III. INSTALL BATTERY
1) To remove Battery Cover, insert Opener Key into Cover Slot.
2) Turn battery cover counter clockwise as shown in figure 1
below and remove.
3) Insert battery “+” side up between bracket holders.
4) With battery in place, insert Battery Cover in the unlocked
position shown in figure 1, then turn clockwise to the locked
position as shown in figure 2.

IV. DOWNLOAD / INSTALL PERSONAL SAFETY APP
1) For Android (4.3+) device users -
i. tap on Google Play icon on phone
ii. search for “Cassia Personal Safety”
iii. tap on Install button, then Open when installed
2) For iOS (7.0+) device users (COMING SOON) -
i. tap on App Store icon on phone
ii. search for “Cassia Personal Safety”
iii. tap on Get button, then Open when installed
V. SETUP CASSIA PERSONAL SAFETY APP
1) Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in the Setting menu on
user’s smart phone
2) After launching the Cassia Personal Safety App, you must
accept the Subscriber Agreement before using App. Use of
App constitutes acceptance of the terms and use conditions
of the Personal Safety Sensor and App.
3) If you do not accept the terms of the Subscriber Agreement,

please cease using the product immediately.
4) Upon acceptance of Subscriber Agreement, proceed with the
onscreen instructions to setup user profile, enter emergency
contacts, and bind sensor to phone.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled in the
phones Settings menu in order to connect Sensor with phone.
VI. USE WITH CASSIA HUB
1) Please see Cassia Hub setup instructions to install the Hub.
No additional setup is required between Sensor & Hub.
2) If the Personal Safety Sensor is out-of-range of the user’s
phone, it will automatically attempt to communicate to Hub.
VII. ALERT DETECTED
1) When a Fall or Alert Button push is detected, the Alert LED on
the sensor will flash RED and then the phone will buzz or
make a sound indicating an alert has been detected.
2) The App will proceed to initiate an outbound call from your
cell phone to the first contact on your friends list as well as
send an SMS message to user’s contact list in App.
3) If the alert is a false alarm, user has 20 seconds to tap on
the Cancel Alarm button in App to cancel outbound call and
SMS message.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
1) The Personal Safety Sensor App must remain running in the
background -- Do not close App.
2) The sensor must remain within approx. 30 feet of user’s
phone to remain connected to phone.
3) The cell phone must operate with an active cellular service.
4) If the user’s phone is unavailable and the Personal Safety
Sensor connects with a Cassia Hub, only SMS messages will
be sent from Hub to Contacts. No voice call will be initiated.
5) The Personal Safety Sensor must have a battery installed
with sufficient power level. Note: If LED is flashing RED in
normal operation mode, please replace the battery.
6) Press and hold Alert button for at least 0.5 seconds to
trigger an alert.
