Safety
• The iron may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and
knowledge provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of theappliance in asafe way and understand thehazards involved.
• Never let children play with theproduct.
• Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children but only under
adultsupervision.
• Never leave theiron unattended when it is plugged into thewall socket.
• Unplug theiron before filling thewatertank.
• Only use theiron on astable surface.
• When not in use, place theiron on astable surface.
• Never use theiron if you have dropped it on thefloor, or if there is any visible
damage or leakage.
• If themains lead is damaged it may only be replaced by themanufacturer, retailer
or other qualified person to avoid any danger.
• Remember that theiron becomes extremely hot during use. Lettheiron cool off
completely before putting it away for storage.
• The iron should be kept out of reach of children under theage of 8 when it is in
use or while it is cooling down.
Before initial use
The first few times theiron is used, aharmless odour and smoke may be given off.
Thisis completely normal and is only temporary. Testtheiron for thefirst time on
anold piece of cotton cloth to check that both thesoleplate and thewater tank
areclean.

Water selection
This iron can be used with normal tap water. However, if you live in anarea of relatively
hard water, we suggest that you use distilled water.
Refilling
1. Set thesteam control knob to and thetemperature control knob to min.
2. Unplug theiron and let thesoleplate cooldown.
3. Fill thetank with water up to themax levelmark.
Temperature setting
• Always check thefabric care label on your clothing.
• Always use thelowest recommended temperature setting if thefabric consists of
mixed materials.
1. Plug in theiron and stand it upright.
2. Turn thetemperature control knob to thedesired setting.
3. The indicator lamp will go off when thetemperature has been reached.
Theindicator lamp will come on and go off from time to time as thedesired
temperature is maintained.
Spray feature
This function can be used at any time and does not affect thetemperature setting.
Pressthespray button (4) to spray ajet ofwater.
Steam ironing
This feature only works on thehigher temperature settings.

1. Fill thesteam iron with water if you have not already doneso.
2. Plug in theiron and stand it upright.
3. Set thetemperature control knob to ●● or ●●●.
4. The indicator lamp will go off when thetemperature has been reached.

temperature is maintained.
5. Set thesteam control knob (3) to thedesired setting, steam will come out of
theholes in thesoleplate.
Note: Watercan escape from theholes in thesoleplate if thetemperature setting is
too low. Ifthis happens, set thetemperature control knob (5) to ●● or ●●●. Thesteam
will return when thecorrect temperature has been reached.

Steam shot feature
The steam shot feature can be used for both dry ironing and steam ironing. However,
thetemperature must be set on high. Thesteam shot feature can help you eliminate
stubborn creases.
1. Hold theiron over thepiece of clothing.
2. Press thesteam shot button (max 2 seconds) until thesteam begins flowing
through theholes of thesoleplate.
3. Release thesteam shot button.
Dry ironing
1. Set thesteam control knob to .
2. Plug in theiron and stand it upright.
3. Turn thetemperature control knob to thedesired setting.
4. The indicator lamp will go off when thetemperature has been reached.
Theindicator lamp will come on and go off from time to time as thedesired
temperature is maintained.
Note:
Do not scratch thesoleplate – do not slide it over metal items such as buttons orzips.
Afteruse
Warning: Theiron is very hot directly after use. Remember to let it cool off completely
before storing it.
1. Unplug theproduct from thewall socket.
2. Empty thewater tank by pouring out thewater. Pressthespray button afew times
to make sure thetank is completely empty.
Automatic standby shutdown/restart
The iron is equipped with an auto standby safety shutdown feature. If the iron is left
unused for approximately 8 minutes it switches to standby mode automatically.
If the iron is picked up when it is in standby mode, it will come back on again.
Note: This feature does not switch the iron off completely. When you have finished
ironing the iron must be switched off at the wall socket or unplugged.

Self-cleaning
We recommend that you use theself-cleaning function at least once amonth, possibly
more depending on thequality of thewater in your area. Theself-cleaning function
removes scale and dust particles from thewatertank.
1. Fill thewater tank to halffull.
2. Set thetemperature control to max and thesteam control knob to .
3. Stand theiron upright.
4. Plug theiron in to awall socket.
5. Wait until theiron has become really hot.
6. Hold theiron over abasin/sink and press theself-cleaning button for afew
seconds. Waterand steam should begin flowing from thesoleplate.
7. Carefully shake theiron back and forth to loosen any scale or dirt deposits inside
thewatertank.
8. Stand theiron upright and let it reheat.
9. When theindicator light turns off, iron atest piece of cotton fabric. Thiscleans
thesoleplate from possible scale anddirt.
Care and maintenance
Cleaning thehousing
• Note: Unplugtheiron from thewall socket before cleaning.
• Wipe theexterior with amoist, soft cloth. Donot use abrasive cleaning agents
orsolvents.
Disposal
This product should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

• Tänk på att strykjärnet blir mycket varmt under användning. Låtstrykjärnet svalna
ordentligt innan du stoppar undan det för förvaring.
• Förvaras utom räckhåll för barn yngre än 8 år när apparaten är ianvändning eller
håller på att svalna.
Före första användning
Första gången du använder strykjärnet kan det ryka lite och/eller avge lukt. Detär helt
normalt och upphör inom kort. Provstryk första gången på ettgammalt bomullstyg för
att kontrollera att sulan och vattenbehållaren ärrena.

Val av vatten
Det går bra att använda vanligt kranvatten. Omdu bor iettområde med extra hårt
vatten bör du istället använda destillerat vatten.
Påfyllning av vatten
1. Ställ ångkontrollen iläge och temperaturvredet påmin.
2. Ta ur nätsladden ur vägguttaget och se till att stryksulan inte ärvarm.
3. Fyll på vatten ivattenbehållaren till maxnivån.
Temperaturinställning
• Kontrollera alltid råden för strykning på dina kläder.
• Använd alltid den lägsta rekommenderade temperaturen om det är blandade
material iplagget.
