Safety Precautions
User is required to comply with safety precautions while operating Do-
Cash vacuum packaging machine:
Before starting the machine, please fill in the oil into the vacuum pump
in the machine.
Effect any service activity only after the power supply cable is
disconnected from the outlet!
If the vacuum packaging machine was transported and stored un-
der low temperature conditions, it is required to keep it at least two hours
indoors before switching on.
To avoid break-off or damage of the cable, it is required to hold on
the power supply plug while inserting it in the socket and pulling out.
Also avoid such actions when your hands are wet - it may cause an elec-
tric shock.
Running water must not be used to wash the machine
Note
Please read this manual carefully before you start to operate the vacuum
packaging machine.
Note
It is forbidden to use the vacuum packaging machine without oil in the
pump. In standard delivery, pumps are not filled with oil. Oil is included
in complete set.
Note
Neutral earthing has been applied as an additional protection against
electrocution.

Purpose of the vacuum packaging machine
DoCash 2240/ DoCash 2241 vacuum packaging machine is a single-
chamber machine made of stainless steel used for vacuum packing of
banknotes and securities.
Vacuum packed banknotes and documents are protected against humid-
ity and wetting, dirt and dust. Plastic film package is transparent and
the marking strip allows for product description (e.g. institution name).
The marking strip is inserted in the pressure strip guide on the machine
cover. The strip can be easily replaced.
The vacuum packer operates automatically. Vacuum level and welding
time can be adjusted.

may not include later alterations.

the help of the control panel.

Vacuum unit
The vacuum unit allows for the chamber to be pumped out thus emptying
the bags placed into it, as well as the chamber re-aeration at the end of
the cycle.
Welding unit
The welding unit allows sealing bags by welding polyethylene film.
The welding unit consists of:
welding bar,
pressure strip with cliche,
welding strip supply transformer.
The welding assembly is equipped with Teflon adhesive tape and NiCr
wire.
Power supply
Power supply scheme is described in the service documentation of the de-
vice and is subject to be studied by service engineers who carry out re-
pairs.

Operation
Once the machine is unpacked completeness of delivery against the
documents supplied must be checked. Should any discrepancies be
discovered, a report should be made and sent out to your supplier.
How to prepare the machine for operation
1. Remove the machine from its base.
Lift the machine up and remove it from the base. Put the machine on
a flat horizontal surface.
If the surface is inclined, the machine should be levelled. Remove all
protective material like polystyrene foam pieces, paper, hardboard,
etc. from the chamber.
During installation, pay attention to leaving some space around the
machine. This will provide ventilation and avoid overheating.
2. Before starting up the machine, please fill oil into the vacuum
pump. (See " Oil Pump—Filling with oil")
3. Connect the machine to power supply.
Once it is connected to the system, turn the machine using the main
switch located on the front panel.
Note
The machine is rather heavy.
Note
It is forbidden to use the vacuum packaging machine without oil in
the pump.
In standard delivery, pumps are not filled with oil.
Oil is included in complete set.
