Operations and Controls
Normal Operating Sounds:
This Curidor™ uses a closed loop cooling system that is compressor based. The compressor
pumps coolant through the specifically designed cooling system which cools the space inside
without removing moisture from within the space. The compressor can generate normal operation
sounds. The following can occur on occasion:
1. Gurgling sound, caused by the coolant flowing through the coils
2. Humming noise made by the compressor (this noise can get louder for brief periods when
the motor is switching on.
3. Crackling/popping sounds. These result from the material’s contraction and expansion due
to temperature differentials.
4. An occasional thumping sound from the compressor starting/finishing its cycle.
5. Fan operation. Humming sound from internal fans cycling the air inside the Curidor™.
6. Unusual noise if typically due to improper installation. Please refer to the installation
procedures to verify all steps were completed.
7. Noise can be increased from architectural settings which increase the level of noise,
echos, or reverberation from normal operation.
Note: An individual’s perception of noise is directly linked to the environment in which the unit is
located in, as well as the specific type of Curidor™ model. Our Curidor™ units are in line with
international standards for such appliances and in line with the latest technical developments.
Please remember that the noise is of the compressor and coolant circulation.
