Quel rôle le CO2exerce-t-il dans l’aquarium ?
Trois facteurs sont indispensables à la bonne croissance des plantes d’aquarium: la lumière, le dioxyde de carbone (CO2) et les substances
nutritives. Les plantes d’aquarium ne peuvent évoluer de manière optimale que si ces 3 facteurs sont présents dans un rapport correct. Il faut
savoir que par nature, l’eau d’aquarium contient trop peu de CO2, sa concentration n’atteignant en moyenne que 2 mg/l, alors qu’une croissance
végétale optimale nécessite 15 à 25 mg/l. Le CO2Set Profi vous permet tout simplement d’augmenter la teneur en CO2dans votre aquarium et
d’améliorer ainsi la croissance végétale.
Mode d’emploi : Le set CO2Profi est très facile à installer. À cet effet, lisez cependant d’abord attentivement le mode d’emploi complet !
Attention ! Respectez toujours les règles et précautions suivantes si vous utilisez le set CO2Profi et les cylindres jetables : Conserver hors de
portée des enfants ! Utilisation exclusive en aquarium. Utiliser et conserver les cylindres CO2uniquement dans des pièces bien ventilées.
Protéger du soleil et de la chaleur (>50°C). Utilisation exclusive des cylindres en combinaison avec le régulateur de pression de set CO2Profi. Les
cylindres ne peuvent être utilisés qu’en position debout. Utilisez uniquement les cylindres jetables CO2Colombo d’origine.
Contenu : Le set CO2Advance contient les éléments suivants :
1) 3-in-1 Diffuseur CO2.
2) Tuyau CO2
3) Régulateur de pression CO2
4) Cylindre jetable contenant 800 grammes de CO2
Installation : Le schéma ci-contre vous
montre comment installer le set CO2Profi.
1. Vérifiez que le régulateur de pression (3a) est bien vissé et que le joint et le filetage soient propres.
2. Vissez maintenant le régulateur en position bien droite sur le cylindre de pression (4). Continuez à tourner fermement jusqu’à ce que le
régulateur soit fixé complètement sur le cylindre.
3. Dans tous les cas, assurez-vous que le cylindre soit bien droit pendant l’utilisation et qu’il ne puisse pas facilement se renverser !
4. Enlever le bouchon et sortez le diffuseur céramique, remplir le système avec de l'eau et ré-assemblez. Attendez que le diffuseur soit imprégné
pendant 24 h pour avoir des bulles adaptées. Raccordez ensuite le tuyau CO2(2) au diffuseur CO2(1). Placez le diffuseur et sa ventouse livrée
avec celui-ci, aussi profondément que possible dans l’aquarium de façon à ce que le trajet des bulles de CO2dans l’eau soit le plus long possible
et que la dissolution de celles-ci soit maximale. Veillez également à ce que l’eau circule suffisamment à cet endroit afin que le CO2se répande
efficacement dans tout l’aquarium, et qu’ainsi non seulement toutes les plantes en bénéficient, mais que de hautes concentrations locales de
CO2soient ainsi évitées.
5. Le diffuseur contient déjà un clapet anti-retour et un compteur à bulles, l’installation de ces éléments est donc inutile. Veillez cependant à ce
que le diffuseur soit visible, ce qui vous permettra de compter les bulles à l’intérieur du diffuseur.
6. Raccordez maintenant le tuyau au régulateur de pression à l’aide de l’écrou livré.
7. En option, disponible en tant qu'accessoire, installez d’abord l’indicateur CO2: celui-ci renseigne la concentration CO2dans l’eau au moyen 3
couleurs, 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7. Avant d’installer cet indicateur, lisez-en le manuel attentivement.
8. Votre le set CO2Profi étant dès à présent prêt à l’emploi, vous pouvez ouvrir prudemment le régulateur de pression (3b) par lequel circulera le
gaz CO2. Vous remarquerez cette circulation par les toutes petites bulles très fines de CO2qui montent depuis le diffuseur dans l’aquarium. Il
peut s’écouler quelques minutes entre l’ouverture/le réglage du régulateur de pression et l’apparition/la variation de la quantité de bulles à
l’intérieur du diffuseur. Et ce en raison du fait que la pression dans le diffuseur doit se générer avant que le CO2puisse être comprimé via la
membrane céramique ultrafine.
9. Le régulateur, après ouverture, indique immédiatement environ 850 PSI (~60 bar), pression de gaz type pour la formation de gaz CO2. Cette
pression maintiendra ce niveau très longtemps jusqu’à épuisement de la provision de CO2liquide dans le cylindre. Alors seulement la pression
de gaz diminuera. Au moment donc où vous remarquez une baisse de pression, cela signifie que le cylindre est presque vide. Veillez dès lors à
toujours avoir un nouveau cylindre chez vous à ce moment-là afin de pouvoir continuer à assurer l’apport de CO2dans votre aquarium.
10. La mise au point de la quantité correcte de bulles de CO2varie fortement d’un aquarium à l’autre, suivant le pH, le KH, le nombre de
plantes, la circulation, la lumière, etc. Vu que le pH baisse lors de l’ajout de CO2, il importe que celui-ci soit présent en suffisance afin d’éviter
une baisse trop forte. Veillez à ce que le KH atteigne un minimum de 4°DH, avec un optimum entre 6 et 8°DH.
11. Nous vous conseillons de commencer par une quantité de 1 à 2 bulles par minute par 10 litres d’eau d’aquarium, soit 6 à 12 bulles par
minutes qui s’élèvent dans le compteur de bulles pour un aquarium de 60 litres. Lors du réglage, attendez minimum 5 minutes avant de
compter, jusqu’à ce que le réglage modifié du régulateur de pression soit effectif. Il est conseillé de commencer par une trop petite quantité de
bulles plutôt que par une trop grande.
12. Dés que le le set CO2Profi fonctionné pendant 3 jours minimum, vous pouvez commencer à ajuster l’apport de gaz de manière plus précise
(à l’aide de l’indicateur CO2). Cest la concentration de CO2trop basse, vous pouvez dès lors augmenter l’apport de gaz prudemment. Attendez
ensuite quelques heures minimum afin d’être certain qu’un nouvel équilibre soit. Procédez donc par étapes pour augmenter l’apport de CO2.
Remplacer le cylindre jetable : Attention ! Le cylindre se trouve sous haute pression.
1. Lorsque la pression, telle que l’indique le régulateur de pression, est de 0 et que vous ne voyez plus de bulles se former dans le régulateur de
bulles ou s’échapper du diffuseur, dans ce cas le cylindre est vide.
2. Fermer le régulateur de pression et retirez le tuyau CO2du régulateur de pression. Rouvrez ensuite le régulateur de pression afin que toute la
pression puisse s’échapper du cylindre.
3. Une fois absolument certain de l’absence totale de pression sur le cylindre, vous pouvez dévisser le régulateur de pression du cylindre.
4. Vous pouvez ensuite installer le nouveau cylindre, comme indiqué précédemment.
5. Utilisez exclusivement des cylindres jetables Colombo CO2, vu que ceux-ci sont fabriqués suivant des normes sévères et sont complètement
adaptés à l’utilisation en combinaison avec le set CO2Profi.

What does CO2do in the aquarium? For a good growth of aquarium plants, three factors are important: light, carbon dioxide (CO2) and
nutrients. Only when these three factors are balanced, water plants can grow optimally. Normally aquarium water contains very little CO2; on
average the concentration is only 2 mg/l, while for an optimal plant growth 15 to 25 mg/l is required. With the CO2Profi Set you raise the CO2
level easily and enhance the plant growth in your aquarium.
Manual: The CO2Profi Set is easy to install. However first read this manual completely and carefully!
Warning! Always follow the next rules and warnings when using the CO2Profi Set and disposable cylinders:
Keep out of reach of children! Only to be used in aquaria. Use and store CO2-cylinders only in well-ventilated rooms. Protect against sun and
heat (>50°C). Colombo CO2-cylinders are only to be used in combination with the pressure regulator of the CO2Profi Set. Only use cylinders in
an upright position. Use only original Colombo CO2-disposable cylinders.
Content: The CO2Profi Set contains the following parts:
1) 3-in-1 CO2-diffuser
2) CO2-hose
3) Pressure regulator
4) Disposable cylinder with 800 gram of CO2
Installation: In the scheme at the side you can see how the CO2Profi Set has to be installed.
1. Ensure that the flow regulator is closed (3a) and that the thread and gasket are clean.
2. Now twist the flow regulator onto the pressurized cylinder (4) until CO2gas starts to be released from the cylinder. Now fasten the pressure
regulator firmly onto the cylinder.
3. Ensure that the cylinder is upright at all times during usage and that it can’t tip over!
4. Disassemble the top cover from the diffusor and take out the ceramic ring, fill the unit with water and re-assemble. Allow the ceramic ring to
soak for 24 hours before bubbles will be released. Now connect the CO2-hose (2) under water (!) onto the CO2-diffuser (1). Place the diffuser with
the enclosed suction cup as deep as possible in the aquarium so that CO2-bubbles travel as far as possible through the aquarium and thus
dissolve maximally. Also ensure that the water flow is sufficient on this spot so that the CO2mixes well throughout the aquarium but also that
locally too high CO2concentration are prevented.
5. The diffuser already contains a return valve and bubble counter, so these parts do not have to be installed. See to it that the diffuser is well in
sight so that you can count the bubbles within the diffuser.
6. Now connect the hose to the pressure regulator with the enclosed bolt.
7. Optional, sold seperately, install the CO2indicator which shows the CO2concentration via 3 colours 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
8. Your CO2Profi Set is now ready for use and you can carefully open the pressure regulator making the CO2gas flow. You can see that it flows
by looking at the very fine CO2bubbles which rise from the diffuser in the aquarium. There can be a time lag of several minutes between
opening/adjusting the regulator and the appearance/change in the amount of bubbles in the diffuser. This is because the pressure in the diffuser
has to increase to a certain level before the CO2is pushed through the ultra fine ceramic membrane.
9. The flow regulator indicates approximately 850 PSI (~60 bar) directly after opening it. This is the standard pressure of CO2gas. The pressure
indicator will show this value for a long time, as long as there is liquid CO2inside the cylinder. Only when the liquid CO2has run out, the pressure
will decrease below 850 PSI. So, when you see the pressure decreasing, the cylinder is almost empty. See to it that a new cylinder is already
available, so that you can continue the CO2-flow to your aquarium.
10. Adjustment to the right number of CO2bubbles varies tremendously between aquaria, depending on pH, TA, number of plants, water flow,
light, etc. As the pH drops when CO2is added, it is important that the water is sufficiently buffered. To prevent a too strong drop in pH, the TA
has to be at least 4°DH with an optimum of 6 to 8°DH.
11. We advice to start with 1 to 2 bubbles per minute per 10 litre of aquarium water, so for a 60 ltr aquarium this means 6 to 12 bubbles per
minute which rise in the bubble counter. During adjustment of the number of bubbles, wait at least 5 minutes until the altered adjustment of the
flow regulator has come into effect. It is better to start with too little bubbles than too much.
12. When the CO2Profi Set is working for at least 3 days, you can start with the fine tuning of the gas flow (with the help of a CO2indicator). If
the CO2concentration is too low, you can slowly increase the gas flow. Wait for a few hours until you are sure that there is a new equilibrium. In
this way increase the CO2flow stepwise until the correct CO2concentration in the water has been achieved.
Replace the disposable cylinder:
Warning! The cylinder is under high pressure.
1. If the flow regulator indicates a pressure of 0 and when you don’t see any bubbles any more in the bubble counter of in the diffuser, only then
the cylinder is empty.
2. Close the flow regulator and disconnect the CO2-hose of the flow regulator. Subsequently open the flow regulator again to ensure that all the
pressure can escape from the cylinder.
3. When you are certain that there is no pressure in the cylinder, the flow regulator can be disconnected from the cylinder.
4. Next, a new cylinder can be installed in the way described before.
5. Use only Colombo CO2-disposable cylinders as these are made to strict specifications and designed completely to usage as part of the CO2
Profi Set.
Die Wirkung von CO2im Aquarium: Für ein gutes Wachstum der Aquarienpflanzen sind drei Faktoren wichtig: Licht, Kohlendioxid (CO2) und
Nährstoffe. Nur wenn diese 3 Faktoren im richtigen Verhältnis vorhanden sind, können Wasserpflanzen optimal wachsen. Aquarienwasser enthält
von Natur aus zu wenig CO2. Durchschnittlich beträgt die Konzentration nur 2 mg/l, während für optimales Pflanzenwachstum 15 bis 25 mg/l

aufbewahren. Vor Sonne und Hitze (>50°C) schützen. Zylinder dürfen nur in Kombination mit dem Druckregler aus dem CO2Profi Set verwendet
werden. Zylinder nur in aufrechter Position verwenden. Verwenden Sie nur CO2-Original einwegzylinder von Colombo.
Inhalt: Der CO2Profi Set besteht aus den folgenden Teilen:

3. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Zylinder bei der Verwendung immer aufrecht steht und nicht einfach umfallen kann!
4. Demontieren Sie den Decke von den CO2verteiler (1) und nehmen Sie den Keramikring heraus, füllen Sie das Gerät mit Wasser und bauen Sie
alles wieder zusammen. Der Keramikring muss sich ca. 24 Stunden lang vollsaugen, bevor Blasen freigegeben werden. Schließen Sie
anschließend den CO2-Schlauch (3) am CO2-Verteiler (1) an. Befestigen Sie den Verteiler mit dem mitgelieferten Saugnapf so tief wie möglich im
Aquarium, damit die CO2-Bläschen einen möglichst langen Weg durch das Wasser zurücklegen müssen und sich also optimal auflösen können.
Sorgen Sie auch dafür, dass die Strömung an dieser Stelle ausreicht, damit sich das CO2gut verteilt und alle Pflanzen profitieren können, aber
auch lokal hohe CO2-Konzentrationen vermieden werden können.
5. Der Verteiler enthält bereits ein Rückschlagventil und einen Bläschenzähler, sodass die Installation dieser Teile nicht nötig ist. Achten Sie
jedoch darauf, dass der Verteiler sichtbar ist, sodass Sie die Bläschen im Verteiler zählen können.
6. Schließen Sie nun den Schlauch mit der mitgelieferten Klemmmutter am Druckregler an.
7. Optional, als zubehör erhaltlich, installieren Sie ein CO2-Indikator, bevor Sie die Gaszufuhr öffnen. Dieser zeigt anhand von 3 Farben 24
Stunden täglich an 7 Tagen pro Woche die CO2-Konzentration im Wasser an.
8. Ihr CO2Profi Set ist nun gebrauchsfertig und Sie können vorsichtig den Druckregler öffnen, wodurch das CO2-Gas beginnt zu strömen. Das
erkennen Sie daran, dass sehr kleine CO2-Bläschen aus dem Verteiler im Aquarium aufsteigen. Es können einige Minuten Zeit zwischen dem
Öffnen/Verstellen des Druckreglers und dem Erscheinen/Verändern der Bläschenmenge im Verteiler vergehen. Denn im Verteiler muss sich erst
Druck aufbauen, bevor das CO2durch die sehr feine keramische Membran gepresst werden kann.
9. Der Druckregler zeigt sofort nach dem Öffnen ungefähr 850 PSI (~60 bar) an. Das ist der Standardgasdruck von gasförmigem CO2. Der Druck
bleibt sehr lange bei diesem Wert, bis der flüssige CO2-Vorrat im Zylinder verbraucht ist, erst dann sinkt der Gasdruck. Wenn Sie also sehen, dass
der Druck abnimmt, ist der Zylinder fast leer. Sorgen Sie also dafür, dass Sie dann einen neuen Zylinder im Haus haben um die CO2-Versorgung
Ihres Aquariums gewährleisten zu können.
10. Die Reglung der richtigen Menge CO2-Bläschen variiert sehr stark von Aquarium zu Aquarium, je nach pH-Wert, KH-Wert, Anzahl Pflanzen,
Strömung, Licht usw. Da der pH-Wert sinkt, wenn CO2zugefügt wird, ist es wichtig, dass dieser ausreichend gepuffert wird um einen zu starken
Abfall zu vermeiden. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der KH-Wert mindestens 4°DH ist, optimal ist ein Wert zwischen 6 und 8°DH.
11. Wir empfehlen mit 1 bis 2 Bläschen pro Minute pro 10 Liter Aquarienwasser zu beginnen. Das bedeutet also für ein 60-Liter-Aquarium 6 bis
12 Bläschen pro Minute, die im Bläschenzählwerk aufsteigen. Warten Sie beim Einstellen mindestens 5 Minuten mit dem Zählen, bis die
veränderte Einstellung des Druckreglers Effekt hat. Es wird empfohlen eher mit zu wenigen als zu vielen Bläschen zu beginnen.
12. Wenn der CO2Profi Set mindestens 3 Tage läuft, können Sie die Gaszufuhr genauer einstellen. Wenn die CO2-Konzentration zu niedrig ist
können Sie die Gaszufuhr vorsichtig erhöhen. Warten Sie anschließend mindestens ein paar Stunden, sodass Sie sicher sind, dass ein neues
Gleichgewicht eingestellt wurde und die CO2-Konzentration den richtigen Wert anzeigt. Erhöhen Sie so stufenweise die CO2-Zufuhr, bis die
CO2-Konzentration richtig ist.
Einwegzylinder austauschen:
Achtung! Der Zylinder steht unter hohem Druck.
1. Wenn der Druck, wie im Druckregler angegeben, 0 ist und Sie keine Bläschen mehr im Bläschenzählwerk entstehen oder aus dem Verteiler
aufsteigen sehen, ist der Zylinder leer.
2. Drehen Sie den Druckregler zu und ziehen Sie den CO2-Schlauch vom Druckregler. Drehen Sie anschließend den Druckregler wieder auf um
sicher zu stellen, dass der gesamte Druck aus dem Zylinder entweichen kann.
3. Wenn Sie sicher sind, dass der Zylinder nicht mehr unter Druck steht, kann der Druckregler vom Zylinder gedreht werden.
4. Anschließend kann ein neuer Zylinder montiert werden, wie oben angegeben.
5. Verwenden Sie nur Colombo CO2-Einwegzylinder, da diese nach strengen Anforderungen hergestellt und vollständig auf die Verwendung mit
dem Colombo CO2Profi Set abgestimmt sind.
