9. Do not operate iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or damaged. To avoid an
electric shock hazard, do not disassemble the iron, take it to a Clikon service centre for examinaon
and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause an electric shock hazard when the iron is used.
10. Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, use cauon.
Note: To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high waage appliance on the same circuit. If an
extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10 ampere cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage
may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.

- The heat seng marks on the adjustable control dial of this iron match those of the Internaonal
Texle Care Labelling Code.
- Garments (e.g. Nylon, Acetates, Acrilan, Court Elle, Orlon, Triacetates, Tricel) marked with 1 dot
recommendaon should be ironed at the lowest temperature range.
- Garments (e.g. Wool, Polyester mixtures, Polyester/Coon, Linen, Coon, Rayon, Rayon mixtures,
Rayon/Linen) which are suitable for ironing at 2 and 3 dot sngs usually require steam pressing.
- For garments where the material is not clearly stated, start with a lower temperature seng and work
your way up unl you nd the correct seng for that material.
Warning: The Iron can be extremely hot. Do not touch the soleplate or neighboring surfaces of the iron while
it is plugged in, or for 10 minutes aer it has been switched o. Please allow sucient me for cooling before
handling the iron or looping the cord around it.
- Remove the Iron from the packaging and remove and sckers or plasc that may be aached to the
iron.
- Unwind the power cord and check to make sure it is in working condion.
- Plug the iron into the socket and set the heat control dial to the temperature required.
- Place the iron upright (on its heel), and allow it to heat up. The indicator light will turn o when the
iron is at temperature.
- The iron is now ready to be used. The power indicator light will turn on and o while the iron is in
use. This is perfectly normal, and indicates that the heang element is working to keep the iron at the
correct temperature.
Note: The iron heats up quicker than it cools down. Therefore, starng your ironing with 'cool' fabrics and
working up the sengs will save me and electricity.
