1. Anchor the product to a rm structure using a telescopic pole or directly to
a standard anchor point. Use a carabiner to connect the “head” of the Bella to
the anchor point. Make sure the anchor is strong enough to support the loads
that might occur during a dynamic fall and that it is stable, structural element.
2. When using a pole – lift the pole up to the anchoring point, while the throw
bag and rope adapter stays on the ground. Make sure the hook which the
head is connected to is rmly attached to a part of the structure (beam or
rail). When using other methods of anchoring ( for example using a webbing
or sling wrapped around a structural element (beam or rail) after anchoring
and connecting the head, throw the bag so the tag line will reach the ground.
Lower the rope adapter to the ground.
3. Connect a rope/ladder/rescue kit to be lifted to the anchoring
point using a carabiner to the pin.
4. Pull the tagline until the rope adapter and the rope connected to it will reach
the head. Make sure the rope adapter nds its place inside the head and creat-
ed an anchor. Always check by pulling the rope or ladder before use.

Inspection Before & After Each Use:
Inadditiontothedetailedperiodicinspection,theBELLAmustbe
inspected before and after each use. Check all parts for cracks,
deformation, corrosion, wear, etc. and that the pins and springs
all move freely and function properly in every respect.The func-
tion of these parts must not be impaired by foreign matter such
as dirt, ice, corrosion, etc.
If any signs of signicant wear appear on the rubber foot pads,
replace it before using the anchor again. A replacement kit is
available from an authorized distributor.
Inspection During Use:
Regularly inspect and monitor your system, conrming the cor-
rectpositioningoftheBELLAandtensionagainstthesupporting
anchor.
Prevent any contact between the BELLA anchor and any
other objects that can interfere with the ability to arrest a fall, or
move it from its original placement.
Detailed Inspection:
In addition to inspection before, during and after each use, a
detailed inspection by a competent inspector must be done
at least every 12 months or more frequently depending on
amount and type of use, government regulations, and en-
vironmental conditions.
Make a copy of these instructions and use one as the perman-
ent inspection record and keep the other with the equipment.
It is recommended that a similar record is kept for all compo-
nents used in a system.
It is best to issue new gear to each user so they know its entire
history. Periodic detailed inspection shall use the same criteria
as inspection before and after each use. Additionally, periodic
inspection will verify legibility of product markings. User safety
depends upon the durability and correct function of the equip-
ment.
Maintenance & Storage:
Clean if necessary with fresh water, then allow to dry naturally
completelybeforestoring. If there isstilldirt in the movingparts
use air pressure to remove it. Light surface corrosion may be re-
moved with a wire brush (no power tools). Retire if corrosion is
heavy. Store or transport in a dry place away from extremes of
heat and cold and avoid exposure to chemicals.
Repairs or modications to equipment are only allowed by the
manufacturerorthoseauthorizedinwritingbythemanufacturer.
Retire from service immediately if the BELLA:
1. Arrests a fall or is signicantly loaded.
2.Does notpass inspection orthereisanydoubtabout itssafety.
3. Is misused, altered, damaged, exposed to harmful chemicals,

Do not return the BELLA to service unless it is inspected and
authorized by a person competent to do so. Consult the manu-
facturer if you have any doubts or concerns.
Anchorage Requirements:
Use and install the device only in the ways explained in this
manual; when using this product, be sure that it’s installed on
suitable structures with a minimum breaking strength of 12 kN:

equipment, be careful to always use combinations of items in
which the safe function of any one item will not aect and will
not interfere with the safe function of another.
When using this product, always use a means of limiting the
maximum dynamic forces exerted during the arrest of a fall to a
maximum of 6 kN (e.g. an energy absorber)
Whenusing this product arescueplan should beinplace to deal
with any emergencies that could arise.
Be sure that the work is always performed in the way to reduce
the potential of a fall and the potential fall distance, installing
your product properly. Verify the free space required beneath
the user at the workplace before each use so that in the case
of a fall, there will be no collision with ground or other obstacle

Bella parts –
BELLA is composed by three basic parts: the head (1), the pin (3)
and the connecting carabiner (8)
e Head (1) – connects to the structural anchor by the supplied
connecting carabineer.
e carabiner should be connected only to the hole on the upper
part of the head (2)
e pin (3) – connects the rope or ladder to the anchor, by
connecting into the head.

Tie the end so it can not be pulled out.
When installed correctly, pulling the rope should make the pin go up toward
the head and slide into the hole at the bottom of the head
until the two safety pins (7) are in place.
Checking the connection after the installation:
Make sure both pins are locked in place inside the head. (8)
Pull firmly the rope or ladder attached to the pin to make
sure the pin is locked inside the head.
Disassembly of the anchor
1. Make sure that no one is attached to the anchor.
2. Press the two pins (7) simultaneously to release the pin from the head.
3. Hold the rope and let the pin descent slowly to the ground.
4. Release the head from the anchor point.
