1 Basic safety advice
The handling of the appliance technology is only allowed for instructed staff. The exact
knowledge of the guide book is an important condition for the staff before handling the
machine.
Please keep the instruction manual close to hand and available for everybody.
deconta has to engage you as the user to follow the guide book and to employ this
engineered technology only in accordance with the regulations and not in a inappropriate
way! In the event of non-observance, deconta assumes no liability.
To ensure safety during operation of the unit, the following must be strictly observed:
Do not use in potentially explosive areas.
Necessary repairs and maintenance may only be performed by authorized staff.
For all repair and maintenance work, the device is to be completely disconnected
from power supply
The safety and protective equipment is to be kept in perfect function.
Attached safety guidelines are to be kept in a readable state and are to be
followed.
Generally applicable legal and other binding regulations for accident prevention
and handling of hazardous substances must be observed.
In order not to restrict safety, any changes on the machine are prohibited.

2 Transport und storage
2.1 Delivery
The unit is delivered on a pallet. To prevent effects of weather or damages, the unit is
wrapped in a plastic film.
Transport damages have to be documented at once during the handing over of the
carrier or another supplier. Please note the possible damages additionally on the way bill.
2.2 Transport
The Transport has to be handled with care to avoid damages due to faulty handling or
imprudence.
In winter and at risk of frost, you have to empty the whole device (pumps, filter housings,
tank.) preliminary to the transport.
Attention: Transport of the machine (also change of location) only with a drained device.
2.3 Storage
In order to avoid damages, the installation has to be kept in a dry area with no access for
unauthorized persons.
Because of risk of frost in winter you have to observe the following:
Empty water pipes, filter housing and tank
Place the water treatment system in a place protected against frost.
Advice for the draining of the tank: In order to drain, move the ball valve.

3 Volume of delivery
The volume of delivery of a water treatment boiler system, unless no other agreements
have been made, consists of:

4 Technical description
4.1 Use according to regulations
During asbestos sanitation works within closed rooms, you have to exclude that the
asbestos fibres leave the sanitation area uncontrolled and endanger the human health
and the environment. For this reason, personnel must leave the sanitation area through a
lock system and take a shower while leaving.
The deconta water treatment assumes the heating of the shower water and takes over
the filtering of the contaminated sewage water.
4.2 Unit description
This is an electric warm water storage for the heating of shower water. The tank can be
filled optionally via the filling port (bucket) or automatically over a connected fresh water
hose. The water is heated to shower temperature (factory-adjusted approx. 37°C) by an
electric heating rod. The produced shower water is pumped out via an internal pump and
filtered.

6 Initial operation
Establish hose connections
Shower water connection => shower top
Sewage suction connection => floor tub shower
Sewage water => canalisation
Optionally connect hose to fresh water supply or fill tank manually via filling port
Connect to power supply
Adjust temperature at heating rod (the heating rod works at all switch settings of
the function switch, but not before a sensor-controlled minimum fill level is
reached)
At use of the automatic fresh water supply, the max. fill level is controlled by a float
switch

Switch setting / function switch
Middle position: heating rod operative
Left position: sewage filtering pump and heating rod operative

Safety advice:
During works on the device always disconnect the plug!
Operate the device only with mains which are secured with fault current protection
switch!
Never operate the device without water! In case of frost risk, empty the device by
opening the stopcock!
Do not change the adjustment of the temperature in the pre-mixing unit! CAUTION!

7 Maintenance and care
7.1 Maintenance
Only undertake the maintenance works under the observance of all relevant safety
precautions, the filter is contaminated!
7.2 Daily maintenance
Check hoses on tightness and continuous flow
Visual check if pre filters are dirty
7.3 Filter change
Attention:
Filter change only if the device is switched off
Demount dirty filters only in wet shape to avoid contamination
Use only approved filters
It is prohibited to use damaged filter candles
Filter change:
Loose the nut
Take out the filter and dispose of it
Insert the new filter candles
Tighten the nut
The suction hoses, pumps, filter housings and filter are contaminated after the first
use. Repairs and maintenance have to be executed only under the observance of
all relevant safety measures. All the filters mentioned have to be disposed of
according to the legal terms.
