10. Assembly Instructions

Warning!

Secure the electric connection with an earth leakage circuit breaker (RCD).

Failure to observe can mean risk of death or material damage, e. g. from electric

shock or fire.

Warning!

Operate this valve only in conjunction with the correct grit filter.

Failure to observe can lead to a damaged fitting.

☞Important!

Before installing, flush the pipes in compliance with DIN 1988.

The water outlet of the fitting must always be kept free. Do not use an aerator.

☞To protect the tiles, use masking tape when marking and drilling. Drill at low speed.

Depending on the composition of the wall, special wall dowels may have to be used

(to be provided by the customer).

10.1

The corner valves (a) must be provided by the customer.

10.2

Installing the hot water heater

☞Observe the operating instructions for the hot water heater.

☞When installing a new socket outlet, take into account the length of the power cable

of the hot water heater.

10.3

Install the fitting (b) on the washbasin (c).

10.4

Place the flow rate regulator (g) into the connector piece (f).

10.5

Place the seal (e) on the connector piece (f).

Screw the water supply hose (d) on to the connector piece (f). Loosen the connector

piece by unscrewing it 1-2 turns.

10.6

Connect the hoses between the hot water heater and the fitting.

1 Cold water (blue)

2 Hot water (red)

10.7

Place the grit filter (3) on the corner valve.

10.8

Screw the connection piece on to the corner valve.

10.9

Screw the water supply hose on to the connector piece.

10.10

Insert the power plug in the socket.

Connect the cable between the fitting and the power supply.

11. Commissioning

11.1

Open the water supply.

Caution!

First fill the hot water heater tank.

11.2

Insert the power plug in the socket.

☞Observe the operating instructions for the hot water heater.

The outlet temperature of the hot water heater is limited to approx 40°C.

11.3

FAR Order No. 2000067624: Set the fitting to max. temperature position.

11.4

Fill the hot water heater tank.

When water starts flowing out of the fitting, the hot water heater tank is full.

12. Function

12.1

Allow your hand to approach the sensor.

• Water flows.

12.2

Remove your hand from the sensor.

• Water flow stops automatically after a set flow duration.

☞The range of the sensor and the flow duration can be adjusted with the optional

remote control (FAR Order No. 2000101087).

☞Important!

Reflecting surfaces can influence the sensor. There is a risk of having permanent

reflections (see Chapter 13. for adjusting the sensor range).

“Auto-flush” function

Caution!

When the “Auto flush” function is used, the flow of water must be ensured.

• The "Auto-flush" function ensures that forced flushing takes place to exchange the

water in the tap lines after 24 or 72 hours of non-use.

• The “Auto-flush” function can only be switched on with the optional remote control

(FAR-Order-No. 2000101087).

• This function is switched off at the factory.

13. Programmable function parameters

The optional remote control FAR-Order-No. 2000101087 offers the following

functions:

– Range can be set (3-20 cm)

– Turn-off delay can be set (0-10 s)

– Continuous flow can be switched between 3.5 min and 11 min.

– Fitting can be switched off

– Basic settings can be restored

– Test mode for simulation without water

– Automatic safety switch-off can be adjusted (2–210 s)

– Automatic flushing can be activated

☞Important!

Reflecting surfaces can influence the sensor. There is a risk of having permanent

reflections. The range must be reduced for installations on reflecting surfaces such

as stainless steel washbasins. If this is not sufficient, an additional base/spacing ring

is available (see Chapter 20.).

14. Maintenance and Servicing

Depending on the quality of the water, the local conditions and the rules and

regulations applicable on site, the fitting must be maintained and serviced at regular

intervals.

Perform maintenance on the following components:

• Jet controller (see Chapter 15.)

• Filters (see Chapter 16.)

• Flow rate regulator (see Chapter 17.)

Properly use suitable cleaning agents that are not harmful to the fittings and rinse

with water after use. High-pressure cleaners must not be used for cleaning.

14.1

Push up the cleaning clip (a) in front of the sensor.

The fitting is in sleep mode.

15. Replacing the Jet Controller

15.1

Use the special wrench (a; FAR Order No. 2000105960) to unscrew and remove the

anti-theft jet controller (b).
