Halo Microchip Scanner
The Halo Microchip Scanner complies with ISO 11784 and ISO 11785 norms.
The Halo is Scanner Angel® compatible and is supplied with a USB lead for
charging the Halo’s internal rechargeable battery.
Recharging
Before using your Halo for the first time, it will need to be charged for 3½
hours.

Available Software
Depending on your application, there is a range of software available
including the Scanner Angel® software for the Halo which can be
downloaded from www.haloscanner.com. Please note there is no Mac OS
compatible software at the moment.
You do not need to install any software to use the Halo as a normal
traditional microchip scanner.

Scanning
To start your Halo Scanner, simply push the on/o symbol on the back
panel and release. The display will show “Halo Scanner Scanning” and the
scanner will emit a single beep. If no valid microchip is found within 20
seconds, then the display will show “No Tag Found” and the scanner will
again emit a single beep. To start scanning again just press the symbol
again. The Halo will automatically switch o after 50 seconds.
The Halo will also display the microchip’s temperature of compatible
temperature sensing microchips. The temperature will only be displayed if
the temperature is between 25°C and 43°C.
The outer surface of your Halo is the scanning area and when a valid
microchip is found the scanner will emit a double beep and the microchip
number will be shown on the display.
To review previously scanned numbers, wait until the unit has powered
down. Then press and hold the power button on the back for four seconds
and then release. To scroll through the list, press the power button once to
see the next number. To exit this mode, press and hold the power button for
four seconds and release.
Cleaning
Your Halo should never be immersed in liquid or placed in any sterilization
equipment. It can be wiped with an antibacterial wipe.

Disposal of products and used batteries
This symbol on the product and / or accompanying documents means
that used electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) should not be
mixed with general household waste. For proper treatment, recovery and
recycling, please take this product to designated recycling points where it
will be accepted free of charge. Alternatively, in some countries, you may
be able to return your products to your local retailer upon purchase of an
equivalent new product. Disposing of this product correctly will help save
valuable resources and prevent any potential negative eects on human
health and the environment, which could otherwise arise from inappropriate
waste handling.
Warranty
The Halo Scanner comes with a 2 year return to base warranty from the
date of purchase. The warranty is limited to any defects in materials
components or manufacture including any defects in workmanship under
normal use. Faults arising from misuse, neglect, disassembly are not covered
by this warranty.
If a fault arises which is covered by the warranty then the manufacturer will
either replace or repair the product free of charge at the manufacturer’s
discretion. In the event of requiring warranty support then the manufacturer
should be contacted in the first instance on info@idporte.com. Your statutory
rights are not aected.

Lecteur de puce électronique Halo
Le Lecteur de puce électronique Halo est conforme aux normes ISO 11784
et ISO 11785. Le Halo est compatible avec Scanner Angel® et fourni avec un
câble USB de charge de sa batterie rechargeable.
Rechargement
Avant d’utiliser votre Halo pour la première fois, il doit être chargé pendant 3
heures et demi.

Vous n’avez pas besoin d’installer de logiciel pour utiliser Halo comme un
simple lecteur de puce électronique.

Lecture
Pour allumer votre Lecteur Halo, appuyez simplement sur le symbole
de marche/arrêt situé derrière l’écran, puis relâchez. L’écran ache «Halo
Scanner Scanning» (Lecture du Halo) et le lecteur émet un seul bip sonore.
Si aucune puce électronique n’est trouvée dans les 20 secondes, l’écran
ache «No Tag Found» (Aucune balise trouvée) et le lecteur émet un
autre bip sonore. Pour eectuer une autre lecture, appuyez à nouveau sur le
symbole . Le Halo s’éteint automatiquement au bout de 50 secondes.
Le Halo ache également la température des puces électroniques avec
capteur de température. La température ne s’ache que si elle est comprise
entre 25°C et 43°C.
La surface extérieure du Halo sert à l’opération de lecture et si le lecteur
détecte une puce électronique, il émet un double bip sonore et le numéro
de la puce détectée s’ache à l’écran.
Pour revoir des numéros précédemment lus, attendez que l’appareil se
soit éteint. Puis appuyez sur le bouton de mise en marche pendant quatre
secondes avant de le relâcher. Pour visualiser cette liste, appuyez chaque
fois sur le bouton de mise en marche pour voir le numéro suivant. Pour
abandonner cette fonction, appuyez sur le bouton de mise en marche
pendant quatre secondes, puis relâchez-le.
Nettoyage
Ne plongez jamais votre Halo dans un liquide et ne le placez jamais dans
un appareil de stérilisation. Vous pouvez l’essuyer avec une lingette
antibactérienne.

Élimination de l’appareil et de ses batteries usagées
Ce symbole visible sur le produit et/ou sur sa notice d’instructions
signifie que les déchets d’équipements électriques et électroniques
(DEEE) ne doivent pas être mélangés aux ordures ménagères. Pour le
traitement, la récupération ou le recyclage du produit, veuillez le déposer
dans un point de collecte ou il sera accepté gratuitement. Dans certains
pays, il est également possible de remettre votre produit usagé au magasin
où vous achetez un produit neuf équivalent. L’élimination correcte de ce

Garantie
Le Lecteur Halo est garanti 2 ans à compter de sa date d’achat. La garantie
couvre tout défaut des matériaux de ses composants et tout défaut de
fabrication, y compris des défauts de fabrication qui se sont révélés suite
à une utilisation normale. La garantie ne couvre pas les défauts dus à une
mauvaise utilisation, à la négligence ou au démontage de l’appareil.
En cas de défaut couvert par la garantie, le fabricant choisira ou de
remplacer le produit ou de le réparer, à sa discrétion et gratuitement.
