FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
Thank you for choosing a Britton® product. Please take a little time to read the important safety
notes detailed below. This will ensure many years of happy, safe use.
This child car seat can be used with the harness for children of 9 to 18kg (approx. 9 months to
4 years) (Group 1).
This child car seat can be used without the harness for children weighting 15 to 36kg (approx. 3
up to 11 years) (Group 2/3).
Safety notes:
• WARNING: A CHILDS SAFETY IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
• WARNING: After an accident the child car seat should be replaced.
• WARNING: NEVER use this child car seat on side facing vehicle seat.
• WARNING: NEVER use this child car seat on passenger seat tted with active airbag.
• WARNING: NEVER leave your child unattended, even for the shortest time.
• WARNING: ALWAYS secure your child with the safety harness when using this child car seat.
• WARNING: DO NOT attempt to dismantle, modify or add to any part of the child car seat or
change the way your vehicle seat belts are made or used.
• WARNING: Any rigid items and plastic parts of the child car seat must be so located and
installed that they are not liable, during everyday use of the vehicle, to become trapped by a
movable seat or in a door of vehicle.
• WARNING: If any load bearing points other than those described in the instructions are used,
this can signicantly reduce the protection factor of the child car seat.
• WARNING: DO NOT use the child car seat in the home. It has not been designed for home
use and should only be used in your car.
• This child car seat can only be installed forward facing using a three-point lap and diagonal
seat belt.
• Always make sure that the child car seat harness and vehicle belt are correctly tensioned to
ensure maximum protection for your child.
• The buckle has been designed to be released quickly in an emergency. IT IS NOT CHILD
PROOF. More inquisitive children might learn to undo the buckle. Children should be told never
to play with it or any other part of the child car seat.
• Never use any replacement parts other than those that are approved by Britton.
• The lap belt must be used well down in such a way as to properly secure the pelvis of the
child.
• Never use the child car seat without its fabric cover because the seat cover constitutes as an
integral part of the child car seat performance. The seat cover should not be replaced with any
other than the ones recommended by Britton.
• Safely secure any luggage and other objects that might cause injury to the occupant of the
child car seat in the event of a crash.
• After an accident, replace your child car seat and the vehicle seat belts. Although they may
look undamaged, they may not protect your child as well as they should.
• Britton advise that child car seats should not be brought or sold second-hand. Many seats
sold through local advertising and car-boot sales have been found to be dangerous.
• Prevent harness/vehicle belt from getting trapped between car doors or rubbing against sharp
parts of the seat or body.
• If the harness/vehicle belts becomes cut or frayed, replace it before travelling.
• Periodically inspect the harness of wear, paying particular attention to attachment points,
stitching and adjusting devices.
• If the vehicle has been left in the sun for a long time, check the seat cover and make sure it is

not too hot before placing the child in the child car seat.
• Security is only guaranteed if the child car seat is tted in accordance with these instructions.
• Failure to comply with the above instructions will automatically void the warranty and exempt
Britton from any liability.
• Store this car seat in a safe place when it is not being in used. Avoid placing heavy objects on
top of it. Do not allow your child car seat to contact with corrosive substances e.g. battery acid.
NOTICE:
1. This is a “Universal” child restraint .It is approved to ECE Regulation No.44.04 series of
amendments, for general use in vehicles and it will t most, but not all, car seats.
2. A correct t is likely if the vehicle manufacturer has declared in the vehicle handbook that the
vehicle is capable of accepting a “Universal” child restraint for this age group.
3. This child restraint has been classied as “Universal” under more stringent conditions as
those which applied to earlier designs which do not carry this notice.
4. lf in doubt, consult either the child restraint manufacturer or retailer.
This child restraint is only suitable if the vehicle is tted with a type approved 3 point with re-
tractor safety belt, in compliance with standard UN / ECE Regulation No.16 or other equivalent
standards.

2. HARNESS ADJUSTMENT
2.1 Releasing the harness system
Press the shoulder strap adjusting button (J) with one hand and pull the shoulder straps to
release it (Fig. 2).
Important! For group 2 and 3, without harness system, go directly to 2.2.
2.2 Adjusting harness system and headrest
Adjust the headrest by pulling the adjusting ring of the headrest (A). Harness system is adjust-
ed simultaneously (Fig. 3).
Warning! Make sure the harness is on the same height as your child’s shoulders. Otherwise
adjust the harness on the suitable height (Fig. 4).

3. APPROVED SEAT BELT REQUIREMENT
WARNING: Your child car seat can only be installed forward facing using a three point lap and
diagonal belt in the front or rear passenger seats of the car.
4. INSTALLATION OF THE CARSEAT 9-18 KG (APPROX 9MONTH-4YEARS) GROUP 1
4.1 Adjusting backrest
Put the car seat on car seat facing forward and turn the turning knob (L) to make the backrest
touch closely the car seat (Fig. 5).
4.2 Routing the diagonal and lap belt
Make sure there is no twist of car belt. Route the diagonal belt through backrest belt hook (F)
and lap belt under armrest of seat base. Guide the metal tongue of car belt through the hole on
backrest on one side over the another side. Then put the diagonal belt above armrest through
diagonal belt guide (R) while lap belt under armrest (Fig. 6).
4.3 Tightening the child car seat
Check and make sure there is no twist of the belt. Insert the metal tongue of car belt into the
car seat buckle until you hear a clear „click“ (Fig. 7).
Tighten the seatbelt by pulling in the direction of the seatbelt reel (Fig. 8).
5. SECURING YOUR CHILD IN THE CAR SEAT FOR GROUP 1 (9-18KG).
5.1 Loosing the shoulder straps
Press the shoulder strap adjusting button (J) with one hand and simultaneously pull the shoul-
der straps (H) with another hand to loose it (Fig. 2).
5.2 Opening the buckle
Hold the two buckle latches with one hand, with another hand hold the main part of the buckle
pressing the red button with your thumb until two tongues pop out from the buckle (Fig. 9).
5.3 Seating your child in the car seat
Put your child in the seat and put the shoulder pads on the child’s shoulder (Fig. 10).
5.4 Locking the buckle
Guide the two buckle latches together and engage them into the harness buckle (E) (Fig. 11).
Warning! Make sure that two buckle latches are put together correctly and there is no twist of
the harness.
5.5 Tightening the harness straps
Pull the harness adjust strap (K) until the harness is a comfortable but FIRMLY around your
child. (Fig. 12).
Finally, pull both chest pads down from your child’s shoulders onto their chest.
Note: The chest pads are an important safety feature. Never use the child car seat without
them.
6. INSTALLING THE CHILD CAR SEAT (WITHOUT CHILD CAR SEAT HARNESS) 15-25KG
(APPROX 4-6 YEARS OLD) GROUP 2
6.1 Removing the harness system
Release the shoulder straps (H) and unhook it from the metal anchor (O) (Fig. 13).
Pull the shoulder pads (D) and shoulder straps (H) out of the strap slot out of the strap slot on
the shoulder strap height adjust board (M) (Fig. 14).
Get both buckle latches out from the shoulder straps (H). Now you can remove the shoulder
strap easily by pulling it from the seat base (Fig. 15).
Remove harness buckle (E) and crotch pad (I).
Raise the seat base cover (Fig. 16).
Slide the metal plate which is used to fasten the harness buckle to the seat shell down on its
edge through the strap slot (Fig. 17).
Take off the plastic plate on bottom of seat base (Q) (Fig. 17).
Slide the metal plate which is used to fasten the harness buckle to the seat shell up on its edge
through the strap slot (Fig. 19).
