CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX Eternal Lighting November 2015

The CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX is a DMX intelligent LED par light rated for outdoor use.

Unpacking: Thank you for purchasing the CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX light fixture. Every CUBEecho™ IP65

HEX been thoroughly tested and has been shipped in perfect operating condition. Carefully check the

shipping carton for damage that may have occurred during shipping. If the carton appears to be damaged,

carefully inspect your fixture for any damage and be sure all accessories necessary to operate the unit has

arrived intact. In the case damage has been found or parts are missing, please contact the manufacturer

or your dealer for further instructions. Do not return this unit to your dealer without first contacting

them.

Contents in each package: (1) CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX, (1) power cord, (1) Bracket Set, (2) knobs, (6)

washers.

How to put on the bracket: Use 2 washers for each side of the bracket. Save the other 2 washers for

replacements/spares. Put 1 washer on each knob, put knob through the bracket hole(s) and put the

other 1 washer on the other side. Twist knob(s) to the fixture to tighten.

CHARGE YOUR FIXTURE(S) FOR 6-8 HOURS BEFORE EACH USE.Carefully twist off the

cap for the power input. Securely, plug the power cord in the Power Input on the bottom of the light

fixture, and then plug into the charging road case (keeping the lid open while charging) or plug into a

powerstrip connected to a wall outlet that supports 100-220V/50-60Hz. On the top of the fixture, the

Battery Charge Indicator will illuminate Red while charging or illuminate Green when fully charged. If

the fixture turns on when plugged in to charge, turn off the fixture. To do this, press the Menu button

once to activate the display, then press and hold the Up and Enter button at the same time for 10 seconds.

When you release buttons the CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX will now be off. Please visually verify the light is off.

NOTE: The CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX battery will fully discharge after each use. For example a fully charged

light will discharge in the off setting as described above after 5 days, gradually about 20% per day. This is

an important design feature to lengthen the life of the battery. Remember to charge the fixtures before

each use to ensure the fixture is fully charged before event use.

Caution: Never leave lighting fixtures charging unattended.

Caution: There are no user serviceable parts inside this unit. Do not attempt any repairs yourself; doing

so will void your manufactures warranty. In the unlikely event your unit may require service please

contact the manufacturer or your dealer.

How Long Does the Battery Last?

The CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX will last up to 17 hours on a single full charge. It will depend on which LED

colors and how many LED colors are being used and will depend on the intensity level (0-255) scale. The

(0-255) scale you see on the push button display is directly related to the 0-255 scale you are using with a

DMX controller or DMX software.

Example:

Full Red (255) will go about 17 hours

Full Green (255) will go about 14 hours

Full Blue (255) will go about 13 hours

Full White (255) will go about 14 hours

Full Amber (255) will go about 17 hours

Full UV (255) will go about 13 hours

With that being said once you color mix and you use the before stated run times of each color and average

the estimated run time you will be able to calculate about how long a battery with a full charge should

last.

For Example:

2 Colors at Full - Red (255) + Green (255) will go about 7 hours.

3 Colors at Full –Red (255) + Green (255) + Amber (255) will go about 5 hours.

Note: With Color mixing 6in1 RGBWA+UV High Powered 18Watt LEDs. You will find that you typically

only need to mix only 2 or 3 main colors to achieve the desired color.

Keep in mind that a single color at FULL (255) is bright enough so when color mixing…to achieve longer

battery run times, try the following: instead of making the color “Purple” by way of Red (255) + Blue 255)

which will give you about 7.5 hours. Try making “Purple” by way of Red (127) + Blue (128) which will

equal “Purple” (127+128 = 255) which will give you about 14 hours. This will be half as bright as before

at full intensity. However, you will get almost double the battery run time.

Operation Guide: Turn on the fixture by battery or by plugging the power cord into the power input. To

turn on by battery or by power cord, press and hold the Menu and the Down button at the same time for

10 seconds. To turn off the fixture, press the Menu button once to activate the display. Press and hold

the Up and Enter button at the same time for 10 seconds.

Menu:

Addr: DMX Address –Press Enter, then press Up or Down to choose from DMX Address 001-512.

Press Enter to save the command.

Chnd: Channel Mode –Press Enter, then press Up or Down to choose from channel

3/4/5/6/8/8A/11/13. Press Enter to save the command.

nanu: Press Enter, Red will be on the display, press Enter again to adjust 0-255 brightness by

pressing Up or Down. Press Enter to save and press Up to go to Green, Blue, White, Amber, UV.

Adjust from 0-255 to make a custom color. Your custom color will be saved here in nanu.

Shnd: Color, Auto, Fade - Press Enter, then press Up or Down to choose Color, Auto, or Fade.

Press Enter to select choice.

oColor - press Up or Down to choose pre-set color 1-50.

oAuto - press Up or Down to choose the speed of the Auto change of colors. Slow (1) to Fast (8).

oFade –press Up or Down to choose Fade 1 through 10. Fast (1) to slow (10).

SLnd: Master/Slave –Press Enter, then press Up or Down to change the command of Master

(nast) or Slave (SLAu). Enter to save the command. (NOTE: In order to use the IR Remote, put the

CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX in Master Mode. The CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX will not respond to the IR

Remote if it is in Slave Mode.)

UE 1.0: Press Enter to see how long the fixture has been on since turning it on. Press Enter again

to see the total lifetime run hours.

btcc: Battery Percentage Indicator –Press Enter to see the battery percentage indicator. This is

an indicator of the percentage left on the battery on the fixture. Note: the fixture will turn off

anywhere from 10-35% on the btcc.

Ir: IR Remote –Press Enter, then press Up or Down to turn On or Off the IR sensor.

UIrE: Wireless Receiver –Press Enter, then press Up or Down to turn on (U-On) or turn off (U-

OF) the wireless receiver.

Id: Wireless ID Code Selector –Press Enter, then press Up or Down to choose the ID Code. Red

(1), Green (2), Yellow (3), Blue (4), Purple (5), Cyan (6), White (7).

node: Mode (6in1) or (5in1) –Press Enter, then press Up or Down to choose 6in1 (RGBWA+UV)

or 5in1 (RGBWA) mode.

Master/Slave- Have one fixture in Master Mode and the rest of the fixtures in Slave Mode. Turn on the

Wireless Receiver and put all fixtures on same Wireless ID Code Color. You now control the Master

fixture and all the Slave fixtures will do what the Master is doing. On the Master fixture, the display will

have one solid red dot and one blinking red dot.

How to use the XT-Mitter PRO 3.0 with your lights: To operate the XT-Mitter PRO 3.0, you must

connect the XT-Mitter Pro 3.0 with a DMX cable to a DMX Controller.

To sync the CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX to your XT-Mitter PRO 3.0 transmitter, select the same Wireless ID

Code color on all the CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX(s) and select the ID on the XT-Mitter PRO 3.0 to correspond to

the color. Reference the chart below. Note: Transmitter ID 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E & F is inactive. Only Select 1-

7 to coordinate with the Receiver Color on your fixture.

Transmission Power Level on XT-Mitter PRO 3.0: Displays current transmission power (1) 2dBm

(Lowest), (2) 8dBm, (3) 14dBm, or (4) 20dBm (Highest). To change the transmission power level, use

the “PA” button located on the front panel. Recommended is P4.

The XT-Mitter PRO will start blinking RED (meaning transmitting signal) and all the Slave fixture(s) will

start blinking GREEN (meaning receiving signal). You will have up to 300 feet, line of sight of

communication with your XT-Mitter PRO and the CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX IP65. Please reference the DMX

chart below for information on the Channel Mode programs.

Infrared remote control: SKU IR Remote Plus (Sold Separately)

To use the IR Remote Plus control on the CUBEecho™ IP65 HEX, first ENABLE the IR located in the MENU

selection. Also, turn the fixture into a MASTER. To control the fixture you must aim the remote at the

infrared sensor located on the top of the fixture by the LEDs.
