The purpose of ths user manual s to present the use and mantenance nstructons of

NEFFES Ar Purfers to the user.

Please read the safety warnngs carefully and keep the manual for future reference to

smoothly operate the NEFFES Ar Purfer you purchased.

WARNINGS AND SAFETY MEASURES

lDon’t disassemble, repair or modify the device without authorization. Otherwise, it may

cause failure or danger. Unauthorized modification may result in fire or breakdown.

lThe devices are intended for indoor use only.

lIt should be used under appropriate conditions in accordance with its technical specifi-

cations and design purposes.

lAny non-original spare parts should not be used for the device.

lThe input voltage must not exceed the rated voltage. Otherwise, it may result in fire or

breakdown.

lDon’t use the device for removing soot or ventilation in kitchen. Otherwise the service

life of the filters may be shortened and the machine may be damaged.

lWhen using pesticide, stop the machine first to prevent any chemicals from being sucked

in. Otherwise the chemicals may accumulate inside the device and generate a pungent

and hazardous substance under certain circumstances.

lDon’t sit or stand on the device or shake it. Otherwise, the device may breakdown.

lDon’t use the device to remove toxic substance such as carbon dioxide and silicon gas.

lDon’t use the device at heavily smoky or dusty place (e.g. kitchen) or where flammable

gases or metal dusts may be present. Otherwise, fire or failure may occur.

lDon’t use solvent like alcohol or diluting agents to clean the air purifier.

lThe packaging used in your product is recyclable. Dispose the packaging of your product

separately in accordance with the local official regulations to ensure it to be recycled.

lPlease pay attention to the transport warnings and signs on the device package.

lDo not carry the device alone during handling.

lProtect it from excess vibration and shock.

lImproper operations (installation, assembly, adjustment, modification, service and

maintenance) may result in injuries or material damage. Read this manual carefully for

assistance and consult with service personnel if you need further information.

lIt should not be used by children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge.

lMake sure that there is no obstacle in front of air suction holes at the bottom while the

device is running.

lDo not put any cover or object on the device, which may cover its blowing nozzles.

lDo not insert your fingers or foreign objects through the blowing nozzles of the device.

lDo not install the device in a humid, wet or steamy (such as bathroom) place. Do not

operate the device with damp or wet hands. Otherwise, this may cause electric shock

or damage.

lAvoid bending, stretching, or placing objects on the power cable, which may damage it.

lDo not use damaged power cords or deformed plugs. Using damaged power cords or

plugs may cause short circuit, electric shock, or fire.

lIf the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced to avoid dangerous situations.

lDisconnect the device from power supply if you are not to use it for a long time or before

you transport it.

lAlways disconnect the device from power supply before any cleaning, maintenance and

filter replacement operations.

GENERAL INFORMATION

NEFFES Ar Purfer traps 99.95% of partcles larger than 0.3 mcrons n the ar, thanks to

the flters nsde t.

NEFFES enhances the ndoor ar qualty, elmnatng the harmful partcles n the ar such

as dust, bactera, vrus, germ, mold, pollen, mte, pet allergens as well as odor and smoke.

It s especally effectve n provdng a healthy and safe ar envronment n areas such as

offces, restaurants, hosptals, hotels, cafeteras, lbrares, sports halls, kndergartens,

schools, publc buldngs wth a hgh densty of people.

The body of the devce s made of galvanzed sheet resstant to corroson and heavy workng

condtons, and s coated wth electrostatc powder pant.

The devce has hgh-effcency and speed-controlled EC motor fans. The EC motors ncre-

ase the energy effcency of the devce, provdng energy savngs. The fan can be operated

at 5 dfferent speeds va the control panel.

The Neffes Ar Purfer has a 4-stage fltraton system.

The antmc coated cassette type pre-flter has a hgh dust holdng capacty. It can be easly

replaced thanks to ts washable and sldng system.

HEPA flters can trap at least 99.95% of partcles larger accordng to the EN1822 standard.

It flters partcles such as bactera, vruses, germs, mold that pass through the pre-flter.

The casette-type actvated carbon flter removes cgarette smoke, food and smlar unple-

asant smell. It neutralzes over 90% of chemcal gases such as formaldehyde, hydrogen

sulfde, ammona and benzene.

The UV-C lamp s effectve n removng mcroorgansms. UV-C rays n the wavelength range

of 254nm damage the DNA/RNA chans of mcroorgansms, stoppng all ther actvtes and

neutralzng them.

DESCRIPTION OF COMPONENTS

HANDLING

If the devces are to be handled manually, ths should be performed by at least two persons.

If they are to be handled through pallets, they should be preferably postoned vertcally

sde-by-sde. If the devces are to be handled n a vertcally stacked poston, the maxmum

number of devces to stacked on top of each other should be maxmum 3 for NFS-400-U

model, and 2 for NFS-1000-U.

The devces should be properly fxed aganst fallng and tppng before and durng handlng,

and necessary protectve measures should be taken.

Note: Droppng the NEFFES ar purfer to the ground may cause a balance problem n the

fans and make the devce unusable, even f the devce body s not damaged. Ths wll make

the devce out of warranty.

STORAGE

If the devces are to be kept for assembly or stored, they should not be removed from ther

boxes and stored n ther boxes.

They should be stacked vertcally sde-by-sde. If the devces are to be handled n a vert-

cally stacked poston, the maxmum number of devces to stacked on top of each other

should be maxmum 3 for NFS-400-U model, and 2 for NFS-1000-U.

Durng storage, the devces should be protected from external weather condtons and

should not be placed on a damp and wet ground.

LAYOUT AND INSTALLATION OF THE DEVICE

The devce s especally effectve n provdng a healthy and safe ar envronment n areas

such as offces, restaurants, hosptals, hotels, cafeteras, lbrares, sports halls, kndergar-

tens, schools, publc buldngs wth a hgh densty of people.

To get maxmum effcency from the devce, place t n the mddle rather than wall corners

n the place where t wll be postoned. If you place near a wall, poston t at least 20 cm

away from the wall. Never close the top and ar vents of the devce.

Necessary health and safety measures should be taken durng handlng and assembly of

the devce.

Make sure that there s no mssng or damaged parts before the assembly.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Always dsconnect the devce from power supply before cleanng.

Regular mantenance wll prevent unexpected breakdowns and performance losses n the

devce.

The flters become drty over tme, reducng ar flow and causng performance loss. There-

fore, t s mportant to replace or clean the flters regularly.

General Cleaning

Always dsconnect the devce from power supply before cleanng.

The external body of the devce may be cleaned wth a slghtly most cloth as requred.

Abrasve cleanng agents should not be used.

Attenton should be pad to prevent the mosture from reachng the nteror surface of the

devce.

Filters

The devce must not be run wthout flter. The flters must be completely attached to the

devce after a cleanng or replacement operaton.

The flters must be replaced by the servce.

Always dsconnect the devce from power supply before a flter cleanng or replacement

operaton.

Always use a protectve gloves and mask when replacng

the flters.

Do not dspose them wth domestc wastes. The waste

flters must be dsposed safely. Ask for help from our

servce teams for necessary techncal support.

Pre-Flter: When the pre-flter replacement ndcator s

on, the flter should be cleaned or replaced.

Tme to flters to get drty may vary by the envronment

where t s used and the frequency of use.

Dsconnect the devce from power supply, open the servce panel and the remove the flter

by pullng t to yourself.

If there s accumulated dust or foregn substances on the flter, wash t by hand wth warm

water. Do not attach the flter untl you make sure that t s completely dred.

Actvated Carbon Flter: Actvate carbon flters are unclea-

nable by ther nature.

They should be replaced once a year dependng on the env-

ronment where t s used and the frequency of use.

Dsconnect the devce from power supply, open the servce

panel and the remove the flter by pullng t to yourself and

attach the new one. Then, close the servce panel.

Hepa Flter: When the hepa flter replacement ndcator s

on, the flter should be replaced.

Tme to flters to get drty may vary by the envronment

where t s used and the frequency of use.

Dsconnect the devce from power supply, open the servce

panel, carefully loosen the clps holdng the hepa flter

and remove t by holdng from ts front secton and lftng

upward.

Place the new flter nto the frame and tghten the clps.

Then, close the servce panel.

Snce hepa flters trap vruses and bactera, the used ones

may contan harmful partcles. After the flters are removed

usng necessary protectve equpment, they should be put

n a trash bag whch should be tghtly sealed. Then, ths

trash bag should be put n another trash bag and tghtly

sealed. The date and tme of ths process should be wrtten

on the bag wth a non-erasable pen. After 72 hours, the bag

contanng the flter can be dsposed wth domestc wastes.

However, f the flters are not subjected to ths process, they

should be regarded as medcal waste and dsposed accor-

dngly.

Make sure that the new hepa flter s properly ft n the flter frame. Otherwse, the devce wll

not operate properly. The junked flters should be dsposed properly and safely.

UV-C Lamp: The UV-C lamp should not be touched wth

bare hands.

When the lamp replacement ndcator s on, the UV-C lamp

should be replaced. Dsconnect the devce from power supply,

open the servce panel and carefully remove the UV-C lamp

from ts holder.

Carefully wpe the UV-C lamp wth a clean cloth once a month

to mprove ts effcency. Vnegar may be used for mneral

deposts, pure alcohol for most organc resdues and a lnt-

free cloth for ol. Commonly used cleaners whch do not leave

any resdue wll work.

Snce UV-C lamps contan mercury, they should not be dsposed wth domestc wastes. The

lamps whose lfetme s expred must be dsposed wth 20 01 21* code or sent to a recycle plant

n accordance wth the Envronment Law No. 2872 and the Regulaton on Waste Management

dated 02.04.2015 and numbered 29314.

DEVICE FUNCTIONS

1. On/Off

Connect the devce to a power supply and press “ON/OFF” button on the control panel. The

devce wll start runnng wth the fan n the 1st stage.

When the devce starts to run, the UV-C lamp wll be n closed poston.

Press the “UV-C” button n the keypad to turn on the lamp. When the lamp s on, the led

near the “UV-C” lamp wll turn on.

2. Speed Selection

The devce has 5 dfferent speed settngs.

Each tme you press the “FAN SPEED” button on the keypad on the devce, the fan speed

wll up to the next level and the LEDs wll lght up one by one. For example, when the devce

s n the 3rd speed stage, all the 3 LEDs wll lght up.

When the fan s n the last stage, f the button s pressed once, the fan speed wll swtch to

the 1st stage.

When the devce works agan after a power outage, t wll resume the prevous mode.

3. Alarms

The devce has 3 alarms.

“PRE-FILTER” alarm; Ths s a tme-adjusted alarm and gves a flter replacement alarm

after 1000 workng hours under average polluton condtons.

Press and hold the “FAN SPEED” button for 5 seconds to reset ths warnng after you clean

or replace the flter. Then, the warnng lght wll off.

“HEPA” alarm; It s on when the hepa flter gets drty so as to affect the devce performance.

When you change the hepa flter, the flter dfferental pressure sensor wll detect t and the

warnng lght wll off.

“LAMP” alarm; Ths s a tme-adjusted alarm and gves alarm after the lfetme of UV-C

lamp (8000 hours) s expred. Press and hold the “UV-C” button for 5 seconds to reset ths

warnng after you replace the UV-C lamp. Then, the warnng lght wll off.
