Please read the following safety instr ctions before installation. And ens re that the nit is installed
correctly.
Please observe all instr ction in order to avoid any inj ry or damage to eq ipment or property.
Safety attentions
The following symbols indicate potential levels of ca tion.
Sit ations with a risk or death or
serio s inj re.
Sit ations with a risk of inj ry or
eq ipment/property damage.
The following symbols indicate compliance which m st be observed
Not allowed or Stop
M st follow or obliged
Installation to be carried o t by q alified
person, End Users m st not install, move or
re-install this eq ipment by themselves
An anti-bird net or similar device sho ld be
installed to o tside vents. Ens re there are
no obstr ctions to or in the d cts
Installation engineers m st follow this man-
al strictly. Improper action can create a
health hazard and red ce efficiency of the
nit
Fresh air vent m st be far eno gh away
from any fl e gas discharge or areas where
hazardo s vapors are present
Unit m st be installed strictly following this
man al and mo nted to a weight bearing
s rface for the weight of the nit
Electric engineering m st follow national
reg lations and the man al, se special ca-
bles. Less capacity cables and improper en-
gineering can ca se electric shock or fire.
D ring maintenance or repair, the nit and
circ it breaker m st be switched off. Other-
wise electric shock co ld occ r.
Gro nd wire cannot be connected to gas
pipe, water pipe, lighting rod or telephone
line etc. Incorrect gro nding can ca se
electric shock.
Power cable and wires m st be installed by
a q alified electrical engineer. Improper
connection can ca se over heating. Fire and
loss of efficiency.
To avoid condensation, ins lation sho ld be
fitted to fresh air d cts. Other d cting may
also req ire ins lation depending on dew
point conditions.
Ins lation between the metal d cting and
wall penetration m st be installed if the
d cting penetrates metal wall cladding, to
avoid risk of electric shock or c rrent leak-
age.
The cover of wiring box m st be pressed
down and closed to avoid d st and dirt en-
tering. Excess d st and dirt can ca se over-
heating of terminals and res lt in fire or
electric shock.
Use only approved installation hardware
and accessories. Fail re to observe can re-
s lt in fire risk, electric shock and eq ip-
ment fail re
Where the nit is positioned, at high level in
a hot h mid sit ation. Please ens re s ffi-
cient ventilation is available
The o tdoor d cts m st be installed facing
downwards to avoid rain water entering.
Improper installation can ca se water leak-
age.
Correctly sized MCB m st be fitted to the
nit s itable earth leakage protection
sho ld also be installed to avoid risk of elec-
tric shock or fire.

Safety Considerations

Safety Considerations
Do not install the nit in an extremely h -
mid conditions, as it may res lt in electric
shock and pose a fire risk.
Do not se the nits as the primary kitchen
extract grease and fatty deposits can block
the heat exchanger, filter and pose a fire
risk.
Don not install the nit in areas there any
poisono s or ca stic gases are present.
Do not install the nit near open flame as it
may res lt in over heating and pose a fire
risk
Acidic or alkali environments can ca se
poisoning or a fire
Rated s pply voltage m st be maintained,
otherwise this may ca se fire.

Installation Considerations

4.Exessive se of flex-d ct and long flex-d ct r ns sho ld be avoided.
5.Fire dampers m st be fitted as per national and local fire reg lations.
6.Unit m st not be exposed to ambient temperat re above 40℃ and sho ld not face an open fire.
7.Take action to avoid dew and frost.
As shown by drawing below, nit will prod ce dew or frost when sat ration c rve is formed from A to C.
Use pre-heater to ens re conditions are kept to right of the c rve (B to B',to move C to C) to prevent
condensation or frost formation.
8. To avoid the o tdoor exha st air cycling back to indoor, the distance between the two vents installed
on the o tside wall sho ld be over 1000mm.
9.If heater is eq ipped to the nit, operation of heater sho ld be synchrono s with the nit, so that the
heater starts to work only when nit starts.
10.D ct m ffler may be considered if ser wants indoor noise to be minimized.
