more pleasant and enjoyable. Safety, performance, and dependability have been given
top priority in the design of this product making it easy to maintain and operate.

WARNING: The operation of any power tools can result in
foreign objects being thrown into your eyes, which can result in
severe eye damage. Before beginning power tool operation, always
wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields and a full
face shield when needed. We recommend a Wide Vision Safety Mask
for use over eyeglasses or standard safety glasses with side shields. Always use eye
protection which is marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. This manual contains important instructions for Models
CH1800/CH1800-FC that shall be followed during installation and maintenance of the
solar charging adaptor.
Before using the solar charging adaptor, read all instructions and cautionary
markings on the solar charging adaptor, the battery and the product using battery.
WARNING: When using electric appliances, basic precautions should always be
followed, including the following.
Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks, which may ignite the
dust or fumes.
To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when an appliance is
used near children.
Only use attachments recommended or sold by manufacturer.
For a portable appliance – To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put
charger in water or other liquid. Do not place or store appliance where or can fall
or be pulled into a tub or sink.
The solar charging adaptor can only work with 12V Solar Panel with MC4
connectors. Do not exceed 22V input for the solar charging adaptor. Doing so
can cause serious damage to the solar charging adaptor and potential bodily
injury. Check voltages when using third party solar panels with this solar charging
adaptor. Do not chain solar panels in series (positive to negative, positive to
negative, etc.), as this can result in dangerously high voltages.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of injury, charge only EGO 56V lithium-ion
rechargeable batteries. Other types of batteries may burst, causing personal injury or
damage.
Have your solar charging adaptor serviced by a qualied repair person using only
identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is
maintained.

OPERATION
The solar charging adaptor is designed to be powered by a 12V solar panel with MC4
connectors (not included) and charge the battery pack when no AC power is available
outdoors. It cannot work independently, and must work with the EGO Nexus power
station to charge the battery pack.
WARNING: The solar charging adaptor can only work with 12V Solar Panel with
MC4 connectors. Do not exceed 22V input for the solar charging adaptor. Doing so can
cause serious damage to the solar charging adaptor and potential bodily injury. Check
