for Plastic Storage Tanks AQF
1. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
When storing and transporting the PE storage tanks, care must be taken to
ensure that the tanks are not damaged by placing them on sharp objects
such as nails, steel chips, etc. Avoid pushing the tanks over rough floors.
Dirty tanks can be cleaned with water. The tanks must not be subjected to
improper use on the construction site.
2. SETUP AND INSTALLATION
Before installing and before filling, the containers should be checked for
contamination inside and cleaned if necessary. The tanks are installed
horizontally on smooth, stable ground. The container bottom stands
completely on the surface. Ensure that the tanks are set up so that they
cannot tip over and that there is sufficient distance from the wall.
Building regulations must be observed.
2.1 BOTTOM CONNECTING PIPE AQF 570 - 1000
AQF containers are equipped with a S 56x4 outlet (AQF 570 and 690 two of
those) for mounting lower connection (971765) or stop cock ( 971640) or only
the adapter (72176). The battery set-up accessories kit means the storage
volume can be enlarged as required.
2.2 STORAGE OF WATER
Plastic storage tanks AQF are made of high-quality polyethylene (HD-PE) and
are properly suitable for drinking water and process water.
HD-PE is physiologically safe and complies with the guideline for domestic
installations and the recommendation for drinking water installations.
3. OPERATION MANUAL
No impermissible stresses may be transferred to the tank wall by connected
pipes. The containers are designed for products with a density of up to 1.15 kg per
dm³. Filling the tank with alternative type liquid is to be avoided. The containers
are designed for pressureless operation. Therefore make sure that the vessels
are sufficiently ventilated during operation. Storage container type PE-AQF are
designed for continuous temperatures of max. 30°C; peak temperatures of the
stored product of 40°C are only admisable if the material cannot heat up consider-
ably above 30°C. Certificates and ordinances regulations must be observed.
The safety of the tanks is only guaranteed if the conditions of this manual and the
legal regulations are observed and the installation is carried out by a specialist
company. This company confirms the proper installation on the acceptance
certificate.
