Fantasea BlueRay Radiant Video Light
(Cat. No. 6041)
Instruction Manual
The BlueRay Radiant Video Light is a
durable and powerful video light,
designed to significantly enhance
color and light in your underwater
videos and still images. Featuring an
ergonomic design and durable
construction, the BlueRay Radiant
Video Light can be comfortably
integrated into any underwater photo
system, such as with action cams,
amphibious cameras, compact digital housings and more. A battery power indicator light around
the power switch enables easy monitoring of the battery power. The light makes use of 3 powerful
LEDs, which provide an ultra bright, even and wide output. A wide beam angle of 110 degrees
makes the BlueRay Radiant suitable to light a wide range of compositions. A 3-level adjustable
power output allows controlling the intensity of the beam in various compositions and diving
conditions, as well as extending the burn time of the light. Color temperature of the beam is warm
and assists with producing vivid and colorful videos and still images without having to use any color
correction filters. Depth rated to 100 meters/330 feet, the BlueRay Radiant Video Light fulfills the
needs of both recreational and technical divers.

batteries inside the BlueRay Radiant Video Light:
i. Only 2 x 18650 rechargeable 3.7-volt Li-Ion batteries should be installed inside
the light.
ii. Make sure that the 18650 batteries you install inside the light feature a
protective circuit board (PCB). 18650 batteries with a protective circuit board
are also known as 19670.
iii. Warning! Installation of CR123 batteries inside the light is strictly forbidden, as
this will burn out the light and may cause irreparable damage.
iv. Warning! Lithium-ion batteries can explode or cause a fire if they are used
incorrectly or if they are defective. Therefore, you are recommended to read
the following instructions very carefully:
1) Each time before using the battery, carefully check the battery and in
particular the protective seal/casing to make sure that it is undamaged and
intact. If in doubt, take the battery to a chemical waste disposal facility.
2) Always handle the battery with care. Never drop the battery!
3) Store the battery in a safe and dry place and keep the battery away from
all metal objects.
4) Never expose the battery to temperatures above 100 degrees Celsius.

note that batteries should be installed with their positive ends pointed towards the LED
head.
d. Re-install the LED head on the opening, carefully aligning it with the thread on the body of
the light and tightening it evenly in a counterclockwise fashion all the way to the end. Do
not use force and do not allow it to screw down unevenly.
e. It is recommended to occasionally apply a slight amount of silicone grease to the black O-
ring seals found below the threads of the body of the light prior to replacing the LED head.
f. Install the hand lanyard on the light by inserting it through the Hand Lanyard Insert Slot on
the back of the light, then pulling it through itself and testing it in order to make sure it is
secure.
B. Turning the BlueRay Radiant Video Light On/Off
a. In order to switch the light on, push and hold the power switch button for a second. Take
special care not to stare into the light beam or shine it into the eyes of anyone else,
because the light is powerful and could damage ones’ eyes.
b. When the BlueRay Radiant Video Light is turned on, the colorful light around the power
switch button serves as a battery indicator and shows the battery charge level:
i. Green (100%-60% power)

iii. Red (30%-15% power)
iv. Flashing Red (15%-1% power)
c. In order to switch the light back off, push and hold the power switch button for 3 seconds.
The light flashes 3 times and then turns off.
d. Note that the BlueRay Radiant Video Light features 3 power output modes in the following
order: 100% power output, 50% power output and 30% power output. Once the light is
turned on, in order to switch between the power output modes, simply push the power
switch button. Each time the power switch is pushed, the power mode is altered according
to the order of power modes as listed above.
C. Mounting the BlueRay Radiant Video Light on an Arm
a. An optional BlueRay YS Mount A (Cat. No. 4028) enables mounting the BlueRay Radiant
Video Light on any arm or connector that features a standard YS Mount at the top, such as
on Fantasea Flex Arms.

slight amount of silicone grease on the two O-rings featured on the interior of the YS
Mount without removing them. This will allow for a smoother installation.
c. Remove the hand lanyard from the light.
d. Install the YS Mount by sliding it on the body of the light, starting from its rear end and all
the way towards the LED head, till it reaches a widening and can no longer be slid forward.
e. If you want to re-install the hand lanyard on the back on the light, then you can do this
now.
f. Remove the screw from the bottom of the YS Mount by unscrewing it all the way out.
g. Position the BlueRay Radiant Video Light over the arm so that the YS Mount on top of the
arm is aligned with the YS Mount at the bottom of the LED light.
