Preparing for installation
1,Checking the delivery set
2,Installation tools: a M4 Phillips screwdriver if mounting holes are ready.
3.Inspection of door specifications
a,Door Thickness: 30~53mm.
b,Door lock mounting hole diameter range(single round hole):50-55mm
c,Distance from the center of the lock mounting hole to the door profile (60 or 70mm)
d,Confirm the door opening direction (leftward or rightward, inward or outward)
Door lock installation
1,Latch Bolt Installation:
a, Adjust the Latch bolt according to the distance between the center of the keyhole and the edge of the
door(60mm or 70mm);
b, Determine the orientation of the latch bolt plane according to the door opening direction. (Refer to
Article 3 of Chapter Preparing for installation)
2,Handle adjustment:
a, Leftward and rightward opening adjustment: adjust the limit card screws to the position limiting the
handle lifting.
b, Clutch adjustment: please adjust the clutch position firstly before installation as shown in the marks of
the spindle: Rotate the spindle paralleling to the handle for rightward opening and perpendicular to for
leftward opening
3,Install the batteries into the front handle
The batteries are positioned on the handle of the front panel,please loosen screws and install according
to the positive and negative directions of the battery cover with correspondence to the positive and
negative directions of the batteries. Please refer to the figure above for details.
4,Install the spindle to the front handle, use the spike fix the spindle on the clutch,bending its pin prevents
disengagement, and adjust the direction of fixing spike according to the door opening direction (Refer to
picture in article 2 of this Chapter)
5,Pass the front handle through the installed latch bolt, with three holes pined and attention to the
placement of rubber pad.
6,Testing the fundamental functions: when the external handle is pressed, the door shall be tightly locked
without the fingerprint input for identification; when any fingerprint is input for identification with further
press to the external handle, the door shall be open successfully( only the recorded fingerprint is allowed
to unlock the door after the fingerprint setting)
7, Finish the installation:insert the rear handle from the other side of the door by aligning the quad slot
with the spindle(remember to put the rubber pad in advance), and tighten and secure with two mounting
screws from two holes in the rear handle into the screw holes of the connecting screws. Note: A. The two
screws should be screwed as tightly as possible. B. The screw close to the door handle is not easy to
install and additional attention is required.
8,Test after the installation:
a, When the front handle is pressed, the door shall be tightly locked without the fingerprint input for
identification; when any fingerprint is input for identification with further press to the front handle, the door
shall be open successfully( only the recorded fingerprint is allowed to unlock the door after the fingerprint
setting).
NOTE: If you find any fingerprint could be identified after fingerprint setting, which means the fingerprint
record failed, please refer to the instruction book to do fingerprint record again
b,Press the internal handle and the door shall available to open
Lock settings
1,Add fingerprints
Press the setting switch by rotating the mechanical key clockwise about 15-20 degrees, long press or
about 3 seconds until the blue indicator on and release the switch after 1 beep. Press the finger to set at
the center of the fingerprint area, if the data is collected successfully, the blue indicator will flash once and
a beep will be sounded to remind that a fingerprint is acquired; if there is a in-proper input or failure, the
red indicator will flash once and "tick" two times to remind the invalid collection. A total of 5 times are
needed for any single fingerprint collection. The blue indicator is always on and a long beep will be
sounded to indicated the successful fingerprint acquisition. The blue indicator will flash throughout the
fingerprint entry process(to indicated the entry status), but not in multiple colors.
Note:
a, The finger to touch press requires multiple angles to collect, which benefits the expansion of the
database as well as the sensitivity of identifications!
b, If you find any fingerprint could be identified after fingerprint setting, which means the fingerprint record
failed, please refer to the instruction book to do fingerprint record again.
2,Remove fingerprints
Press the setting switch by rotating the mechanical key clockwise about 15-20 degrees, and hold to allow
the the blue indicators to flash for about 5 seconds until the red light indicator on. Release the blue light
immediately after the first beep and all fingerprints will be removed after a long beep.
3, Fingerprint Identification to Unlock
Press the fingerprint, if the fingerprint is verified, the blue indicator will light shortly with 1 beep, and the
motor will be triggered to open the lock with automatic gyration after 6 seconds; if the fingerprint is not
verified, the red indicator will light shortly for two times with 2 beeps
4, Emergency Mechanical Key for Unlocking
Insert the mechanical key and turn counterclockwise about 45 degrees to open the door
Note: please take good care of the mechanical key, which is a necessary accessory for emergency
opening and setting management.
Trouble shooting
Q: No action or abnormal action found after the installation
A: Check the battery installation direction and battery power for appropriateness, B. The battery cover is
not covered properly.
Q: What to do if the battery is dead?
A: Open the lock by key and replace the battery timely after the door opening (Customers shall note that
the key shall be kept carefully)
Q: How do I know the battery is almost dead?
A: You will be reminded every time you open the door when the battery is low power, red LED on front
handle gives a 5 continuous flashes and the lock will works about 50 unlock times in this condition).
Q: How about the battery life?
A: About 1 year.
Q: The lock does not work properly after installation(e.g. unable to lock, or unable to open).
A: You need to understand the Article 3 of Chapter Preparing for installation and the Article 2 of Chapter
Door lock installation
The position of the card to the outer handle, the parallel and vertical placement between the dowel pin
and the handles of the quadrangular lock shaft as well as the door opening direction shall be set
according to the installation instructions properly. Please refer to the installation instructions for details. If
failure remains, please contact the customer service for assistance.
Q: The lock body is hot or/and the battery runs out quickly
A: Please contact the customer service
Q: The fingerprint recognition success rate is too low! Poor experience of fingerprint recognition.
A: Inadequacy fingerprint entering.The finger to touch press requires multiple angles to collect, which
benefits the expansion of the database as well as the sensitivity of identifications!
Q: After setting the fingerprint, anyone who is not authorized still can open the lock by using any fingerprints
A: Which means the fingerprint record failed, please refer to the instruction book to do fingerprint record
again (in the article 1 of chapter Lock settings).
Q: What if I lost my key?
A: Only a temporarily unlocking with fingerprints is allowed and please replace the lock as soon as
possible. Temporarily unlocking mode is not available (Customers shall note that the key shall be kept
carefully).
Q: I want to remove someone's fingerprints
A: Please refer to the article 2 of chapter Lock settings. Please note that we can't remove a fingerprint
alone
