using your mixer on the stand
Always avoid contact with moving parts while the appliance is in operation.
Keep hands, hair, clothing as well as other utensils away from the beaters/
dough hooks during operation. Never attempt to remove or replace the beaters/
dough hooks whilst your food mixer is in operation, or plugged in to the mains
supply.
1. Ensure that your mixer is unplugged from the supply socket and the on/off switch
is set to off. Press the mixer head lock release button and raise the mixer stand
head until it clicks.
2. Position the lower rim of the stainless steel mixing bowl over the mixing bowl
turntable.
3. Rotate the mixing bowl in a clockwise direction until it clicks into position.
4. Fit the beater with the curved bottom edge into the left hand socket. The sockets
are marked with symbols to help you to insert the correct beater/dough hook.
5. Insert the beater with the atter lower edge into the right hand socket. When
correctly tted, both beaters should be locked in place.
To use the dough hooks, insert the dough hook with the rounded hook-shaped
end into the left hand socket. Insert the dough hook with the L-shaped end into
the right hand socket.
6. Press the mixer head lock release button and lower the mixer head into the bowl
until the head clicks. Never plug in or switch on your stand mixer before the
mixer head has been lowered into the mixing bowl.
7. Add the ingredients to the mixing bowl.
8. Plug your mixer into the mains supply socket.
9. Turn the on/off button to the on position then use the +button to select the
required speed setting. Adjust the speed as required with the +and –buttons.
Use the bowl speed control to select the appropriate bowl speed (Hi or Lo).
10. When you switch your mixer on, the lower line of the display will show 0:00
When you select a speed, the timer will start to count up in 1 second intervals.
You can use this feature to time mixing operation. When you switch off your
mixer or set the speed to 0, the timer will reset to 0:00.
11. Use the specially shaped spatula supplied to scrape any mixture from around the
sides of the bowl. Always stop your mixer before scraping down the sides of the
bowl.
