Hazard for children and a wider group of persons
zThis device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental abilities or lacking experience and/or knowledge, unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions for use
of the device from this person in advance.
zSupervise your children in order to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
zKeep packaging bags and films away from babies and small children; there is a risk of
suffocation!
Hazard from electricity
zThe base and power cable must not be immersed in water or other liquids. Electrical
shock hazard! Therefore, also do not use the kettle in the vicinity of moisture sources,
e.g. a sink.
zThe kettle is filled with water, but must not be immersed in water itself. Water must
not come into contact with the electric parts in the bottom section and with the base.
zDo not operate the appliance with wet hands.
zDo not operate the appliance outdoors.
zConnect the appliance to a properly installed safety socket with voltage corresponding
to the “technical data”.
zEnsure that the socket is well-accessible, so that you can remove the mains plug quickly,
if necessary.
zAlways switch the kettle off prior to filling with water.
zDo not operate the kettle unsupervised.
zDo not use the appliance:
- if the kettle or base are damaged,
- if the power cable or mains plug are damaged,
- if the kettle has fallen.
zUnwind the power cable completely prior to use. In doing so, ensure that the power
cable is not damaged by sharp edges, hot items or rotating parts.
zDisconnect the mains plug from the socket:
- if you are not using the kettle,
- after each use,
- before cleaning or putting the appliance away,
- if an obvious fault occurs during operation,
- in a thunder storm.
Always pull on the plug, not on the cable.
