The UCM630X is not pre-congured to support or carry
emergency calls to any type of hospital, law enforcement
agency, medical care unit (“Emergency Service(s)”) or
any other kind of Emergency Service. You must make ad-
ditional arrangements to access Emergency Services. It
is your responsibility to purchase SIP-compliant Internet
telephone service, properly congure the UCM630X to
use that service, and periodically test your conguration to
conrm that it works as you expect. If you do not do so, it is
your responsibility to purchase traditional wireless or land-
line telephone services to access Emergency Services.

OVERVIEW:
• Do not attempt to open, disassemble, or modify the device.
• Do not use a third party power adapter.
• Do not expose this device to temperatures outside the range of 32 -
113ºF / 0 ~ 45ºC for operating or 14 - 140ºF / -10 ~ 60ºC for storage.
• Do not expose this device to environment outside of the following hu-
midity range: 10-90% RH (non-condensing).
• Do not power cycle the device during system boot up or rmware
upgrade. You may corrupt rmware images and cause the unit to mal-
function.

The GNU GPL license terms are incorporated into the de-
vice rmware and can be accessed via the Web user inter-
face of the device at my_device_ip/gpl_license. It can also

CONNECTING THE UCM630X:
1. Connect one end of an RJ-45 Ethernet cable into the WAN port of the UC-
M630X.
2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable into the uplink port of an Ethernet
switch/hub.
3. Connect the 12V DC power adapter into the 12V DC power jack on the back
of the UCM630X. Insert the main plug of the power adapter into a surge-
protected power outlet.
4. Wait for the UCM630X to boot up. The front LCD display will show the UCM’s
hardware information when the boot process is completed.
5. Once the UCM630X is successfully connected to network via WAN port,
pressing the “Home“ button will allow you to get the IP address as well as
other information.
6. (Optional) Connect PSTN lines from the wall jack to the FXO ports, connect
analog devices (phone and fax) to the FXS ports.

• Press “Settings“ key to start browsing menu options.
• Press “Navigation Key” to browse dierent menu options. Press “OK” to select
an entry.
• In the menu option, select “Back” to go back to previous menu.
• The LCD will return to default display after being idle in menu for longer than
20 seconds.

CONFIGURING THE UCM630X VIA WEB GUI:
1. Connect the computer to the same network as the UCM630X.
2. Ensure the UCM630X is properly powered on then press the “Home“ button to
displays the IP address and other information on the LCD screen.
3. Open a web browser on the computer and enter the displayed IP address into
the search bar in the following format: http(s)://ipaddress:portnumber
4. Enter admin’s username and password to access the conguration menu.
(The factory default username is “admin” while the default random password
can be found on the sticker at the back of the unit).
Note: The number of FXS, FXO and USB ports depends on the UCM630x model.

U.S. FCC Part 68 Regulatory Information
This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules. Located on the equipment is a label
that contains, among other information, the ACTA registration number and ringer equivalence
number (REN.) If requested, this information must be provided to the telephone company.
The REN is used to determine the quantity of devices which may be connected to the
telephone line. Excessive REN’s on the telephone line may result in the devices not ringing in
response to an incoming call. In most, but not all areas, the sum of the REN’s should not
exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices that may be connected to the line, as
determined by the total REN’s contact the telephone company to determine the maximum
REN for the calling area.
This equipment cannot be used on the telephone company-provided coin service. Connection
to Party Line Service is subject to State Tariffs.
If this equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company will notify you
in advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be required. If advance notice isn’t
practical, the telephone company will notify the customer as soon as possible. Also, you will
be advised of your right the file a complaint with the FCC if you believe it is necessary.
The telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, operations, or
procedures that could affect the operation of the equipment. If this happens, the telephone
company will provide advance notice in order for you to make the necessary modifications in
order to maintain uninterrupted service.
If the trouble is causing harm to the telephone network, the telephone company may request
you to remove the equipment from the network until the problem is resolved.
This equipment uses the following USOC jacks: RJ45C.
It is recommended that the customer install an AC surge arrester in the AC outlet to which this
device is connected. This is to avoid damaging the equipment caused by local lightening
strikes and other electrical surges.
Since this device has the HAC function, the earpiece is easy to absorb small, please take care
to avoid scratching.
