Important Safety Instructions
1) Read these instructions.

5) Do not use this apparatus near water.
6) Clean only with dry cloth.
7) Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance
with the manufacturer’s instructions.
8) Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat
registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that
produce heat.
9) Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched
particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point
where they exit from the apparatus.
10) Only use attachments/accessories specified by the
manufacturer.
11) Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused
for long periods of time.
12) Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is
required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such
as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled
or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been
exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has
been dropped.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
OPERATION
SETTING UP THE CDC-560
•Be sure that a micro SD card is inserted into the micro SD
Card Slot.
•Remove the thin plastic film from the suction cup.
•Screw the provided suction cup into the bracket mount of the
CDC-560.

Hide the power cable by placing (Wedging)
it in the space between the windshield and
the headliner.
•Clean and dry the area of
the windshield where you
will mount the suction cup.
•Press the suction cup firmly
onto the windshield. Then
press the lock latch down to
secure it and the CDC-560
in place.
•Plug the mini USB end of
the provided power cable
into the Mini USB port of the
CDC-560. Plug the other
end into the cigarette port of
your car.

POWER ON/OFF
When plugged into your car, the CDC-560 will automatically power
on when the car is powered on and automatically power off when
the car is powered off. To manually turn the dashcam on/off, press
and hold the "Power" button. Note: The CDC-560 comes with a
built-in battery that contains just enough power to save any ongoing
recordings. As a result, the dashcam will remain on for a few
additional seconds after the car has been powered off.
RECORDING
The CDC-560 will automatically enter Recording Mode and begin
recording after being powered on. This is indicated by both the
flashing blue LED indicator and the flashing red recording icon on
screen. Recording will automatically stop when the car is turned off.
To manually start or stop recording, press the "Ok" Button.
CAMERA MODE
Camera Mode allows you to take photos with the dashcam, which
are saved to the micro SD card. To enter Camera Mode, press the
"Mode" Button once while in recording mode. To take a photo,
press the "Ok" Button.

AUDIO MODE
Audio Mode allows you to take audio-only recordings of what’s
happening around you. To enter Audio Mode, press the "Mode"
Button twice while in recording mode. While in audio mode press
the "Ok" button to start/stop recording audio.
PLAYBACK MODE
Playback Mode allows you to view and manage the videos and
photos stored on the micro SD card. To enter Playback Mode, press
the "Mode" Button three times while in recording mode. You can
now play/pause video files while in this mode by pressing the "Ok"
Button.
While in Playback Mode, you can also select between deleting,
locking, and unlocking any files by pressing the "menu" button. This
is discussed more in the PLAYBACK MENU section below.
MENUS
BUTTON FUNCTION
•Up and Down Buttons: Navigate through options in the menu.
•OK Button: Select or confirm the highlighted option.
•Menu Button: Next menu, or exit the menu.
RECORDING MENU
•Size: Choose between 1080P, 720p, and VGA.
•Time Stamp: Turn the Time Stamp On/Off.
•Motion Detect: Turn On/Off Motion detection.
Note: Motion Detection automatically turns on the camera and
starts recording when motion is detected in the camera’s field
of view.
•Video Time: The Video Time feature changes the length of the
video clips recorded by the dashcam.
Choose between Off (one continuous file), 1 minute, 3 minutes,
or 5 minutes.
•Voice Record: Record all videos with or without audio by
turning this feature On/Off.

CAMERA MENU
•Size: Choose between 3M, 2M, 1.3M, or VGA for the size of
the image files taken while in Camera Mode.
PLAYBACK MENU
•Delete: This function deletes videos and images from the
micro SD card. You can choose to erase the currently
selected file with the 'Delete One' option or erase all saved
files with the 'Delete All' option.
•Lock/Unlock: Locking a clip means that it will not be deleted
as the camera overwrites files to continuously record. You
can choose to Lock One file, Lock All files, Unlock One file, or
Unlock All files.
•Thumbnail: To view thumbnails of all files on the micro SD
card in Preview Mode, select Execute in the Thumbnail
function.
•Volume: Adjust the volume of playback and button functions,
from 0 (mute) to 6 (loudest).
SETUP MENU
The Setup Menu is accessible from any of the above menus
(Recording, Camera, and Playback) by pressing the Menu
button once to enter the mode’s specific menu, then pressing the
Menu Button again to enter the Setup Menu.
•Format: This function formats the micro SD card, completely
erasing all files on it (including locked files). Be sure to
download all files you wish to save to a separate storage
device, then select Execute to format the micro SD card.
•Language: Select your preferred display language.
•Auto-Off: This feature allows you to adjust how long the
camera will remain on when recording has stopped. You may
choose between having the camera turn off after 1 minute, 3
minutes, 5 minutes or have it remain on indefinitely.

•System Reset: This option resets the CDC-560 to factory
settings. This will also reset all customized choices in the
previously described menus. To perform a system reset,
select Execute in the System Reset function.
•Light Frequency: Choose between 50Hz and 60Hz for the
camera’s light frequency.
•Date Input: The user may use this setting to set the date and
time.
•USB: The user may use this setting to switch between Disk
Drive and PC Cam.
•Screen Saver: This feature allows you to adjust how long
the camera's screen will remain on after the last input. You
may choose between having the camera screen go dark after
1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes or have it remain on
indefinitely.
•Version: Displays the version number.
USB MODE
You can connect the CDC-560 to a computer via a Mini USB
Cable. This allows you to back up your video files and free up
space on your micro SD card. When you plug in the CDC-560, it
will appear as a removable disk on your computer. Follow your
computer’s prompts to safely transfer files and disconnect from
the CDC-560.

SUMMIT CE GROUP LIMITED WARRANTY (“Warranty”) ― For Product Categories Listed in
Chart Below (as applicable, “Product”) Before returning your Product for service under this
Warranty, please (i) read the instruction manual carefully. If you are still having trouble with your
Product, please con-tact Technical Support at [email protected] Warning: Some
Products may contain components that are small enough to be swallowed. Please keep out of
reach of children.
Subject to the terms and conditions herein, SUMMIT CE GROUP LLC (hereinafter called
“SUMMIT CE GROUP”) warrants to the original purchaser of the Product (“Customer”) that for
the applicable Warranty Period listed below, the Product will be free from defects in material or
workmanship under normal, non-commercial use (“Defects”). Warranty Period encompasses, as
listed below, separate
“Coverage Periods” for Parts and Labor, each Coverage Period for one year, to begin from the
origi-nal date of Customer purchase. If Customer returns a defective Product (or any component
thereof) during the applicable Warranty Period, SUMMIT CE GROUP will, at its option, during
the specified Coverage Periods for Parts and Labor (as applicable) either: (i) repair the Product
(or, as applicable, any component thereof) or (ii) replace the Product (or, as applicable, any
component thereof) with a new or refurbished Product (or, as applicable, any component
thereof), in either case free of charge to Customer for Parts and/or Labor (as applicable) during
the specified Coverage Period only, and excluding applicable shipping charges (noted below),
for which the Customer is responsible. The foregoing states the Customer’s exclusive remedy
and SUMMIT CE GROUP’s sole liability for breach of the limited warranty contained herein.
This Warranty specifically excludes any Product (or, as applicable, any component thereof) that
has been subject to or Defects resulting from: (a) any neglect or misuse by a Customer, an
accident, improper application, violation of operating instructions for the Product, any other
Customer-induced damage, or the alteration or removal of any Product serial number; (b) any
modification or repair to Product (or, as applicable, any component thereof) by any party other
than SUMMIT CE GROUP or a party authorized in writing by SUMMIT CE GROUP; (c) any
damage to Product (or, as applicable, any component thereof) due to power surges, incorrect
electrical voltage, misconnection to any device, or malfunction of any device used with the
Product (or, as applicable, any component thereof); (d) cosmetic damage to the Product (or, as
applicable, any component thereof) caused by normal wear and tear; (e) shipping damage that
occurs while the Product is in transit; (f) damage caused by heat sources, sunlight,
electromagnetic conditions, or other climatic conditions; or (g) any acts of God. Product is sold to
Customer for personal, non-commercial use only. Product is not warranted for Cus-tomer’s
commercial or rental use. In addition, Product is not warranted against failure, and should not be
used by Customer for any ap-plication where (i) there is a risk that any data stored on Product
will be breached or otherwise com-promised, or (ii) the data stored on Product is relied upon for
medical or lifesaving applications. SUMMIT CE GROUP disclaims any Warranty for any of the
foregoing uses to the fullest extent permitted by law. Customer assumes any and all risks
associated with such uses of Product, and agrees to indemnify SUMMIT CE GROUP for any
damages claimed against SUMMIT CE GROUP for such uses. EXCEPT FOR EXPRESS
WARRANTIES STATED ABOVE AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW,
THE PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS”, AND SUMMIT CE GROUP DISCLAIMS ALL
OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY (I)
OF MERCHANTABILITY, (II) OF FITNESS FOR A EXPRESS WARRANTIES STATED ABOVE
AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED
“AS IS”, AND SUMMIT CE GROUP DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING

WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY (I) OF MERCHANTABILITY, (II) OF
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR (III) OF NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD

EVENT WILL SUMMIT CE GROUP BE LIABLE TO CUSTOMER OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR
ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL,
EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE
DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LOST PROFITS OR REVENUES, LOSS
OR INACCURACY OF ANY DATA OR COST
OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (INCLUDING
NEGLIGENCE) AND EVEN IF SUMMIT CE GROUP HAS BEEN
ADVISED OF THE
POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, SUMMIT CE GROUP’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO
CUSTOMER FOR ACTUAL DIRECT DAMAGES FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER SHALL BE
LIMITED TO THE CUMULATIVE PRODUCT FEES PAID BY THAT CUSTOMER FOR THE
PRODUCT CAUSING THE DAMAGES, IF ANY. This Warranty gives Customer specific rights,
and Customer may also have other rights that vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. To obtain
Warranty service, Customer must email SUMMIT CE GROUP Technical Support prior to making
a Product return. Customer must include with Product return the following items (failure to
enclose any of these items may result in a delay in the processing of your Warranty claim): (i) a
dated sales receipt that indicates the place of purchase,
model number of Product, and amount
paid; (ii) a detailed description of Customer’s problem with Product; (iii) Customer’s full name,
phone number, and return
address, and; (iv) a money order made out to SUMMIT CE GROUP
Electronics Corporation to cover return shipping charges to US destinations only, for the
applicable dollar
amount shown for the Product in the table above. SUMMIT CE GROUP will not
make return shipments to a P.O. Box. For shipping to international addresses, actual freight will
be charged to Customer. Return your Product freight-prepaid in its original packaging, or
packaging that affords an equal measure of protection. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for the
processing of your claim (6 to 8 weeks from November to February).
