XS Dryer
An effective and surprisingly quiet hairdryer with an air flow
design to provide great effect. The amount of air is increased
with up to 25% compared to traditional hairdryers. XS Dryer is
created to give the best ergonomics, comfort and functionality
so that you are able to dry your hair – even on the go.

User’s manual
Before operating this HH Simonsen XS Dryer, please read
these instructions including the safety precautions carefully
and keep them for future reference.
Basic settings
Plug the hair dryer into the correct power supply. Select the
desired heat and airflow.
Position I: Low airflow and temperature for gentle drying.
Position II: High airflow and temperature for very quick
drying or temperature for high heat. Press ‘Cold Shot’
Button if cold air is desired. Aer use, switch off the dryer by
moving the Speed Setting Switch to the ‘OFF’ position before
unplugging from the power supply. Do not pull the cord. Grap
the plug, and pull it out gently.
General maintenance
Your dryer is almost maintenance-free. No lubrication is
necessary. Keep surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt and
hairspray. If cleaning is needed, make sure to plug off the
dryer, then wipe it with a moist cloth. If the cord is twisted,
un-twist it before using the dryer.
Other information
This dryer is equipped with a temperature control function for
safety reasons. This can automatically go into OFF-mode, if
the temperature exceeds the safety level due to blocked air
stream e.g. If the dryer stops during use, remove the plug
and allow it to cool. The thermostat will reset automatically.

When using electric appliances, especially when children are
present, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following.
Important
Never point the dryer directly at your face or hair for too long,
as the heat can cause burns. Always use a brush or fingers to
run through your hair during drying. Lean your head forward
so the hair hangs freely in order to avoid contact with your skin.
Hair
Heat is damaging to the hair’s structure. Therefore you should
always use good hair care products regularly if you dry your
hair oen. Hair should always be newly washed before
drying, as residue may be ‘burnt’ into the hair. Conditioner
or moisturizing treatments should be part of your daily hair
care routine.
Remove as much excess water with a towel as possible
before using the hair dryer.
Warning: keep away from water
As with most electrical appliances, contact with water is
dangerous, even when switched off.
To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:
1. Always unplug immediately aer using.
2. Do not use while bathing.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be
pulled into a tub or sink.
4. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.
5. If an appliance falls into the water, unplug it immediately.
Do not reach into the water.
6. Do not use the dryer when your hands are wet.
Warning: To reduce the risk of burns,
electrocution, fire, or injury:
1. When not in use, unplug it. Allow the appliance to cool and
store it in a safe, dry location.
2. This dryer is hot when in use. Do not let eyes and bare skin
touch heated surfaces.
3. Do not place the heated dryer directly on any surface while
it is hot or plugged in.
4. An appliance should never be le unattended when
plugged in.
5. Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is
used by, on, or near children or individuals with certain
disabilities.
6. Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in
this manual.
7. Do not use attachment(s) not recommended by the
manufacturer. Attachments (when furnished) may be hot
during use. Allow them to cool before handling.
8. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or
plug.
9. Never allow the power supply cord to be pulled, jerked,
strained, twisted, or severely bent, especially at the plug
connections. Damage will occur at the high flex point of
entry into the appliance, causing rupture and shortage.
Handle the cord carefully to ensure a long service life.
10.Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap
the cord around the appliance, as this may cause direct
damage to the cord.
