Safety Precautions
• Never subject speaker to extreme light, temperature, moisture or vibration.
• Do not use or store speaker in a location subject to:
• Extreme high temperature, such as in a sun heated car
• Direct sunlight
• High humidity or places with corrosive substances
• Sub-zero condition, especially during winter
• Clean only with a dry cloth.
• Do not block any of the ventilation openings, install/operate according to these
instructions.
• Refer all servicing to qualied service personnel. Servicing is required when the
unit has been damaged in any way.
The symbol means that the unit complies with the USA FCC safety and electri-
cal interference regulations.

1. Power button – press and hold the button for 3 seconds to turn the
CoolStream BTS201 Bluetooth portable speaker on/off. Light will ash red and blue.
2. Phone button – in Bluetooth mode, status light will be blue. Press
to answer or end a phone call.

3. Status indicator – indicates the working status of BTS201 speaker, consists of
ve LED indicators,
Blue for Bluetooth mode,
Red for charging mode,
Green for SD card mode,
Orange for USB mode,
White for Line-in mode.
4. Mode button – Press to choose your music source mode as listed above.
5,7. / Previous/Next button – during playback, press to go to previ-
ous/next song, press and hold to fast rewind/forward.
6. Play/Pause button – press to play/pause the music playback
8. Volume +/- button – press to adjust the volume level
9. SD card slot – supports memory card
10. Reset button – If there is no response on the speaker, press Reset button to
resume the operation.
11. USB port – for connecting to USB media device
12. DC-in jack – for direct power and charging
13. Line-in cable – for connecting to external music source device

Charging the CoolStream BTS201 Speaker
Charge (or directly power) the BTS201 by connecting it to a computer or USB
power adapter via the supplied USB cable. Charge it for 2 hours, till the Status
indicator light turns from Red to off. The speaker can play up to 4 hours after fully
charged.
Turning On/Off CoolStream BTS201 Speaker
• Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn on/off BTS201, then
the Status indicator will blink red and blue together.
• If the unit is not responding or cannot be turned on, press the Reset button to
reset, then press the Power button to turn on the unit.

1. After powering on the BTS201, press the Mode button once to start the
Bluetooth function. Wait for 5-7 seconds and then the Status indicator will
alternately ash between blue and red.
2. Go to settings on your Bluetooth device and turn on the Bluetooth function.
3. Search for CoolStream BTS201 under Bluetooth devices. Searching may last for
several seconds.
4. Select the CoolStream BTS201 for pairing. (Default pairing password is 0000.).
5. Once connected the Status indicator will have a steady blue light under icon.
Playing Music or Accepting Phone Call via Bluetooth
1. After pairing the CoolStream BTS201 with your Bluetooth device, start playing
music or radio from your Bluetooth device. In some cases you may need to
select the audio device (ie phone or speaker)
2. Press the Volume +/- button on the BTS201 to adjust the volume.
3. Press the Phone button to answer or to end a phone call from your
Bluetooth device. There is a built-in microphone in the speaker to support phone
call conversations.

1. Insert the SD card with its label facing up into the memory card slot in the back of
the BTS201 until it clicks into the place. The BTS201 supports SD card up to 32GB.
2. Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn on BTS201.
3. Press Mode button (M) to select SD card mode.
4. The Status indicator light will be green under icon.
5. Press to start playing music.
6. Press again to pause the music.
7. Press / to turn to previous or next song. Press and hold to fast rewind
or fast forward.
8. Press the Volume +/- button to adjust the volume.
Playing Music from USB Flash Drive
1. Insert the USB Flash Drive into the USB connector in the back of the BTS201 until
it clicks into the place.
2. Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn on BTS201.
3. Press Mode button (M) to select USB mode.
4. The Status indicator light will be orange under icon.
5. Press to start playing music.

6. Press again to pause the music.
7. Press / to turn to previous or next song. Press and hold to fast rewind
or fast forward.
8. Press the Volume +/- button to adjust the volume.
Playing Music from External Drive
1. Plug the Line-in Connector cable into the earphone jack of the external device,
e.g. PCs/laptops, MP3 players, iPods, radios or any mobile phone.
2. Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn on BTS201.
3. Press the Mode button (M) to select Line-in mode.
4. The Status indicator light will be white under Line-in icon.
5. Press to start playing music.
6. Press again to pause the music.
7. Press / to turn to previous or next song. Press and hold to fast rewind
or fast forward.
8. Press the Volume +/- button to adjust the volume.
