and screw in the two No. 8 screws to within 5mm of the
surface.
Hang the unit on the screws taking care to make sure the screws are inser-
ted fully into the unit and are not just
resting on the plastic cover.
Suspended Mode
Fit the two hanging tabs to the top cover and secure with the two screws
provided. Do not overtighten the srews.

Hang the unit from the tabs using metal chain or cord which is capable of
with standing 5 times the unit’s weight (see
the unit’s serial label for weight).
Free standing
The unit has integral feet for free standing stability. Stand the unit on shel-
ves, table tabs, work surfaces and other similar positions.
Note: Ensure the unit can be switched off and isolated by disconnection for
cleaning and maintenance.
5.Connection to electric power supply
Please observe the following instructions:
• Check the required input voltage on the product label is correct for your
supply.
• Connect the unit to the power source by the cable and plug provided.
• Connection to the EFK must be made using a cable type H05RN-F. The
cable supplied is of this type.
• Connect the cable to the power source ensuring that the correct code is
strictly followed:
Live Earth Neutral
Black or brown Green oder
green/yellow
White or blue
6.Routine maintenance
The only maintenance is to keep the unit clean as follow:
• Cleaning once a week or if required.
• Always switch off and disconnect from the power source before handling.
• Empty dead insects from the catch tray.
• Clean the catch tray and unit with a cloth dampened with warm water
and soap.
• When necessery, clean killing grille with a nylon scourer. Do not use steel
wool.
Be careful not to bend grille.
Once connected, the cable should be mechanically secured.
For suspended mode the cable should be secured to a suspension cord or
chain.
For wall mounted mode, secure the cable to the wall using cable clips.

• Ce produit a été conçu pour utilisation à l‘intérieur des habitations mais
non dans les granges ou autres immeubles inflammables. Cet appareil
n‘est pas conçu pour utilisation en extérieur ou dans des endroits humi-
des (par exemple : au dessus des cuisinières ou dans une pièce où se
crée de la vapeur). Pour éviter tout risque d‘incendie ou d‘électrocution,
ne l‘utilisez jamais où il pourrait être exposé à une source d‘eau ou la
lumière directe du soleil y compris sous les combles. Ne pas utiliser ce
produit à proximité de gaz inflammables ou de matières explosives.
Attention!
• Risque d’électrocution. Ne pas ouvrir. Aucune pièce réparable par l’utili-
sateur à l’intérieur.
• Circuits primaires de 220-240V @ so ou 60Hz (vérifiez la plaque signalé-
tique de l’appareil pour les détails sur l’alimentation appropriée).
• Le remplacement des démarreurs et des tubes peut être confiés à un
technicien qualifié uniquement.
• Rangez cet appareil à l’intérieur – Hors de portée des enfants.
• Pour maximiser la sécurité, débranchez cet appareil de l’alimentation
secteur lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé, avant de le réparer, lors du remplace-
ment des tubes, du nettoyage et autres circonstances similaires.
• Protégez le cordon – ne portez jamais l’appareil par le cordon et ne tirez
pas sur celui-ci pour retirer la fiche. Gardez le cordon à l’écart de la
chaleur, de l’huile et de tout élément pointu ou tranchant. Si le cordon est
endommagé, n’utilisez plus l’appareil. Faîtes remplacer le cordon par un
technicien qualifié.
• N’insérez aucun objet dans cet appareil
• N’installez jamais cet appareil à proximité de substances dangereuses
inflammables ou explosives pouvant se répandre dans l’air.
• Pour éviter l’électrocution, branchez uniquement la fiche d’alimentation à
une prise de terre.
• N’utilisez jamais de tubes UV-B ou UV-C dans cet appareil. Utilisez
uniquement les tubes UV-A fournis par le distributeur ou le fabricant.

1. Type d’appareil
Le dispositif anti-insectes électrique ECONOMY catcher est conçu pour un
usage intérieur uniquement. Cet appareil est doté de deux tubes à ultra-vi-
olets (UV-A) et d’une grille sous tension.
2. Enlèvement de l’emballage de l’appareil
Avant de quitter l’entrepôt de fabrication, chaque appareil est soigneuse-
ment emballé afin qu’il vous parvienne en
parfait état de fonctionnement. Veillez à bien retirer tous les éléments de
l’emballage avant d’installer votre appareil.The unit has two ultra-violet

3. Positionnement de l’appareil
L’attrait que les insectes volants portent à l’ECONOMY dépend en partie
de l’intensité lumineuse ambiante, qu’elle soit naturelle ou artificielle. Le
choix de l’emplacement de votre appareil est donc capital pour assurer une
efficacité optimale. Votre appareil devrait fonctionner nuit et jour lorsque
des insectes volants sont présents. Dans la mesure du possible, appliquez
les recommandations suivantes:
• Installez l’appareil au dessous du niveau de la tête, de préférence audes-
sus de la distance d’un bras tendu verticalement.
• Pour respecter la réglementation en vigueur concernant la sécurité et la
prévention des accidents sur les lieux de travail en hauteur, veillez à ce
que votre appareil reste toujours aisément accessible en toute sécurité
pour les tâches d’entretien et de nettoyage.
• Placez l’appareil aussi loin que possible de toute fenêtre afin de minimi-
ser l’attrait du soleil sur les insectes.
• Ne placez pas l’appareil directement audessus de nourriture exposée, de
surface de préparation alimentaire ou de chaînes de conditionnement.
• Ne suspendez pas l’appareil au-dessous de sources de chaleur ou de va-
peur car cela risquerait d’endommager l’isolation des câbles électriques.
• Placez toujours l’appareil hors de portée des enfants.
• N’INSTALLEZ JAMAIS CET APPAREIL A L’EXTÉRIEUR, dans des granges,
étables ou autres endroits similaires.
• Cet appareil peut être fixé sur une table/étagère mise à niveau.
• Assurez-vous qu’une prise d’alimentation appropriée se trouve à proxi-
mité de l’emplacement d’installation.

4.Assemblage & Methode de Fixation
Sélectionnez la méthode de fixation de votre choix, puis suivez les instruc-
tions ci-dessous:
Fixation murale
Repérez un emplacement approprié à la fixation murale de votre appareil
comme décrit section 3. Percez 2 trous à 38cm (15in) d’écart capables de
recevoir des chevilles No. 8. Insérez –y les deux chevilles fournies, puis
vissez les deux vis No. 8 jusqu’à 5mm de la surface. Suspendez l’appareil
à ces vis en prenant soin de vous assurer que les vis sont entièrement
insérées dans l’appareil et ne reposent pas uniquement sur la coque plas-
tique.
Fixation suspendue
Positionnez les deux oeillets de fixation sur la coque supérieure de l’ap-
pareil et maintenez-les en place à l’aide des vis fournies. Ne serrez pas
exagérément. Suspendez ensuite l’appareil aux oeillets de fixation à l’aide
d’une chaîne en métal ou d’une corde capable de supporter 5 fois le poids
de l’appareil.
Fixation auto-portée
Cet appareil incorpore des pieds permettant de le poser librement. Vous
pouvez par conséquent placer l’appareil sur une table, une étagère, une
surface de travail ou tout autre endroit similaire à condition qu’il n’existe
aucun risque que l’appareil puisse être renversé ; toute chute pourrait
endommager l’appareil.
Note. Assurez-vous que l’appareil puisse à tout moment être aisément
étreint et débranché pour le nettoyage ou l’entretien.
5.Branchement à une source d’alimentation
• Veuillez suivre les instructions suivantes:
• Vérifiez que la tension d’alimentation utilisée corresponde bien à celle de
l’appareil comme indiqué sur sa plaque signalétique.
• Branchez l’appareil à une prise secteur en utilisant la fiche et le cordon
fournis.
• Le branchement de l’appareil doit être fait à l’aide d’un câble de type
H05RN-F.
Le câble fourni est de ce type.
